MOD APPLICATIONS: OPEN

Hello everyone!

We’re currently searching for new moderators to join the mod crews of the Dick Rare Pair Challenge Tumblr Blog and the Dick Rare Pair Discord Server.

@aveaveria will be staying on both mod crews while @meaninglessblah-writes will continue to offer guidance and advice regarding the server. @whispering-imp will continue to help with the blog. There’s also a support network of mods consisting of everyone that organises the various DC Comics Rare Pair Challenges/Servers in the form of a Discord Server.

To apply as a mod, you must be over 18, enjoy rare pairs involving Dick Grayson, and be ship friendly. That in no way means you have to love every Dick rare pair but liking a wider variety of pairings will certainly help you have a better mod experience!

The following applications are open:

DICK RARE PAIR SERVER MOD (2 Spots)

A DRP Server Mod makes sure the Discord Server runs smoothly. Therefore, you need a Discord account you’re reachable on regularly.

A Server Mod’s main tasks are to make sure the server rules are being upheld. Doing that isn’t always easy – you’ll have to be aware of your own biases and that users might take offence with your decisions. But that is why the mods work as a team! 

Other tasks include Bot wrangling and taking on fill requests* when they aren’t accepted by the normal user base.

(*Members of the server can request fanworks if they have gathered 100 Coins for certain activities.)

DICK RARE PAIR CHALLENGE BLOG MOD (1 Spot)

The DRPC Blog Mod keeps the Tumblr Blog up to date. Therefore, you need a Tumblr account you use regularly. A Discord account is also required. Tumblr only supports group chats on the app and the DRP server has a challenge category in which questions about the event might come up.

A Blog Mod’s main tasks include reblogging new fanworks, adding users/fanworks to the Hall of Fame and answering asks. Furthermore, once a year participants can request a prize that the mods make. (Learn about prizes here.) 

If there are new announcements, new graphics must be made, and in rare cases, the Tumblr theme must be modified.

DRP & DRPC DUAL MOD (1 Spot)

A Dual Mod is the link between event and server. They keep an overview and bring server and blog closer together while trying to implement new ideas proposed by the mod crews or the participants/user base. They jump between Mod duties when required – for example when another mod temporarily lacks time to fulfil their mod duties.

For this position previous experience in modding is preferred.

You may choose to apply for all positions, but you will only be chosen for one spot. 

Applications will be open for two weeks, until 30th September.
