I don't understand all of the N hate. Like it's not their fault that Fr took drugs and overdosed, they did not force Fr to take drugs. They did literally nothing wrong. I understand people liking Fr and wanting their MCs to be with Fr, but mindlessly hating on N just makes no sense.

idk if I’m just blinded by enjoying the friends to lovers trope, but why is there a (joking? idk) animosity towards N? im not sure how widespread it is but I feel like I’ve seen a handful of instances, like comments under asks regarding N, and that meta ask you got about how the ROs would react to how the readers think of them. like did my reading comprehension tank horribly was there a betrayal of some sort?? either way I would like to communicate some N appreciation.

There's overall two reasons why people "hate" N.

Might be a bit spoilery, but it's been things that have been talked about here on Tumblr.

1. some people just want the chaos and, therefore, also to play and hurt as many characters / ROs as possible. And what better thing to do than betray your bestie by cheating with their partner.

2. few people think that (SPOILER!), because in the past there was a moment in which Fr almost died due to overdosing, N is a monster. Why? They were at a party, got into a fight, Fr ran away, N didn't go after them (because Fr was... let's say exhausting). MC went after them tho and "saved their life" by doing so.

I can totally see this as a flashback in the official game and also was considering it before.
