✨ #MINIREVIEW ✨ —— @maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick in Seductress —— I still can’t get over how weird the formula is. I have two of these babies: one in Pioneer and this one in Seductress. Upon first application, you have to make sure to place the colour on nicely; all the while being careful with how much you place. Because even though the lipstick itself will stay looking nice, opaque, the feeling of it still being super tacky is what makes it weirder. It’s definitely not lightweight. It doesn’t feel too heavy either. Just... incredibly sticky. However, it will be even more so if you put too much, so that’s why you’ve still got to watch out. Now, in terms of longevity, I assumed that because of the said tacky feeling, it will stay on for forever and a day. In a sense, it does, if you’re looking for a liquid lipstick whose colour will stay put throughout the day. BUT— it won’t be the same regarding the inner part of the lips. Although I do like wearing a nice liquid lippie on occasion, I don’t always go for it nowadays because it usually fades in the inner parts of my lips. Don’t get me wrong. I can handle liquid lipstick formulas, especially if I love the colour well enough to a point where I really don’t mind reapplying several times throughout the day. I just thought I’d be able to escape that with this formula, because I assumed that its tackier consistency would adhere better to my kind of lips, but alas... not even. Other than that, I think these babies are worth a try. However, I don’t fully recommend it to newbies unless they’re comfortable with a (super) sticky feeling throughout the day. Instead, I’d rather recommend these to people who are willing to look out for more variety in terms of their lipstick shades. After all, in terms of price point at P299, it’s not too bad. The colour alone stays well on the lips, because of the said tacky feeling, so if you don’t mind that, then, go for it. With all that said, though, I don’t think this will still be my go-to for a good everyday nude. In a sense, you can say that it’s really more of a /mood/. Anyway, my search for a good liquid lipstick goes on.

#SKINCAREHAUL - 05.27.18 Today, I was looking for a makeup remover and ended up looking at @thefaceshopph. I ended up getting their ‘Herb Day 365 Cleansing Cream’ in the Fruit Mix variant— mostly because it smelled nice, but I was also pretty willing to try it out. I remembered using it back when I was swatching makeup and removing it with small amounts of products from these tubs, and it worked pretty okay, I think. So I might as well give these a shot. My trek to buying a makeup remover was supposed to end with JUST THAT AND N O T H I N G E L S E, but... I ended up reaching out for other products. I couldn’t resist! Especially when The Face Shop was holding another 1 + 1 on their Jeju Aloe Soothing Gel products! Sigh. I’ve only tried the original Jeju Aloe tub before and the Damyang Bamboo Gel, and I’ve got nothing but positive things to say about those products. They helped out with some redness here and there plus a few infuriating pimples, so that’s something. (Of course, that may be attributed to how I was taking care of my skin back then as well as the timing—like me being within weeks of period or whatever, so I’m not going to claim that TFS’ Jeju Aloe Vera is perfect. Perhaps just... 99%? [I’ll applaud you if you get the joke.]) I ended up getting the Jeju Aloe Ice variant (P250) and a tube of Jeju Aloe Fresh Soothing Gel (P195). Four products for P445? I think that’s a pretty good steal, especially if you’re going to consider the amount of product you’re going to be getting. With all that said, I’m crossing my fingers. I definitely can’t wait to dive into these products soon!
