Animasia 2014 : review

Hello :)

I know we are one week late ( post Con sickness and College, the usual… ^^) , but here is our review about Animasia 2014, a small French Convention that took place in Bordeaux on Saturday October the 4th and Sunday October the 5th. They were celebrating their 10th birthday, and for the occasion, had rented a bigger place, with two floors and had invited a lot of guests ( like some of the Noobs, Reflets d’Acide, Le Joueur du Grenier, Benzaie! I’ll leave a link to their site, if you want to have a look.

The Con was super-Great, we had the chance to talk with guests we like very much, give them some cannelés ( a yummy speciality of Bordeaux) and even have a breakfast with the writers/voice actors of Reflet d’Acide, which was Awesome!

A friend was coming with us to this Con (he had crossed half of France for that), and on the Saturday evening, we were part of the Cosplay Show, as a trio Crossover Portal/Hitman (We’ll speak about the show in itself in another post).

We also think that this edition was one of their best, if not the best, maybe because they had more space and it overall seemed less crowded (last year, it had been quite impossible to walk once inside). There was great food (Japanese sweets, what else is there to say?) lots of amazing fanzine booths, an amazing Maid Café… The staff, though not well informed, was really cool, and we helped them clean everything on Sunday evening!

Okeana cosplayed a Maid! Chell (Portal) on Saturday, while I was a Maid! Companion Cube (Portal). On Sunday, Okeana wore a traditional Vietnamese dress and I cosplayed a human version of Maud Pie from MLP.

Sadly, my camera died Saturday morning, so we didn’t take pictures. I’ll leave a link to videos that will give you an idea of the Con ^^ :

Hello There, Meet Us :D

Hello everybody! We are publishing this first post to introduce ourselves. We are two 20  years old French cosplayers, who often do coops and try to combine College with Cosplay and social & Geek life. Which is hard.

So, on with the presentations!

On the left side of the pic is Okeana, the smallest of us, a brunette with brown eyes and too much energy who prefers crafting and lazy mornings to sewing. She is here wearing a Maid version of Chell from Portal.

On the right is Sweety_Mutant, 5'9, also a brunette with brown eyes and often lenses. She seems phlegmatic at first, but is quite hot-blooded. She is equally comfortable with sewing and crafting. She is here wearing a Maid version of the Companion Cube from Portal.

PS: those cosplays were inspired by Darling Army ( https://darling-army.goodsie.com/ ) dresses. We changed a few details and made the dresses ourselves.
