If silence is the canvas for music, then my music is a tribute to it. It’s about the existential space, time and energy ‘in between’ the notes and sounds - which makes music possible. Otherwise, everything would be just noise. And that is also what the music invokes inside myself. It creates a peaceful oasis in between all my inner feelings and thoughts, so I can breathe (again). I’m very grateful many of my listeners have a similar experience. Shoutout to @joepbeving his inspiring music, his truly giantlike presence (at the piano and compared to me, see picture :-) & his big heart! I was lucky to attend yesterday's concert in the heart of @Bruges organized by @cactusmuziekcentrum and to meet him afterward. I felt moved by the lovely location, the atmosphere, and his openness/heartwarming presence. I loved the total performance; especially 'Sleeping Lotus' from his album 'Solipsism,' 'Hanging D' from his album 'Prehension' and new work from his latest release 'Henosis.' His music is not only available on all streaming platforms, but also as gorgeous pieces of art on vinyl & CD. Just saying, sometimes you think 'you know' music, but this was and is a reminder to dive in deep into his work to discover new layers. And thanks to my friend Arvid for the excellent company! I'm very grateful to find my music included in the Spotify Playlist 'Música Clásica' created by lawyer, philosopher, and musician Germán García Lillo from Benidorm in Spain. He is also a member of the band @rumbadura : check it out, it's worth it! To my knowledge, it's one of the most loved user-curated Classical Playlists on Spotify with over 150,000 passionate followers. I'm honoured to be included with 'Crowned Variation 44', a short piano/cello instrumental which I produced in 2017 with cellist Wouter Vercruysse for the Belgian Documentary 'Tot in den draai' by Filip Loobuyck At the same time, I'm very thrilled to announce the release of 'Crowned 2019' on September 13th for all streaming platforms: a brand new studio version of the same theme/melody.
