I have not slept

I am touched. So many people have written about omega males before me and while I often don't entirely agree with their characterization I feel like often the stories still reflect the way I feel inside.

I yearn to nurture and grow my business just the same way these men grow life in their bodies. I too yearn for acceptance in an alpha male dominated society.

I must read more.

On Being An Omega Male

Dana finally looked at my blog and made a comment about me calling myself an Omega Male.

"Do you know what that means?" She asked me. "Do you?" I replied. "I do, but I don't think you do." She said. "I know it because I live it, check out my blog again later and I'll explain it to you." I said. She rolled her eyes at me, but I felt like she was going to do it all the same.

The truth is, being an Omega Male is all about being the last kind of man you'll ever need to be. That's why I picked omega, the last letter. I had originally been calling myself a Zeta male but somebody pointed out that Zeta wasn't the last letter of the alphabet and people kept mishearing me and thinking I was saying Beta Male. But I digress.

Being an Omega Male for me is about being a builder and a homemaker. Everything I do is in service of making my business better and by extension me.

How do I do this? Well that might be a question for another time. But if you are interested please as always feel free to join my network. I haven't figured out how to make that work on tumbler yet but I will ask Dana again in the morning.

Your First Hundred Dollars

The first thing I tell my clients is this: Business is all about consistency. Right away I tell them, start as you mean to go on. So how you treat the first one hundred dollars you make should set the pattern for every one hundred afterwards.

So Steven, as my clients often say, how should I spend my first one hundred dollars?

Two words I say In Vest.

Businesses need money to grow like how a plant needs water or a dog needs water or a human needs water.

Picture this: You have opened a successful business of owning a lemon tree and have sold your first crop of delicious lemons to a guy who owns a spring for a gallon of water. Would you drink all that water yourself? Would you slurp it all down, gulp after delicious gulp, savouring its natural rocky taste? Or would you give some of the water to the tree so that you might grow more lemons and get more of that lovely water?

Now tell me this, why would money be any different?

In conclusion, spend your first hundred dollars on a beautiful lemon tree to remind you of this lesson.

My name is Steven, I am an omega male (strongest kind) entrepreneur. I have made this page to expand my personal network of business interests and to share tips with other entrepreneurs and also because my only employee (so far!) Dana refuses to help me make a linked in or make her own and join my professional network and says tumbler is just as good.
