Blind Hope
They wandered trough the snow, falling for weeks now. With each step, they sunk in the snow. They began to feel tired and exhausted, as they're were walking trough this snowstorm for a long time. The wanderers could not measure for how long, as they only thing they saw was snow everywhere. In front of them, they could see something shining trough the white wall but were not able to identify it. They went to the direction of the light, filled with blind hope. It was the only thing that was different in this white hell. Nobody thought of what it may be, nobody expected it to be something bad, something horrifying.
It knew they were coming. It picked up their scent a long time ago. Nothing in this tundra goes unnoticed by him. And it was hungry. For a long time, no travellers passed by here. Only the desperate did, or the overconfident brave. But it did not care who came here. A brave knight or a poor cripple were the same things, just prey. Nothing was equal to it. It was the titan everyone feared, not only scaring little children in their dreams but hunting grown men and women the same.
The lost wanderers were desperate. They have not eaten in two days and felt weak. Little did they know that they were running into the trap of It. Neither did they know someone was behind them, catching up. As another gust hit the desperate, many of them fell down on their knees, to weak to stand up once more. They fell down and waited for death to take it part.
It for sure caught up on the silent person following them. And it recognised him. His greed for blood turned to rage quickly, as He meant that it was not allowed to feast upon them. The Titan let out a deep roar of anger and stomped with so much force into the snow, it flew in high fountains into the air and even the people filled with their blind hope felt it trough the ground in their numb bodies.
The lost ones heard and felt it, and panic started to rise. All of the sudden something started to move in them. A will to survive. Even the weakest ones felt power rising in them, almost effortlessly they got up and started walking. Nobody asked themselves what happened, there was not one clear thought in the group, just panic.
They did not know that someone was behind them, saving them from their deaths multiple times. Giving them the energy to move again and protecting them from the Titan. But he did not expect anything from them. He does not want to hear a thank you again, not one for the rest of his life. The curse of regret left a deep mark in his soul. The only thing he wants to do is helping others so his deed will be fulfilled, or until he can find a way to fill the Wastelands with life again.
Everyone loves hope, as no one realises it is a blind one until it is too late.

Change (rewritten by Lynod)
I wasn’t always like this.
I was poor but happy,
Rich in a woman’s love,
And a child’s laughter,
So many first steps on the horizon.
Then tomorrow’s sun sank,
Leaving me with ash in my mouth,
Instead of warmth on my brow.
I faded.
But I did not go out completely.
In their absence,
Grew a flame,
An obsession that consumed.
I now have just one burning desire.
Blood for blood.
Fire with fire.
I take up my sword,
And start walking.
Roaring across the land.
No mercy anymore.
No laughter.
Only the bite of a burning blade.
I have nothing left to lose but a life,
And they will lose even that.
Me against the world,
Is how I learn a terrible truth:
I don’t want the past to return,
It would never be the same,
Because I am not.
Nothing can bring back that tomorrow.
So I will extinguish it instead.

Change
You know I wasn’t always like this. I have been different in the past. But sometimes people have to change like I did. I am not saying I was unhappy with my past life, But the circumstances forced me to do it.
I once was happy, I was happy with my life. I managed to live and to not be poor. I was a normal person.
But then I lost everything. All I ever had was gone, from one moment of the other. I was left with nothing. I was alone and felt empty.
I just have one burning desire. I don’t want to have everything back. It would never be the same. Nothing can change it back to what it once was.
Blood for blood. Fire with fire. So I take my sword, And start walking.
The revenge will be mine. No mercy anymore. They will scream, Their souls will still know the pain when I am finished.
I am alone with nothing to lose. And they will lose everything too. Me against the world; But I know one thing for sure:
I will win.

I am different
Some people fear me,
Some people hate me,
Some people pity me.
Because I am different,
Because I am going crazy,
Because I am restless.
I know this all,
I know I’ve changed
I know I am not normal.
I will embrace the difference,
I will find myself,
I will keep fighting.
And I will not allow anyone to stop me.

Thoughts of a madmen
Am I going mad?
What is happening to me?
These thoughts, I can’t control them.
They control me,
Am I forsaken?
A playtoy of the gods?
They get worse and worse everyday,
The voices in my head,
They scream,
so loud.
I don’t want them,
They need to stop,
Now.

The Curse Of Regret
‘’What happened here?’’, she asked him. Her eyes were sparkling with curiosity but also with compassion. ‘’What caused this?’’
She glanced over the barren. What was once a peaceful and spiritual grove of nature was now only wasteland.
‘’Some people say there is a curse on this land’’, he answered. ‘’Once this was place of magic. People gathered here to meditate and to find their inner peace. Others came here to seek for help for aiding their wounds. Every dropplet was full of magic, this was a place of peace.’’
‘’But what caused this curse? What happened here exactly?’’, she asked immediatly.
Quietness.
‘’Legend says that once a homeless wanderer arrived here. He was driven by madness and wanted to cure it. He was so desperate. But the curse which caused the madness could not be broken by the magic of this place. The wanderer got even more mad caused by his desperation. His desperation turned into anger, and trough his endless anger he gained power, so much power he was not able to control himself anymore. The madman released all his power at once and destroyed this holy grove at a glimpse.’’
‘’This is horrible!’’, she cried out, her eyes started watering. ‘’How could anyone do this?’’
‘’Nobody knows what drove him this mad, or what caused his curse. But he had to pay for all of this. The curse changed. The man gained the blessing of endless live, so he could never die. What would make others happy, made him even more sad. And all the madness he felt before turned into regret. When he was able to destroy this wonderful place in his madness and desperation, how big is his regret now?’’ Both were quiet for a while. To break the silence he said: ‘’ You want to race home? Who is first at home wins. But because you are smaller I will give you an edge!’’
She screamed full of joy and starts running home and you could hear the child’s laugh through the gloomy silence.
He found her as a baby the ruins of a destroyed city, she thinks he is her father. But he could not break her heart by telling her the truth. He started walking home, a small shed in the woods, but after a few steps he stopped and turned around and looked at the wastelands.
The day of the destruction was several hundred years in the past. But he knows every detail of what happened here.
‘’One day’’ he whispered to himself, ‘’One day I will be able to make you to a grove once more, I promise.’’
He turned around, took a deep breath and started walking after the little girl, but the regret, as always, followed him.

The Search for Peace
I take a deep breath. It is night, every exhale creates a small cloud of warm air. In the moonlight it is stunning. I take a step forward. I can hear the snow scrunching under my feet.
I take another step. And another.
I start walking. I look into the sky, see the moon and all the stars. It is cold outside this night.
I keep walking.
The night is still young and my attention is drawn to a clearance which appeared suddenly infront of me. I am amazed. I never saw it before. Suddenly snow is falling on the ground, but no clouds are to be seen. Where does it come from? Nobody knows. Where am I? Nobody knows. But I feel peace within myself. But I feel a stir deep inside me. The thing that keeps pushing me forward, leaves me restless for all the times. So long I have searched for a place to calm down, I’ve seen many magical places. But nowhere I found peace, it keeps waking up, it never forgets my past, it hunts me, I never give up the hope to find a place I can call home.
So I keep walking,
I start running, asking myself:
Will the search ever stop?
