To Kill a Mockingbird…
Status update:
I am now halfway through this renowned peace of literature, and I truly understand why it is so. Some of the main themes I have identified are:
Racism
Classism
Segregation of otherness
Childhood
Education
Legislative ethics
These are all quite open ended terms, up to interpretation of course as I have been reading this book without annotations. However have been reading in a critical fashion!!

Current Readings
Fiction
Concrete rose - Angie Thomas
Persuasion - Jane Austen
Bahubali - the rise of Sivagami - Anand Neelakantan
Bhagavad Gita (fiction? disputable) - Oxford classics translation
The New Kingdom - Wilbur Smith
To Kill A Mockingbird - Harper Lee
Non Fiction
Nothing But The Truth - The Secret Barrister
Prisoners of Geography - Tim Marshall
Incredible how I didn't realise how divided I am until I write it down. Nothing to be proud of, yet I am sure that if I just get this list down then I can move on to new books (motivation).

Hey Tumblr...
Introducing myself
Hey, my names Sting, I am a high school student in Scotland and have a heritage of Indian ancestry. There are many things I find important in life, yet not many come before reading. Knowledge is power, yet it is also love and joy, which makes reading something at the forefront of my focuses. I am a busy girl, meaning there is not always time for the things that I enjoy, such as reading, yet if you truly love something, there shall always be time. I should also mention that I have a studyblr @stingraystudiess.
Why I made this page
As mentioned before, time is off the essence, which seems to be running away . With school work, extracurriculars and a busy life, there is always something to do. Due to this, reading, for admittedly the past few years, hasn't been a true priority, reading however is my favourite thing to do, contradictory right? Hopefully this page will be a form of encouragement to myself and others :).
I would love if anyone wants to follow along with this book club! I am hoping to post book reviews, updates and read alongs!
I'm hoping that it would work as such where I will be able to post a new book weekly, starting with a new book announcement, going on to chapter reviews, annotations if any, and when actually finished to do a book review.
thank you for reading :D
