Heya!

I'm still alive! How fun. Haven't really done much with tumblr lately, but life was generally boring so you didn't miss much.

My electives went smoothly, and my lab grades have been decent as well. Committee exams have been middling sadly. Not the best year study wise, but i rested and recouperated a little bit after my uni entrance exam. The professors who made our curriculum were nice enough to give us some space for our first year but i doubt i can pull this sht again and pass next year. (Technically i still have my finals to cap off this year but it should be alright)

I rediscovered my hatred for group projects. A couple of lessons had us do them and all of them quickly went bad. Sure when everyone contributes it's nice (one of my projects went well actually :D ) but in most of them I did the bulk of the work. Not even mad about working tbh, coz i could have done it by myself but i just don't like unfairness.

I started playing stardew valley. It's cool, 10/10 game. A lot of things to do in the game and it tickles my brain in a very fun way. I should stop playing 4 hour sessions tho hahaha.

I have been trying some poetry. It's bad. But i still like to write if something cool comes to mind. I have considered studying poetry a little to get better at writing my own but i don't have the will to do it for now. Something to consider for the future, i could make it into a hobby.

I am continuing doing amateur photography. It's amazing how much you can capture if you keep an eye out for it. I noticed that i mostly run to my destination instead of taking in my surroundings and that has started to change a little. I take longer walks if I have the time and look at the trees, flowers etc. The work my Uni's gardeners and environmental architects are doing is awesome! I have been struggling to take good photos during the day though, i generally prefer taking photos during evenings and at night. It's probably because of the skill gap as well, i can't really work with the lighting yet tbh, but it's still decent. One of my friends invited me to the photography club so maybe i'll join that next year.

I went to a couple of concerts, classical music mostly, and i must say the musicians there are awesome. The composition is great and the selection is just the best! I was a bit scared initially bcoz i didn't know half the titles of what they were going to play but i was pleasantly surprised. After a few visits I invited a couple of my friends as well but they only accepted to come with me once ): they didn't like it as much as me i guess.

Summer break is starting soon and that's quite nice. Sadly though lot of the hobbies i did in Uni don't work as well back home, so i guess i will be giving them a break. I plan to repair my bike and spend time on that instead, we'll see how that goes.

Well there isn't much to talk about other than that. I will do a photo dump in a seperate post right after this :) How has things worked out for you guys? I could use someone to talk to, being cooped up at home isn't the best because I can only socialize with 3 people :D

Well with that i'll say goodbye for now, (as i always forget to update this blog i might update tomorrow or 6 months later lol) and good luck on all your endeavors!

Dunno why but I vibe majorly with music. It's nice, makes me feel something. It's weird how cynical I am day to day. Also makes me confront some feelings that I unknowingly supressed.

Also another major vibe : Sad lyrics + fun music + (optional) madness. I think they contrast really well, and I really identify with it. If I am sad, well the lyrics handle it. If I am processing something in the background, madness/chaos helps me cope. And if I'm happy I just vibe with the music.

It's interesting because this trio doesn't just appear in modern music, if you listen to jazz or some kinds of folk music you'll also see that people in the past also coped with life using music.

Maybe it just makes life more artistic, or lets us see the artistry in our life as living a story may not be as enjoyable as living it sometimes.

Hey there! Small journal update...

Hi, I hope you guys have been doing well. Things have been a bit busy and i stopped writing here a good bit ago. I finally have some breathing room, and wanted to write about what happened lately!

As you might recall, i started med school recently! (Not the clinic part yet so i think americans would call it pre-med) It has been fun so far, but a bit busy to be completely honest. We started getting into the thick of things after my last post! I thought I could join all of the various club activities in my uni but I couldn't because of the workload ): most of the clubs were apparently in my uni's second campus away from the city, so i couldn't have joined even if I wanted to...

Going to uni, and staying in a dorm for the first time was a bit challenging, especially because i am also living in a different city for the first time in my life. At least it's novel, and i did get to make a lot of new friends.

I slowly got used to it. I get to live my childhood dream, so it is easier :D. I cleaned up my dorm room a little and brought a couple of accessories to make life easier. I also started to study again and I actually did well on my first comitee exam (A2) as well so it was nice overall. I decided to go and visit my grandparents after that.

It was nice to visit my grandparents. I wish they came with us ): but I guess it is what it is.

I also visited some other relatives. A notable visit was to one of my uncles' house, as I got to see my little cousins. We played a little, I guess they missed me as well. They are very nice and friendly now, I guess starting school was fun for them :). I also asked some of my old friends to hang out, but they said they were busy with exams that week so I couldn't catch up with them 💔

And then I went back to uni. I thought I should socialize more, maybe do some activities with my friends, and it went great! We went to a gun range, (only bb guns coz I hadn't touched a gun before that hehe) ate some fish, bought some books and went back to our dorm.

I also went to a couple of concerts, and I think it was pretty fun. I couldn't convince anyone else to come with me, different music tastes I guess, but I did see a couple of familiar faces from school and that was pretty cool! I also eventually convinced some of my friends to come with me later so that was nice. (Maybe after winter break?)

One of my friends also talked me into a paintball match, a lot of people from my friend group agreed as well so I am also looking forward to going there. (Again I don't know the second thing about shooting but I think it could be fun :D )

Sadly spending time for those may have affected my second comitee exam a bit negatively 😢. Everyone got worse than what they expected because the exam was so hard (literally no one got above a 90) but I did way worse and got a C2... it's still a passing grade but I am a bit scared about future exams tbh. I've even started studying ahead of time to help with that. Hope it works out.

That's all for now. Things have been going pretty well for me overall even though my last exam was a bit shit. I hope things have worked out for you guys as well!

Eugh my spine's hunting so badly!

Had a 3 hour exam today and we had to do it on those chairs with a side table thingy. Those chairs are bad enough but for some reason they also made them so short and out of wood? Like the ones I had in middle school. (I'm ~170 cm so I'm sure it wasn't because I'm too tall lol) messed up my back because of that

Just gonna lie down a little. Might take a nap, it should be a little better after that.

I haven't been playing chess for the last year so I expected to forget a bit of what I knew. But oh my god how does one forget everything!

I joined the chess club of my university, entered an online tournament, and proceeded to lose every match! 🫠 Needless to say, I quit soon after. I thought 1500 was average for lichess but apparently half of the chess club is over 2000...

Maybe I will join the hiking club instead (?) I mean I at least you can't forget how to walk -.- and I can walk 3 kilometers or so. Could be interesting.
