I think angel tears are like a less potent form of holy water, what if the first time Aziraphale breaks down about god's plans Crowley wipes his tears and holds his face, and through gritted teeth he tells him how good he is, how he couldn't possibly ever be bad. His tears are leaving a lightning strike burn path along his wrist, but the agony is worth every second of closeness they share, even if he can't stop his hands from trembling days after.

Really love Ineffable Divorce from the perspective of the other shopkeepers... to them, one day, some gorgeous guy showed up naked on Mr. Fell's doorstep and a couple of days later, Mr. Fell had disappeared and so had the naked guy... so the whole neighborhood thinks Aziraphale ran off with Gabriel and that's why the bookshop is now being operated by this odd little person hired by its sad and distracted owner-- Mr. Fell's abandoned ginger goth husband with the gorgeous old car. Nothing has been this juicy on the street in decades...

thinking about how Crowley introduced Aziraphale to food and now eating is his comfort

i keep thinking about the idea of God's ineffable plan, and about how some plans that Heaven and Hell get to know about must fail entirely in accordance with the ineffable plan.

thinking about how people speculate Aziraphale was going to confess before the Metatron showed up, and how that was very likely by design. thinking about how likely the best outcome involves Crowley and Aziraphale having this break, because Aziraphale is still too naïve when it comes to Heaven and Hell's inner workings and even when it comes to Crowley himself. for the best possible outcome, Aziraphale needs to learn some things the hard way, or learn them at all.
