ive been working on whisps kingdom au withersun stuff (background, timeline logistics, thinking about it, sending withersun scraps to fanblog gc, etc etc) and twas inspired by an old sketch of mine. so

yk it was kinda cool to see the initial polycules form. like everything was tense because the votes were so close, everyone was panic-reblogging, and then the people who were winning went "wait! what if we tried tying though?" and then it was like this. beautiful moment of people who had just been at each other's necks for the past day suddenly coming together and fighting to stay together. i like, made new friends. and then without even communicating first, everyone already /knew/ that we wanted to combine the polycules. everyone can work together. everyone can win. we began to explore each other's couples, draw them together, learn about the other fandoms, engage a bit. i still haven't watched any banana and bread content but honestly? i think they deserved to win this competition on their own. holy fuck what are they doing

when we got to that 50/50 point for this one though? there were several "can we try keeping the tie?" posts before 50 billion "PUMPKINDUO SWEEP" posts and a 1000 vote difference made in less than 10 hours (which. is like 2 accounts being made every minute how many people are doing this and how are you all not ip banned oh my god) and thats... thats also really crazily impressive its just like. oh. alright then nevermind

Honestly, Pumpkinduo was NOT settling for polycule win and hey kudos to them!! It makes my job a LOT easier at the end of it all. They'll get announced most Toxic Yaoi and sit next to Shinyduo!

Witherstranglebananaclick or whatever was super fun and I'll be having fun doing ties more next time!!

I'm really happy that quite a few people were having a lot of fun and hearing that you actually made friends is really kind of cool! I REALLY enjoyed learning about Banana and Bread and seeing Wassup_Im_E and a few of the other Artimators and adjacent content creators interact. I'll probably try to be a bit more engaging next time.

i could not agree more. their polycule was short-lived but it was iconic. we will go down in toxic mcyt yaoiyuri history probably. or not. either way, they lived a glorious life and died a valiant death and that should be celebrated o7
