Halloween, Ya'll?
Kinda looks like one of those Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children photos. But, if it creeps, it fits.

The Becoming
It's when I put on my best face that I end up lying to the world.
Anthony T. Hincks.
We all have two faces -
One face we generally show to the world and the other that we hide behind the first one.
We are all gemini - there's a facade that we present that's for the world, carefully carved and woven to be acceptable for the society and then there's an inner us, tightly bound only revealed in the utmost happiness, in the stolen moments of safety and solitary.
But true liberation is when these two facades merge that is, the becoming of one.

Let us dance in the sun, wearing wild flowers in our hair...
susan polis schutz
Flowers and beauty have an old kinship. A little bud in your wavy hair, a garland in your plates and roses in your bun - rediating happiness and serenity.
For me flowers are a force of nature, carrying in them the most equisite beauty - the beauty of creation and a purity of love and joy.

In Hindu religion, widows are expected to forgo all adornment, shringar, beauty and forever live life in drabs of white and grey. For except for her husband there is no need for such things in her life, as if all her beauty, all the colors in her life belong to that one man and is she has no identity deft of her husband.
The face in the picture, a 76 year old widow, tells me "I like everything to be as beautiful as it can be, I am a worshiper of beauty no matter than what anyone says". She too as a young widow was expected to live a bland life and faced snide comments on her pink sarees and painted nails.
But, let that go to ashes, everyone should have the right to fill their lives with colors, to embrace their love for themselves and if they want to indulge in vanity, they should do so GUILT FREE.
