How Android version update teaches a life lesson
My Moto G 2 was originally KitKat (Android 4.4) which was updated to Lollipop (Android 5.0) last year in January, 2015 and which was further updated to Marshmallow (Android 6.0) two months back in February, 2016. This second update did not excite me as much as the 1st one.
Few days back I just went online to check which are some good smart phones available to buy. In the price range I was looking for, (₹5,000–₹15,000) almost all the smart phones were still shipping with Lollipop (Android 5.0) and only some with an expected (which means not guaranteed) upgrade to Marshmallow (Android 6.0).
Then I realized how much I value the fact that my 18 months old Moto G 2 is still ahead of the new smart phones in a similar price range and how I had taken this fact for granted.
This happens with many other things or people in our life. We take them for granted until we see what others are dealing with or until they are gone from our lives.
So take some time and be grateful for what you have in your life right now. Then continue working towards whatever goal you were working on.

Google Search vs. Me
As I use more Google search and internet I feel that my searches are getting more complex and Google is unable to satisfy my need for information.

Effect of the movie Pirates of the Caribbean on Piracy off the coast of Somalia
I just re-watched the Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl which made me wonder whether the way they have glorified pirates and piracy in the movie had any effect on the piracy activities off the coast of Somalia. Then I remembered a Google tool and decided to use it.
Here are the results.

Where is content from India?
I spend majority of my time on the internet: reading, listening, watching (for improvement and entertainment purposes) and now even for working. What I have observed (and many of you will agree) is that most of the content comes from USA whether it be some self development article, a life hack website, a book on goodreads, a video/channel on YouTube, a podcast , a news article, a technology article, a funny gif or almost anything you can think of. While I agree that it is good quality content that I get to consume and something is better than nothing, I also wonder where is the high quality content from India? Where are the content creators of India? With so much population, with relatively high proportion of English literate population and unemployment, why don’t people from India create more content?
My experience of trying to create content (a website, a blog and a YouTube channel) was that I had no content to share, no expertise to show, and in case of the YouTube channel, inadequate resources to make it happen (I still haven’t abandoned it). I am, however, successful in creating 2 communities on Google+ related to Indian content with 1000+ and 4000+ members (still growing).
I would like to know what you think about it and what your experience was regarding lack of content originating from India.
