i do not at all mean this in a perjorative manner, but i do think it’s important to be able to consume a piece of media and go, “i’m not the audience for this” and be able to just walk away 

there doesn’t have to be something wrong or “problematic” about something for a person to not like it. personal taste is personal taste. but something not doing it for you doesn’t mean it automatically has to be wrong or bad. it’s just not for you.

I made a mistake

On a more cheerful note, I have been listening to a lot of Beyonce

- increased breathing meds for sports, adderall dose for adhd

- increased seasonals(+?)

- went back to old adderall dose bc too many variables (and many feelings about discovering my breathing is bad always, actually, these days, not just when my lips go blue during exercise)

- discovered the (new/old) breathing med sometimes has weird brain side effects

- called out while minding my business reading fanfiction

(Still unclear if regular seasonals, somehow connected to the adderall, special breathing drug brain adventures, or just finally enough oxygen to resume full speed brain problems)

Workplace dysfunction and like,

I don't see it

I only half feel it

I stare them in the eyes and smile and ask if they really mean whatever they just said

I don't flinch and I ask them if they want to try again

I barely notice and stay polite and dig my heels in

so they go pick someone else who didn't eat this shit for breakfast for 18 years and knows it's wrong and gets hurt or at least reacts in a satisfying way

and I fucking hate it

Every week I find out something I thought was common knowledge is actually a feature of a psych degree/years trying to figure out what was going on in my brain/experiences in specific badbrains community contexts that might be limited to obsolete internet ecosystems or might just be more localized than I thought

look at me. listen to me. this is directed at americans for the record. the reason you think North American animals are boring is because you live here. there are so many cool and beautiful animals here. we have beavers. we have wolves. we have moose. we have sea lions. we have armadillos. we have mountain lions. we have alligators. we have foxes. we have bighorn sheep. we have manatees. we have bears. we have ocelots. we have BISON. and that’s not even touching on the birds! or the turtles! or the snakes! we have amazing beautiful and diverse wildlife right here and it deserves to be appreciated and protected
