Text
Day by day Year by year What the hell are we learning here? Countless hours with my head in a book God forbid someone sees how I look From bed to shower From shower to car From car to school From school to car From car to home then back to bed From bed to shower Life is on repeat from hour to hour For what? A better pay check? For a peace of paper that says congrats! You spent four years and thousands of dollars to move up a social class. No What we learn What remember from our years in school Is every moment away from the books or countless pages of homework and essays. School teaches order and punctuality. What we do outside of the classroom When the books are closed Is when we learn spontaneity, responsibility, Recklessness, Adventure, Freedom, Honesty, Friendship, Love, Sobriety, Fuck sobriety, Because in the end, when we leave this campus, when we enter the real world Whatever that may be We won't look to what we learned in books for guidance. No algorithm or chemical equation can tell you how to handle life. How to live life. How to love life. Everything we do Everything thing we are Is decided by what we learn outside of class during our freedom from school. School is education Life is knowledge And knowledge will travel farther always Live life Love life Don't fear what is not known. If you don't know, how can you fear?
