Cathryn "Kitty" Kiewitt Mollman
07/31/1936 - 02/06/2022
Kitty Mollman passed peacefully on to her next great adventure on February 6, 2022, at age 85. She passed at home in Ladue, MO in the company of her children and her beloved Australian Shepherd, Carson.
Kitty was preceded in death by her parents Gustel Reinhold Kiewitt, Edith Knoll Kiewitt, and her husband of 51 years Albert Clay Mollman. She is survived by her son John August Mollman, his wife Kimberly Andrews, and grandchildren Soren and Hadley Mollman of Seattle, WA; and by her daughter Melanie Mollman Hancock of St. Louis, MO.
Kitty was a 1954 graduate of Ladue Horton Watkins High School. She graduated from Wellesley College in 1957 with a degree in Art History and earned her Masters of Education from Harvard University.
Kitty was passionate about her family; her home, which was designed and built by her father; her garden; and her animals. An accomplished equestrian, she competed in shows around the Midwest and passed her passion for horses along to her daughter. She served as a docent for the St. Louis Zoo and served for many years as the co-chair on the Zoo's travel program. Kitty was a world traveler with more than 40 countries on her passport. She was an active member of the Wellesley Class of '57 Alumni Association. She was also a talented potter and an award-winning fused glass artist and instructor.
