IDOL HISTORY

+10 TRAINEE SKILL | -7 PERFORMANCE SKILL take out your books, and lock in! it’s important to know the history of your industry. as axis labels begins to debut new groups with younger trainees that have little to no knowledge of the older generation idols, they have decided to open up a workshop solely dedicated to the history of idols! be sure to take notes though, as you’ll have a test by the end of the quarter!

BECOMING AN MC

+10 SPECIAL SKILL (HOSTING) | -7 PERFORMANCE SKILL hosting isn’t easy, but as an mc in a show you need to be able to quickly adapt to any situation and make sure not to be a bore to the audience watching at home and the artist that you are talking to! in this workshop, a bunch of experienced hosts are going to teach you exactly that! who knows, maybe in the future you’d be able to host an entire award show all on your own! this workshop is going to make your performance skills take a hit though, so think carefully!

LET ME TAKE A SELFIE

+10 MODELING | -7 ANCILLARY SKILL it’s spring time, and axis labels is eager to help their artists bless social media with beautiful golden hour selfies. for this quarter’s company workshop, sr media has put up a fake cherry blossom setting for trainees and senior artists alike to practice with. 

STANDING OUT ON STAGE

+15 PRESENCE | -10 CHOREOGRAPHY while you may have the technical skills to perform, the eyes of the audience will naturally gravitate towards those that have a stronger presence on stage. as an idol, technical skills are not enough to put on a great performance. learn how to stand out amongst the crowd through lime entertainment’s very own workshop!

LEARN A LANGUAGE

+10 FOREIGN LANGUAGE | -7 SINGING OR RAPPING with the korean entertainment industry growing bigger, there is a necessity to further expand communication skills. because of this, axis is bringing back the foreign language workshops this quarter! trainees can sign up for one of the following month-long intensive classes, that will cover the basics of grammar and sentence structures: english, mandarin or japanese. if there is a particular language you are really keen on learning and it’s not listed here, feel free to make your case with a coach and your request might just be granted! naturally, sitting in a room repeating after a teacher for hours might even make you forget a little about what it’s like to perform in our own language.

STAYING SOCIAL

+10 PROFESSIONAL NETWORKING | -7 PERFORMANCE SKILLS in this day and age, your digital footprint will have an effect on your career—even more so for an idol! that’s why it’s important to keep your image in mind whenever you make any sort of social media posts, whether it be on twitter, instagram, and eventually weverse! in this workshop you’ll learn the proper language and mannerisms to take on before you hit post. this is an essential skill to have, especially post-debut, but your performance might fall behind if you’re starting to overthink your words in your head!

GIVE ME THE BEAT

+15 DANCING | -7 ANCILLARY SKILLS idols are expected to constantly put up a good performance on stage! and an important part of doing so is through … dancing! nowadays, even if you’re a beat too late, fans and anti-fans will not hesitate to jump on you online. if you’re looking to work on your dancing, this is the workshop for you!

CONCEPTUALIZING MUSIC

+10 CREATIVE DIRECTION | -7 PRESENCE studio delta groups are known for their daring experimentation in music! and so, it’s essential that the trainees in the company understand how they constantly break barriers with their sound. studio delta will be holding an exclusive workshop for their trainees to learn the thought process and creative collaboration needed to come up with their chart topping hits. this is an opportunity you surely can’t miss! 

LOOKING GOOD

+15 AESTHETIC | -10 PERFORMANCE SKILLS it can be debated that visuals play an important role in being an idol – and studio delta knows this very well, despite their outward focus. as such, delta has called in some of it’s most skilled stylists and makeup artists for a workshop on how to always look ready in front of fans!

SING YOUR HEART OUT

+15 SINGING | -10 AESTHETIC all the singing coaches under the three companies have come together to teach everyone what it really means to sing on stage. stabilization is important when you’re dancing at the same time after all, but all the big shot coaches who once taught your favourite senior artists have a lot more to teach than that! scales, vocal range, pitch accuracy, finding your breath and even mastering your vibrato. you might come out of this workshop with your own unique singing style, just don’t worry too much about the weird faces you make on stage when you open your mouth a little too wide. it’s all par for the course!

TAKE THE STAGE

+15 PRESENCE | -10 SINGING OR -10 RAPPING do you worry about having all the technical skills needed to be an idol, only for it to go unnoticed because you lack an identity on stage? this is the workshop for you! in this workshop coaches will hone in on your presence on stage, make sure that your potential audience will have their eyes and ears on you. even if it means that you sound a little off-key, surely it’ll all be fine as long as you distract them with your overwhelming stage presence!

ACTING YOUR PART

+10 ACTING | -7 PERFORMANCE SKILLS missing the acting camp that was held a few months back? don’t worry, the axis labels are bringing it back in a more intensive workshop dedicated to acting itself! facial expressions, tone identification, proper script-reading and memorization will be a primary focus as you get the ins-and-outs of acting from industry professionals. the struggle as an actordol is still as present as ever though, because now you have no time on your performance skills! but hey, you’re doing a great job getting the audience to cry at your faux tears!

CHOREOGRAPHY FOR ALL

+15 CHOREOGRAPHY | -10 PRESENCE interested in not just completing a dance routine designed by your coaches, but wanting to think up your own? want to express your creative thinking through meaningful movement and gestures? this workshop will allow trainees to learn diverse methods of dance-making! well-known choreographers that have worked together with the three companies will be joining in to take charge in this workshop, giving you ample opportunity to expand your ideas in choreography no matter what style you have in mind! a lot of that might take away your stage presence though.

GET A GUITAR

+10 INSTRUMENTS (ANY) | -7 DANCING want to pick out a new instrument? distracted by the demanding need to sing and dance that you forgot what it’s like to play the instrument you’re familiar with? in this workshop, studio delta have gathered a bunch of renown musicians as well as the coaches you already know that are capable of teaching trainees how to play any instrument they desire! even if you just want to learn how to play the triangle, surely there’s an instructor for that too. that being said, holding an instrument at all times is definitely going to keep you from dancing.

MAKE A GOOD IMPRESSION

+10 PROFESSIONAL NETWORKING | -7 SINGING OR -7 RAPPING what better way to kick off the quarterly workshops than with a workshop on workshops? pr professionals from all companies will be hosting special talks with trainees to showcase their own trajectories in the industry and teach them how they can grow and foster their professional connections so they’re remembered next time an event organizer needs someone to sit on a stage and give their opinion on something. and of course, there will be a q&a after each talk! since you’ll be spending a lot of time listening to other people talk you might lose a bit of practice with your own vocal skills, but hey, no one can get very far without others to back them up.

RAP INTENSIVE

+15 RAPPING | -10 ANY ANCILLARY SKILL the rap coaches you all know so well from all three companies under the axis labels have gotten together to provide a unique opportunity for trainees this quarter! sign up to the rapping workshop to be immersed in the history of big shot influences over the styles currently present in the charts, and of course, to improve your wpm! just keep in mind that this isn’t a class on how to look good while rapping - in fact, you’ll probably be making some very silly faces - and you won’t be writing your own bars for this class either.

LANGUAGE 101

+10 FOREIGN LANGUAGE | -7 ANY PERFORMANCE SKILL as the eyes of the world fall on the korean entertainment industry, the need to communicate in a different language becomes more prevalent each day. in order to jumpstart your journey in learning a new language, axis is inviting you to join the foreign language workshops this quarter! trainees can sign up for one of the following month-long intensive classes, that will cover the basics of grammar and sentence structures: english, mandarin or japanese. if there is a particular language you are really keen on learning and it’s not listed here, feel free to make your case with a coach and your request might just be granted! naturally, sitting in a room repeating after a teacher for hours might even make you forget a little about what it’s like to perform in our own language. [ muns may submit an in-character piece to their company blog about their muses asking to be taught a different language. if granted, it is understood that axis will provide a special instructor for that language to go along the other workshops as well. ]

SINGING ON STAGE

+10 LIVE PERFORMANCE | -7 AESTHETIC hey kid, do you dream of making it in this industry? do you want to perform at coachella one day? well, you better ensure you can deliver a solid performance live, or the public backlash of your lacking skills will haunt your career for years. what’s the point in writing your own songs and choreographing your own dances if you can’t deliver stable vocals on stage, anyway? and don’t worry about how you’ll look in future fancams - you got a long way to go before you should be concerned with that.

an undisclosed role for NEXT GEN is open to all STUDIO DELTA trainees who have completed their probationary period. this role is open to multiple applicants.

— STUDIO DELTA PRIVATE AUDITIONS !

on the morning of january 24th, all of studio delta’s pages on social medias were taken over by a simple question: ARE YOU NEXT? 

the company has announced its first round of solo auditions open to the general public, unattached from its sister companies within the axis labels. those looking to join the deltaverse need only to fill out a simple form on their website and submit a 90-second clip of them showcasing their creative skills in music through original songs, remixes, choreographies or anything else they can come up with - which is to be expected from a studio delta audition. only one detail is new: as studio delta is looking to start building its next girl group, this time, they’ll only be recruiting female trainees!

as usual, each audition will be evaluated by a select group of studio delta coaches, and a handful of lucky girls will be invited for a second round of private auditions in person. 

the deadline to submit your audition tapes is february 7th. good luck to everyone participating!

just like the previous audition process, after the initial deadline some of the participants will receive submissions to participate in a second round of auditions, and should they pass this second round, they will be invited to join studio delta’s trainee program. for transparency sake, this will begin on february 8 and last until february 21, so make sure to take other wannabe events into consideration before having your muse apply.

— TRAVEL INTO THE DELTAVERSE TODAY !

studio delta has announced on the 27th of august on all of their social media accounts that a new page has been published to its official website: 'into the deltaverse’, a round of public auditions to join the company’s roster! 

auditions will be running through september, and they are open to the general public. the audition process consists of two stages: first, those interested in participating must fill out the personal information form on the website and submit alongside it a 90 second solo video consisting of an introduction and a showcase of two or more skills. as noted in a footnote, those skills can be anything from your usual singing and dancing to using your own lyrics or choreography, reciting poetry while hopping on one foot, a brief rap verse followed by a reenactment of king the land’s last scene, and more! the most important thing is to show versatility - after all, studio delta is known for its “producer-dols” and notoriously encourages thinking outside the box!

the videos will be evaluated by top rated coaches in the industry, and an unspecified select few will be invited for the second stage: a private in loco audition with the company. from there, wannabes might be offered a contract with studio delta.
