Stop trying. Take long walks. Look at scenery. Doze off at noon. Don’t even think about flying. And then, pretty soon, you’ll be flying again. We each need to find our own inspiration.

Love is a word we scarcely hear in the ocean. It exists only in my song and on the lips of the princes I’ve killed. And I have never heard it from my mother’s mouth.

I find these carrels with views over Bloomsbury completely irresistible. I had a really productive morning here looking through philosophy periodicals (and daydreaming about living in those terraces)

nov. 9, 2018. i’m really enjoying my november bullet journal spreads so far — the blues are because i’m feeling this strange sense of calm melancholy, where i know things will turn out okay but the rain and missing home still make me sad, in an almost cosy way. it’s not dull-grey-depressed, though, but a soft twilight blue.

Miena:  Gentle, breezy, beautiful moving environments
Miena creates evocative and moody landscapes similar to that of Yutuu Toyoi (of 1040uu fame).  She delicately balances the drawing and the motion together in exactly the right proportion so that you feel that you are in that particular place;  reading a book, having some tea, and feeling the gentle breeze in your hair.

crêpes recipe !
ingredients :
1 ½ cup of flour
1 ½ to 2 cups of your preferred milk (depending on the texture of the final batter)
2 tbsp. of sugar (you can add more, but i put sugar on the cooked crepes so i tend to not add too much)
1 tbsp. of oil (your choice, i use olive)
1 tsp. of baking powder
a pinch of salt
a drop of vanilla or almond extract (optional)
if you’re feeling fancy, you can add a little bit of cocoa powder for some chocolate goodness !!!
directions :
add all of the ingredients, except for the flour, to a bowl and whisk’ em all together (you can do this in a blender as well)
add the flour and mix until incorporated. let sit.
lightly oil a pan and heat it on medium heat.
when your pan is hot enough (be patient !), pour a bit of the batter (not sure about measurements, i just eye ball it) and twirl your pan ! your crêpe should be thin, but not too much.
once the sides of your crêpe crisp up a little bit (about 2 mins), loosen up the edges with a spatula and flip your crêpe (you can do it with the pan if you’re good, or with the spatula. you can even, as i generally do, just grab it with your fingers and flip it)
cook for 2 more minutes until golden.
eat & enjoy ! (i think this recipe makes like 6-8 crêpes depending on their sizes)
