Hello dear students! In this lecture we will learn about different coordinate systems. Just the meaning of a coordinate system. The very simple and popular system is cartesian coordinate system. The other systems are spherical polar coordinate system, and cylindrical coordinate system. Here we will learn about the plane polar coordinates and find a relation between cartesian coordinates and plane polar coordinates. We will express the unit vectors of plane polar coordinates into cartesian unit vectors. These are the fundamentals. We will study all the important derivations and the applications of results in numerical problems in this course. The concepts are very use full for IIT JAM and other university entrance exams.
