Hello everyone!

I’ve been taking things slow this week - next week we finally start offline classes it seems. I’ve kept up studying as regularly as I can, my next goal is to wake up early enough for actual offline classes, and then of course, working out regularly. I hope I can accomplish these goals this month. <3 a happy thing that happened todya was that jimin updated that he is recovering well at the hospital and beomgyu uploaded photos (finally) of him and toto!

what happened today that made you happy - even just a little bit? even if the day wasn’t how you wanted it to be - was there something that you could smile about?

I know I didn’t finish my tasklist today - but i completed 4 out of 6 tasks despite being slightly unwell - I think that’s good :)

Hello everyone! The new semester just began for me and the syllabus looks daunting, plus there will be many events and submission including a practical paper where we’ll have to teach preschool kids... not to mention the fact that we’ll probably finally start everything offline in my country.

Phew.

Daunting is the right word, but I’m also excited. I am going to try my best this semester to stay consistent to my studies as best as possible despite the hurdles. It seems less worrying when I see it from a big picture perspective and take it one step at a time.

This is what the younger me always wanted - productivity and activity and subjects I love - but she wasn’t prepared for these mountains. The present me though, hopefully, probably is prepared after these tough years. 

I look forward to spending this semester with all of you lovely people <3

🥰hello world

i am freed from the proverbial shackles of exams since this afternoon. and have a long weekend because another elective has their second paper on monday. my second paper for my elective (child development and education) was a practical paper with continuous assessments.

so, guess who’s free? me :)

made and ate my favorite ramen (w/fried egg and cold coffee) to celebrate 💃

a week of average three to four hours of sleep , from 3.30 or 4 AM to 9 AM each day - lots of studying, work, food, coffee and songs later. i am free. and good news, the last two papers went really well , despite being the tougher subjects. social psych went nicely

now i will put my worries aside and rest, reflect, plan ahead - some things i haven’t done  - in a very long time. ♡

Hello! Just finished an exam -  Intro to Social Psychology to be precise :) It went alright - studying up till 4 am last night, guess it was worth it. On my way to take a nap and get ready for these last two papers. Hopefully, I crush them before they crush me 🥷 It’s subjects I like, so that’s a plus. 🙌

Hello! My exams have already begun :’) Two exams down and I’m already almost at my wits’ end - but we must persevere!

Three more to go... and they’re the toughest, most important three. The workload and burnout of the past months left me barely any room to cover and revise my syllabus so I guess I’m going to be pulling late nights just like I did for my Civics/Current Concerns paper today - 3.30 AM :’) But I’ve done worse - it’s only painful because it’s perfect hibernation weather right now and we have no breaks between papers. 😭

This time around in my finals I just want to pass with satisfactory grades - this was not my finest hour and both me and my workload took a toll on my studying.

Thankfully it didn’t take a toll on my love for my subjects :)

I’ll see if I can update... otherwise see you guys on the other side! I mean, on Saturday !

2022 started with a dream coming true: I went to the Louvre! I absolutely fell in love with the architecture of this building and I definitely plan another visit, because it’s just way to much for a single day. Now I’m back working on some lectures and some open application processes. // Lux

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! 08-01-22

Hello everyone!

It’s my birthday today! Well, it will be for the next two hours. It’s currently 9.35 pm.

It was a bittersweet day, despite the strange missing excitement of a birthday because of the pandemic (a lockdown has been announced in our country again) and because of my upcoming finals - it all worked out and I am incredibly thankful for it!

I’m now in the last of my teenage years.

It’s been quite a rollercoaster. I have a lot of things to reflect on but I don’t want to make this post to long. I ate take-out today, from my favorite restaurant, lovely and delicious. And my birthday cake which was to arrive tomorrow arrived early today! I’ve had a week full of small surprise gifts, I love them all. Thanks, mom!

Also - yes, of course, I studied today. <3

can you tell I’m an ot7 but also a Seokjin ult-biased person from my cake? can you? ;)

The next week is going to be a tough one. You know how it is - the world seems like it has stopped when important exams are up, but the world actually just keeps on going... it’ll be alright, I will try my best as always and hope for a better tomorrow. <3

Happy New Year!

How have all of you been? The weekend was tough for me because I had a lot to prepare for in this week but I got through it today. My professor liked 1/2 of my presentations and some other things smoothed out too. I hope I can have this week to focus on and complete my studies as best I can because my exams are next week! But I’m catching up - progress is picking up the pace!

I started New Years the right way which is by eating pizza and watching Legally Blonde: The Musical (one of the best musicals. no criticism will be accepted) with my mom as the clock struck midnight. What did you do for the New Years?

I also planned out my resolutions and goals and bit by bit I’m working toward them. I know that even if I fall behind, I’ll get back up and move ahead - won’t we all?

I got distracted in one of my breaks because Kep1er debuted today!

Listen to their new album First Impact and title track WA DA DA  - it’s been stuck in my head and my Youtube recommendations are full of their debut show! I personally love them all but Xiaoting, Hikaru and Bahiyyih have caught my eye! They’re all so unique in their own ways - I know all of you are too!

Hello world! How is everyone doing?

I’ve been spread thin more than usual - trying my best to finish off work and submission with semester end exams coming up in a week or so. It’s overwhelming and I’m debating letting my professors know my boundaries in all honesty...

I am studying but it’s going a pace much slower than I would want, and a large part of my class is facing burnout. We’re trying our best to pull through, and I’ve weathered such storms before. I do acknowledge my feelings right now but I refuse to let them and my professors overpower me.

I’m keeping my chin up and just doing as best as I can. The winter chill makes me want to sleep for longer. Hibernate like a winter bear. 💤

In good news : I got my old laptop back and I received an early birthday present - I got the BE Deluxe Edition album! <3 My favorite album that finally made me an Army after years of being their fan, and my emotional support album all in one. It’s so special to me. I’m probably going to spend my free time staring at all it’s contents.

It’s Taehyung’s birthday tomorrow <3 And 2022 is nearing, dangerously close... I’ve always loved New Years. I hope I head into the new year with a smile on my face or at least with my chin up. ☀

Hello everyone! Christmas break is nearly here! 

Last week I was in a bit of a slump as I fell ill mid-week but over the weekend I attend a 3-day conference on stress management in industrial and corporate sector that was quite interesting - although I will admit my attention wavered too frequently as industrial Psychology is not my personal interest - although as a subject and field it’s a very essential one!

I’m getting back into the swing of things, finishing off extra documentation work for teachers and starting to study for my semester finals. It’s only three weeks away - and so is my birthday. All-nighters - I’ll be seeing you soon again! Today I studied Personality psychology but I’m taking small steps focusing on mainly making notes for this week as I’m still recovering from my illness completely. naps are helping me gather all the energy I need to survive winter break and my finals.

Hello! Another week has passed and it has been overwhelming to say the least. Catching up on submissions this week and assigned reading. 

Regarding my submissions - I’m done with all of them for this week! And now to start preparing for extra-curricular work and future submissions. There’s some for next week and well as more long term submissions. I hope it all goes well. (this could honestly be my catchphrase here).

I finished my assigned reading yesterday - remembered at the last minute and did some late night study - and then today’s class got cancelled :’) I spent that class working on our collective class-wide long term submission for this documentary we are supposed to create for our major. 

Today I finished extracurricular work and a really important group presentation that 

Also some wonderful opportunities have come my way - I signed up for a Peer Counselling Course that’ll start next year and have also been offered to join for a research competition for psychology. But it really is overwhelming - even though life can open up many doors of opportunities it presents just as many hurdles. I don’t know which one to choose - both are time consuming but so amazing! Plus there’s so many submissions and drumroll.... my semester-end exams are starting in January!  

Thankfully at least this time around - after many years - my birthday isn’t during the exams.

We just have to make choices. What is best for us. Not what others deem best. It is only through understanding this that I have come to where I am today - and though it can be tough sometimes - I am happier, and all the more grateful for it. it’s okay to let things go - what is most difficult is not always right.

Hello! I missed writing yesterday because I was up really late finishing up studying. You know that feeling of “oh my god it’s the last exam - it’s so tough to pay attention” - yes I was majorly suffering from the same. It was so tough to pay attention! But I kept going and pushed myself a little - it doesn’t matter how slow you go as long as you don’t stop, right? Goals are goals.

The mid-term went well - a little tricky, but it went well!

Today BTS finished their LA concerts and I finished my exams. I’m planning on spending the weekend sleeping, relaxing and planning for my upcoming projects and scheduling the next half of the term! Preparing for Seokjin and Soobin’s birthdays too. My fellow classmates are also going to host an online meet on Sunday it seems - I’ll also finally get to catch up with a lot of friends. The past month has been so so busy - it’s a new start now. I feel more in control. 

The weather is colder but my heart is warm and already settling into end-of-year holiday mode. 

Can you tell my struggles in paying attention yesterday from the state of my desk here? Referring for material from three textbooks at once is really fun though, it makes me feel like a true academic.
