In the long run i really dont care if you ACCIDENTALLY dead name me, its when you "oop sorry*Deadname*! Oh i mean *preferred name*" And then giggle cos you think i cant tell you fully meant that. I may be autistic, but i am not stupid.

If you mess up, with a genuine mistake, you will not go laugh about it with your friends and harass me later because i noticed and was not appreciative. You will be mortified, almost, in cases were people actually care about me even in the slightest they will stop, ask for my pronouns and preferred name, and if they mess up further they either correct themselves or i will, and they will apologise and move on.

Just say sorry and move on. The only time i accept my dead name is on legal documents. Everything else i can possibly look past, but making me into a joke at my expense? No, we will all feel bad here. I will be awkward and call it out, and you will continue to think about it.

Do you think the gods like how we draw them?

Or the angels appreciate the time it took to draw each feather or iris?

Maybe that we may not worship them like we used to, but that we've grown and evolved to know we're still there and we can stand on our own feet?

Maybe they appreciate that we write down their names and we give our own beautiful characteristics to them? Or that we feel closer to them if we imagine them to look like those among us? That we know of their beauty and we grow tired of their traditions and tragedies?

I hope they know that we think of them often and thoughtfully, as we curse their creations and we are sorry for the hateful words we drown them in. Because i am very sorry, and but i am angry and tired, so i will not take the words back but i will cherish them and i hope they do same.

I hope they can read this, wherever they may be. Spiteful and generous.
