i cannot stress enough that i didn't even know maegar was romanceable going into it, and i built my character as a divine protector paladin with the idea that she was sworn to varn's service but was maybe a little bit in love with him.

and then the game just gave that to me on a silver platter for free.

im playing pathfinder kingmaker and just finished the varnholds lot dlc and i stg the little side romance between maegar and his general is fifteen times more compelling to me than anything the main story has going.

Boone, to me, is not religious. He celebrates Christmas because Carla loved it (she loved all holidays, she wanted to spend them with Boone, just the two of them, which Manny disliked because him and Boone used to celebrate together)

Silvia, however, is a Muslim. Boone doesn’t entirely get religion (frankly, he didn’t know what a Muslim or Islam was until Silvia casually mentioned it).

Boone, also, sticks with Silvia. They’re pretty inseparable as a pair. Boone helps her make sure there’s somewhere safe she can pray, and he’s taken to carrying a spare hijab with him ever since she took hers off to use to stop a civilian’s wound bleeding one time because the pair were just going on a walk.

During Ramadan, Boone eats at the same time as Silvia. She didn’t actually notice the first time they spent Ramadan together, because they tended to get up with the sun anyway. She asked Boone about it the third time, and he explained it as, “I like it when we eat together. Sharing meals is something I used to do. With Carla… and Manny.”

Since then, the pair of them always share meals. Silvia likes this because it reminds her to eat meals at normal times and not get carried away, and Boone enjoys having someone he can trust.

However, this doesn’t help with the people go are confused about their relationship. It makes it worse, honestly.

finished mea, had a pretty decent time. i didn't hate it and there were some genuinely wonderful moments that shone through, but i feel that it had a lot of very typical bioware problems that ultimately let it down in the end
