The weather that day had been extrodinarily good for once that day, in her mind every day had been a bit grey lately and she felt like she had to do something else than sitting inside all day.. She grabbed herself a jacket, and wandered outside.. Standing on her the wrap around porch on the front of her new home, she glanced up and down the Pavillion Way. She was coming to quite enjoy the area, and especially how quiet it was.. Allowing her to have some alone time, not that it was lacking in her life but. Seeing how loud and busy her head was, the quiet utdoors did her really good.
And as she was about to step down one of the steps , she glanced up and down the street that someone was walking her direction, assuming it was a neighbour. So she stopped, awaiting them to pass her before she did the same.. The closer they got she couldnt help but give them a small smile. “Ah, bonjour”
@scatteredstart
“Bonjour,” DJ responded, definitely not pronouncing the word right despite his attempt. Honestly it sounded more Italian than French when the word left his tongue. “Hello,” he repeated, feeling a tint of red creep in on his cheeks because already he was losing his footing. DJ rubbed the back of his neck. “Nice day out, no?” was the first question he thought to ask. Great conversation starter, Derek. He flashed a sheepish smile.

the prince exchanged a smirk with the other. perhaps he should have been frightened at her words, but instead, he couldn’t help but feel intrigued by her. tilting his head slightly he took a step forward, slightly closing the gap in between them. “ i sure hope so, ‘cause i have a terrible habit of ignoring red flags, ” he countered back teasingly, adding a wink for good measure.
the usually confident woman was left speechless as she stepped back when he took a step forward only to find herself flushed against the trunk of a tree. she let out a low chuckle, never removing her sight from his. "don't say i didn't warn you," she smiled. "what's your name, stranger?"

mara couldn’t help but groan as she picked up on the other’s pun, “you’re a bit corny, aren’t you? luckily, a lot of people like that sort of thing. you better be careful, i have a feeling that you’re going to become quite the heartbreaker around here.” they teased, nose scrunching up slightly. her head tipped to the side at his comment, “oh? so you’re a baker? that’s pretty rad. i’m fairly sure i would be one of those sad idiots that burn water.” it was said to be an impossible feat, but she had heard of some people somehow failing so badly that they had conquered the impossible. they gently pulled one of the sheets from their sketchbook loose before handing it over to the other, “i have plenty of pens and coloured pencils, so go crazy.” she gestured to the variety of utensils that rested on the blanket.
“shamelessly,” he agreed with a wide grin. “something like that. yeah, i bake. and i cook,” he smiled when she’d picked up on his vague explanation. although it wasn’t an art people usually stopped by to stare at, it was something he took pride in when people found his food delectable. he received the blank sheet of paper and then the variety of colors that lay on the blanket. “i don’t even know what i should draw,” he thought out loud.

a sheepish yet nervous smile found its way onto cecil’s lips as he finally shot ylania a look, “i know you wouldn’t, but i also wouldn’t necessarily blame you for judging me after what i’m about to ask of you.” a weak chuckle fell from his lips, trying his best to laugh his nerves off. “the full moon is coming up this week and i…” his words trailed off, feeling his apprehension intensify with each word spoken. “i’m afraid of what will happen if i’m not at the very least chained up and away from others. i don’t want to cause an unintentional witch hunt in town or hurt anyone.” he explained, teeth sinking into his bottom lip. “would you be there for me before the sun sets? i’d just… need you to chain me up with some silver.” it would hurt like a bitch, but she didn’t need to know that. he would put on a brave face as long as she was there for him.
her eyes widened as her lips pressed together in a thin line. "oh, fuck," she whispered mostly to herself. she supposed anything was possible, but for her new found friend to also be a creature of the night seemed like an eerie coincidence. “okay,” she nodded, trying to register the information. “okay,” she repeated, finally coming to terms with it. obviously faster than most would if they had been given this news. “right,” she lifted her eyes to look at cecil. “i’m more than happy to help,” she promised before biting at her lower lip. “we just have one problem...” she swallowed thickly before she continued. it took a lot from her to have to willingly tell someone who she was... what she was. “i can’t exactly come see you before the sun sets...” she confessed. “i um— different boat, but exactly the same river,” she tried to explain. “i’m kind of... i can’t be out in the sun...”

moving a dark strand of hair away from his eyes he shook his head honestly. “ not at all, “ he confessed. it appeared they were all stuck in a facing a similar fate without any answers why. leo lifted a brow but refrained from saying anything. perhaps that was one way of looking at it. “ sure i suppose so… “ he agreed with a nod. after a pause a half smirk fell on to his lips. “ you appear to be taking this rather well, i have to say i sort of envy the enthusiasm. “ he replied honestly.
“who says i’m not?” he raised a brow at the other. he took a deep breath and take a look around. “i guess i am just not letting my worry get the best of me. so far, the place seems to be safe, which is best case scenario for us, wouldn’t you agree? it could be way worse.“ she shrugged. the truth was that if he even let himself to slow down and process what was really happening, he didn’t know if he would be able to grasp reality.

She whipped her had to the direction of who she thought to be someone calling her name. Brows furrow, it couldn’t have been right. And then eyes widen at the sight of him. “Sorin!” she said in shock before she ran with all her might to rush into her brother’s arms. She didn’t care if people saw that it only took a moment for her to get where she wanted to be. “Oh my lord,” she gasped as soon as she had her arms wrapped around him. She didn’t know at when, but she found her eyes had already pooled with tears and she was quick to wipe them away. “When? How?” she asked. “You’re here! You’re really here!” She hadn’t seen him in years, and this definitely was the last place she’d ever thought she’d see him.

As soon as the sun had set, Sorin was up and ready for night at the carnival. He’d always wanted to go to one, and especially so after he found out that they were a sore spot for Dimitri. After donning an outfit that would make Michael Emerson proud, he made his way over to the amusement park. Deciding to start with some games, he headed towards one of the booths. However, before he could reach it, a familiar face caught his attention. “Ylania?” He asked, questioning if she was really there, or if it was just a trick of the light and a similar looking person. But upon closer inspection, he realized that it was indeed who he’d hoped. “Ylania!” He exclaimed, running over to her and pulling her into a hug. “God am I glad to see you.”

toby had been throughly enjoying himself as he spent his time teasing several people in an attempt to get them to try their hand at the dunk tank. a few had tried and failed, meaning that the dark haired prince was left completely dry for the time being. as a brunette beagn to pass the tank he leaned forward in his spot, about to throw out another sarcastic remark until he realized who the other person truly had been. she was the person he met back in the woods. letting out a sigh he leaned back into his spot. “ you know i was gonna say something mean to get you to try it but i’m not sure i have it in me, “ he admitted with a charming smile. it was the first time had used his charm that entire night. “ what you say, will you reward me with a few throws? “
“you can give it a shot, i can take it,” she had to smile at the sight of him. without a second thought, she approached the booth that he was manning, easily deducing what it was for. “you look rather dry,” her grin growing rather mischievous. “actually, the pleasure would be all mine,” she promised, looking rather excited at the chance to ruin toby’s streak.

an amused chuckle left his lips upon hearing her response. “ was there ever a better pastime? “ he questioned teasingly. of course he could think of one which he had currently been doing but that was irrelevant. lifting a brow his amused grin flattered ever so slightly, “ should… i be nervous? “ he questioned, his tone was lighthearted but of course there was some truth to his question, one could never be too sure. though she appeared to be a friendly face looks could certainly be deceiving.
“I couldn’t come up with a better past time myself,” she smirked at how easily the stranger returned her banter. “oh, yes,” she nodded, playing it off with a faux seriousness. but she was far more dangerous than he probably thought she was. anyone should be running from her and yet... “but i promise i’ll behave,” her smirk grows into a grin. the vampire didn’t mean any harm. she only wanted to have what other people have, after all.

audrey:
it was almost hard for audrey to believe how loudly her stomach was growling from the sheer smell of the popcorn. did humans have to deal with this sensation all the time? no wonder she had heard the daycare employees say they were on the verge of ‘hanger’ when they missed out on their lunch breaks. her eyes were wide as saucers as she watched the other sample the salty treat, a smile overtaking her lips at his review of it. “oh gosh, we should be careful then, shouldn’t we? there looks like there is enough to feed the whole town in this little machine here.” she giggled as she allowed her hand to reach into the offered bucket and plop some of the kernels into her mouth. “oh wow! that’s…” she initially spoke with her mouth half full and had to stop to chew. “i think that might be the best thing ever! i’m not sure if anything could ever top this for me!”
“oh, i am sure there is lots i can show you,” he excitedly offered. “what i mean to say is if this is the best you have had, there are so many other flavors and textures you can explore out there.” there was nothing the prince was more passionate about that food and drink, after all. “if you would like, i would be pleased to see you again another time... i can make you a whole feast to sample.” and then a pause. “it might not be the best idea to accept food from a stranger so...” the prince formally stepped back to formally bow to the maiden. “i apologize for my ill manners and not introducing myself sooner. my name is rozen ferdinand.”

tempest, would you curse those who shunned you to look just as you did so they would understand what it was like for you?
"oh, without a second thought." she smirked. "not so that they would understand me, but so they would come to see their own cruelty. these humans cannot expect to live their life without consequences."
