ok so we start out with this shit. even before this frame, dude is staring at them Martin lips like he’s in the middle of the desert and they’re the only water for miles. Then we get here and they both go in OPEN goddamn MOUTH for this kiss. she is PUCKERED for him. She was puckered ten feet ago, she was puckered when she walked in the damn door, hell, she was puckered 3 months ago. She got her tongue fucking ready to dock at Port Stilinski Lips.

She comes in fucking Little Caesar’s Hot ‘N Ready with the hands on the neck. goddamn. And they are PRESSED into each other. If they were kissing any deeper they would swallow each other. Which now, come to think of it, might have been their goal.

I just had to ask this, and no matter what Holland’s answer could have been, it would have always been worth it.

No matter how you look at it, the little things about Stydia matter!

The lingering glances, the touching, the holding hands…

That’s them.

And there are two ways of looking at it. Either it’s scripted and Holland and Dylan follow the script they’re given and that’s it, or Holland and Dylan play their scenes in a way that -even after all the editing and cuts are made and even though it wasn’t scripted - still get to be in the final product, in the episode that we actually get to see (like what happened with the Stydia kiss).

And both options are important.

So I asked Holland how much of these little Stiles and Lydia’s moments are actually scripted or if there are a lot of scenes when Holland and Dylan just play it out like they feel they should and away from what the script says, and those scenes just end up being in the episode we get to watch.

(Fair warning, you might wanna sit down now…)

Holland said that if a scene, for instance, is too intense, she and Dylan maybe linger for a little more or their touch lasts for a little while longer because it’s how they feel like they should play it out but that that is about 10% (Holland actually said 10%!) of what is scripted.

Which means that everything is actually scripted.

EVERYTHING IS SCRIPTED!!!

The holding hands is scripted, the lingering glances, the way they touch each other… Holland and Dylan just end up enhancing it and what they do does end up on screen after all the editing and cuts.

And that fucking matters!

Stydia is scripted.

All the little Stydia moments are scripted and Stydia is in the little moments.

Tell me my question wasn’t worth it.

Holland’s favorite scenes with Dylan are the ones with banter. She loves when they roll their eyes at each other and when Stiles walks behind her trying to catch up. When asked about when Malia came along, Holland said Lydia refrained more from it because she seems a little jealous.
