I did not cringe as much as the people who read the Idea of You fan fic, but even if I had read it, there are many movies I have seen and loved that were loosely based on adapted work. I don't expect them to be identical. I thought the chemistry between the two leads Anne and Nicholas was good and that helped to make this rom com work for me. I also don't care it was originally a Harry fic. I didn't think about Harry in it at all.

Honestly, it was an enjoyable movie for what it was. Yes it was cringy but so was the book. Entertaining nonetheless!

Okay so I am watching The Idea of You (and yeah I read the book) and the way the author and whoever made the movie tried to deny the fact that it’s clearly Harry fanfic….I cannot!!
