A Step-by-Step Guide on How to Start Writing a Book (based on my own experience)

Step 1: Be super involved in a fandom.

Step 2: Get involved in a super immersive 1-1 roleplay based around that fandom.

Step 3: Dedicate 10 years and 500,000+ words to the roleplay. Make sure you spend an ample amount of time coming up with headcanons that fill in the canon lore you don't like or hasn't happened yet. You should also come up with a bunch of OCs that you end up falling in love with.

Step 4: Several years into the roleplay, you and your partner will realize that most of the stuff you've come up with is original content, and you're spending a lot of time on it, so you might as well turn it into a book.

Step 5: Realize most of what you wrote is just a product of your juvenile love for your chosen fandom, so you toss that content out along with anything that might get a copyright strike raised against you and your partner.

Step 6: Start your WIP :)
