Greetings, fellow browser. This is where Faye Kingswell keeps her visual journal. If you were looking for her designs and illustrations, you're better off heading over to Filthy Faye's page on facebook. The moniker 'subcutaneous' is intended as a telling title, as I seek to dig underneath my own skin and examine my findings.

This sweet and oh-so-hungry lady is a Woodhouse’s toad [Anaxyrus woodhousii], found in Burleson, Texas. Photographer Kala Murphy King writes:
“My daughter’s resident garden toad. Who could resist this face? Don’t you just want to toss her a few earthworms? Maybe a cricket or two?”

Fun Christmas fact: In Denmark grandmas love to snack on pickled gnome butts.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They catch the gnomes in the winter and let the butts pickle all year so they’re ready for next Christmas.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like most old-people food it’s a bit of an acquired taste so some grandmas add spices to make the butts more palatable for the younger generations.
