Hi, I love your idea and art. But one question worries me, if White had a "motherly" love for Pink, then she wouldn't be afraid that during the final diamond attack, Pink could be corrupted? Did this event not happen?

It did happen.

White is not a god, she is not omnipresent and omniscient.

Just because she was present in Pink's life during the rebellion, does not change the fact that she didn't witness everything that was happening on Earth.

As far as she knew back then, Pink Diamond was gone.

I can't promise that's how they will appear in the comic because it's still a while away and a lot can happen, but I'm satisfied enough for now.

Are there any comics or fanfictions I can read about this? Or are you still fleshing out the world?

I'm still in the process of writing. I came up with a very extensive story that I want to tell so it does take time. I have a few chapters locked and loaded and ready to draw, but I prefer to wait a while because I have a tendency to change things mid-way and I need to be sure that there will be no plotholes related to the changes I made to the canon.

I'm also in the process of expanding the world of Homeworld with elements that are not described in detail in the series, so I have to come up with them myself and make sure they make sense.

The whole story will largely follow in the footsteps of the main series: seasons 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, plus an extension with season 6 containing elements from the movie and Future at the same time.

So yes, there will be a comic. When? I can't say exactly, but yes, I'm working on it.

Since there is a trio of white pearls will we be getting a backstory for how one of them joined pink, or will it be largely the same as canon where White just gave Pink a new pearl after she damaged her original one?

Both, actually.

This whole thing is going to be a bit more complicated that's for sure. Our Pearl will be given to Pink by White when Pink Pearl is damaged, yes, but she has never been "made to order".

Each of White's three Pearls looked after Pink Diamond in some way and kept her in check on White's behalf. Our Pearl was one of them, which means that their relationship will start and develop quite differently.

Also, nickname drop for the Pearl Trio. So that we all know how to address each of them.

Powder, Pearlie (our Pearl), Snow White.

Who nicknamed them? That's a very good question. Anyway.

Wouldn't rose quartz be suspicious of Celtics quartz?? The similarities between white diamond. If she's not really all for a rebellion.

Sorry if I didn't make myself clear about this before.

White knew Pink was Rose, so she confronted her about it. White, just like in the series, did not take the whole rebellion seriously, she considered it a game that Pink would soon get bored of. But because of the deep care for the smallest Diamond, White wanted to keep an eye on Pink at all time. So Pink managed to convince White to join her from time to time and show her what she was fighting for.

It is then that White takes on her alter ego for their joint journeys to Earth. She never fell in love with Earth, so she never became an active member of the rebellion, the only thing she was interested in was for Pink to come home. There was never any malevolent intent behind her actions.

So Celtic Quartz was only known as an ally and/or informant among the rebels who actually had the pleasure of seeing her with their own eyes. Among others she was almost like a myth, as many couldn't believe that a Gem from the white court could join the rebellion.

Only one Gem knew the truth.

I'm excited for this au! Although out of curiosity how exactly are you planning on telling it like comics, fanart, fanfiction nets,etc ?

Glad to hear it! It will definitely be a comic. The arts I'm posting now serve as teasers for what's to come, well… to get people excited! The comic will be published soon here on Tumblr and on Tapas. I just need a little bit more time to finalize the story.
