"...Will it be?" She finally croaked, managing to retain her death-like stillness despite the usual gentle jolt that followed someone starting to speak. "I don't… Feel like it will be."

Of course it didn't feel that way. She just found out the addictive substance was made up of her various friends, burned and processed. Everyone was eating their friends. People they might've liked, once. People they'd never see again. People she'd never see again.

If she felt like crying, she would've done so. But she couldn't. There was now a numb cover over her broken insides, one that she didn't have the power to break through. One she might not ever want to break through.

She shook her head, body trembling under his hand. Friends lost�� Being consumed… Maybe even Johnny… Her mother. That’s right… When she was a child her momma fought with papa about the smokestacks. She’d been furious, livid about it, but he wouldn’t listen. Momma knew… So… So why then, did she leave her here…?!

A broken cry left her lips and the only word her damaged voice box could manage, “…Mo……mma…. Momma……” The words were muffled and raspy and broken, but they were something.

Sugar hurt all over. Emotionally, physically. She felt betrayed. The only people worth anything to her anymore were the friends previously mentioned and the Elsen. If Enoch had done this terror, what were the other Guardians doing? Was their great Queen really letting this happen? It made her sick. Sick of everything, everyone in this disgusting plot.

Her tears slowed, then stopped. Sugar’s body went through a few more tremors before they stopped. And suddenly, everything was deathly quiet. The only sign of Sugar still retaining any life was the steady breathing that made her body rise and fall gently.

Sugar nodded, nearly lunging to the side to a fairly large sugar pile to her right, pulling a dirty, brown, medium-sized sketchbook from under it. From beside herself, she retrieved the only forms of writing/art utensils she owned, a red, twistable crayon and a small pen, which was smaller than the crayon and probably a smidgen bigger than Tadashi's own pinky finger.

"Nope! Silly Tads, I already told you our world is made completely of metal. Clean air only exists here, metal is our world and plastic too, and things like water and greenery are lost on us. Heck, even most animals! There's only the cats, Pablo and Valarie, and the millennial firebird, Japhet, Guardian of Zone 2. Our rain is liquid plastic and "snow" is but sugar. Since the holidays are apparently coming up too, metal trees are being made by some Elsen to celebrate." She laughed a little at that. "The only thing we've kept in touch with your world is in holiday spirit! ...Did you want to go see the outside, by the way, or...?"

There had been back and forths about worlds and though Sugar was currently unable to receive herself in his world, Tadashi could explore hers. Might as well, while he was here! ...Though Sugar should probably avoid adventures to other Zones for now. Humans couldn't normal breathe smoke, except for Sugar, who'd been born in such an environment and lived through it easily. Zacharie couldn't stand it as well as she could and this wore his mask to block it out and purify it for better use. Tadashi probably didn't have an immunity or mask so... Being adventure wary was a good idea.

He’d been just about to go off on a rant about the ineffectiveness of a travel system that required a limited number of cards when he was caught off guard by her questions about his world. ‘His world’ still being a new phrase to get used to, for one. "I—yeah. Yeah, if I had my phone on me I could show you pictures. All sorts of plants. Grass, trees, flowers, you name it. Roses, daffodils, tulips, cherry blossoms. My favorite is the lily flower, personally," he said, voice fading out for a moment before he cleared his throat and refocused. "If you have something to draw with I could sketch some out for you."

He paused when the thought struck him. “I’m… I’m sorry, I haven’t been outside yet, are you telling me flowers and plants aren’t things here? Like… you’ve never seen a flower? Not even a weed one?”

Sugar seemed to be reading his mind on that one. "Who's going around and hurting Sugar rolls?" Going for another dose of theatrics, she whined and curled up slightly, what little if her golden eyes could be seen set into a heartbreaking puppy-dog eyes that would cause cavities if at full-blast.

Probably.

"Though I can't argue with that! If there's anyone out there with the intent of hurting a Sugar roll, you have my full consent to beat the stuffing outta em. You can even use my dummies, if you want. One of them can heal you, you know!" She was tempted to show them off, but instead snugged deeper into the fabric around her, hands clutching it close, like it was the most precious thing in the world. Maybe even more precious than sugar.

A curious thought entered her brain, but might as well let him speak first before asking.

I never told you that I really want to wear your coat! It looks comfy~ :-)

"I have many coats, and all are as comfy as the next," he chuckled.

"Whoah..." Sugar considered that for a moment, that the Zones were once a kingdom. She wondered if in that world, there were trees and water and plant-life and various animals there. Thinking over it, something wavered in her code, like some strange upset that had it reacting and... Feeling odd, in general. She frowned at the feeling, though ignored it. It didn't seem too important, whatever it was.

Naive, indeed.

"Well, I wish you luck on that much, at least. Even if the Zones are probably really weird now, I think it'd be neat if you managed to bring that kingdom back, somehow." It really would and if she was able to, she would have liked to offer her own hand and dummies to help out. Then again, who knows if the Batter would even like that idea in the first place. That and she had a feeling that the lady before her would rather give her darn bestest before seeking any kind of help.

Sugar nodded in agreement. "Alright then! Lead the way, Batty~" Ah, the nicknames strike again, just when one thought they might've escaped her endless plotting of the nicknames.

This one did like talking, it seemed. There was no doubt about that. Though to someone like the Batter, at least it filled what would otherwise be an uncomfortable silence. Perhaps the only reason that chatty people didn’t bother her as much as they should’ve.

When the most that you heard day in and day out was whispering, or the distant shrieks and giggles of Secretaries, actual talking became quite pleasant to the ears.

"It used to be a real kingdom. That was a long time ago. I suppose it is just a ‘file,’ now." It was very rare to hear someone actually call the Zones a “mess,” though. That did catch her attention. This one was definitely naive. She should’ve expected as much from Sugar, though when it came right down to it, she knew little to nothing about them. They hid, they ate sugar, Zacharie was usually bitter over there passing. That was the extent of it.

"The Zones in my land are purified. I’ve been working on finding a way to restore them to what they were, long before they had become Zones, but it’s not an easy task. And if you are trying to find Zacharie, I know where he usually sets up shop. You may follow me, if you wish."

{ Trying to find stuff for Vivi. More like, when can I rush out to the nearest clothing store because majority of these prices are ridiculous.

Also, how am I supposed to judge a good wig for Vivi? I think I have a good one in sights, as it appears to have good color, but will the styling work? What if it's the wrong color? (I'm such a 'close-as-canon-as-possible' person with cosplay, don't judge me.)

Hhhhhhh, I just want to go store-hopping to find my stuff already cause she seems like fun to cosplay.

Though on another note, where does one find shoes like hers? }

Ugggghhhh such problems. I guess I'll do some cosplay prep then, so I can figure out if I'll go through with Sugar (I really want to but cost is important this season??) and also check up on some stuff for Vivi, because she is another rlly cute bae I'd love to cosplay/RP sometime. Plus, her blue theme and choice of clothing just might be really comfortable for me! I mean, thigh-highs with a cute skirt while in a cozy sweater and wearing a long scarf?

Oh holy moly. "10,000? I can barely think up of five! ...Erm, not that I'm most reliable to-go person for medical stuff." She frowned a little at that, but continued on. "No, we don't have robots, just machinery. And I'd love to take you to him, but Her Zoneness, the Queen... She's sealed off The Room... I'd need the adequate Zodiac card to get in... One I don't have." Leaning to her left, Sugar pulled out a small bundle of cards from under a pile of sugar. They were quite simple on the back, simply lines of a gold color on a black background. The front of the cards, however, showed the name, symbol, constellation, and image of one of the Western Zodiac. The first was a Leo card, followed by a Cancer card, and then the Pieces card.

"To travel to Zones, you need one of these to go to the certain area. My d... Well, I've had these since I was young and the Zones created, so I could go into Zone 1 (she pointed to the Leo), Zone 2 (to the Cancer), and back home to Zone 3 (the Pieces). To go to where the Queen and Hugo are, I'd need the Zodiac card for that and, well... Only the Guardians of the Zones own the one I need." Sugar sighed, slumping slightly as she looked at the cards she barely ever even used. This royally sucked. Literally. How was she supposed to inform The Queen that this person, this maybe-Player (hey, someday, it could happen now that he knew about the game), could help Hugo, when The Room was closed off?

She was curious about what a robot was, but more pressing to her mind was one of few desires she had about the Old World for her, Tadashi's true home for him. "Hey, so... I hope you don't mind me sidetracking for a moment, but I'm curious... Are there really plants in your world, Tads? Like, real flowers that grow and smell pretty? And water too? Those are things in your world, aren't they?"

Suddenly very upset he didn’t have his notebook or tablet here to take notes, Tadashi leaned in closer and listened intently. He’d always been a great listener and, with luck, he’d be able to recall most of this conversation later when he had a chance to actually write it down. It was a skill that came in handy in lectures. Again and again, the details of this strange new world fascinated him and even his quick mind struggled to come to terms with the ideas and concepts she presented to him. Breathing smoke, mining metal stones out of cows, liquified meat, addictive sugar… It all just seemed to crazy, to fantastical, even for a world that was supposedly a video game made up as a fantasy to some creator somewhere in his own world.

His head perked up at the phrase ‘very sick’. “Sick?” he asked, tilting his head. “I’m—I know a few things about medicine, I designed a robot—do you know robots?—I designed a bot fluent in over 10,000 medical procedures. I could—if you know what he’s sick with, I could try and help,” he offered, unsure of how such interference would affect the game and the world in which he now found himself.

He would choose to ignore the fact about this Hugo, supposedly human, creating two other lifeforms that Tadashi assumed were much older than himself, based off of the descriptions he’d heard of the Batter. And he would ignore for now the fact that the people here breathed smoke, and that there were so few humans.

{ You ever have that moment where you see a fandom and you're like, "Oh, hey! That looks kinda cool." You don't get into it though, just give it a nod, thumbs up and continue on your way? Well, has that ever followed up with the moment you decide to look up that fandom source (game, movie, animation, etc.) for the heck of it, only to realize you're getting dragged in by your ankles?

Cause I dunno about the rest of you, but both the fandoms OFF and Mystery Skulls- Ghost Animated have done this to me.

"Aw, well tha- Wait a minute. You had doubts about me?" She gasped dramatically, stepping back and placing a hand over her heart. Oh goodie, theatrics! Prepare your popcorn, everyone. "I will have you know I am the coolest, nicest, and probably literally most sweetest person around~!" The foot that stepped back came forward once more, though slightly moreso than the other and resting on its heel. To add to her ridiculous act, Sugar grabbed onto either edge of her jacket and flicked it out slightly.

"Seriously though, no worries about me. I live by a 'you don't attack, me I don't attack you' basis. Life is waaaaaaay easier that way, since nobody goes fight-picking in the first place. My name is Sugar!" She gave a playful salute, another little grin forming on her face.

At that last part, any tension The Batter had left him, and he deflated visibly. He cupped his face in his hands and cussed softly underneath his breath for letting this ditzy girl work him up, while Samael just happily giggled and gave the biggest smile he could before speaking,

"I li… ke you miss…! You seem like a ve… ry nice per… son…! Knew you coul… dn’t be all that bad…!" Samael seemed relaxed now, and Batter just rolled all four of his eyes before lowering his hands and letting his Bat dissipate entirely before folding his arms over his chest and giving Sugar a more friendly gaze now. If Samael felt comfortable around Sugar after all, who would The Batter be to not return the feelings as he spoke up,

"Well, I suppose since he feels more comfortable around you, I can loosen up a bit myself. Mind if I ask your name?"
