My hopes are always brought up, only to be shattered time and time again. I sometimes wonder if it's best to go throughout life without expecting anything. That way it would hurt less, but not expect anything is just as sad too...
I know that it's important to hold onto hope, and trust that flame inside that it will burn and last long as it should, but those expectations burn like a candle lit at both ends. If you hold onto it for too long, your bound to get burned at some point.

It's so messed up that even though I push any good thing away from me, I still I wish I found someone to love me the way that I loved them. Someone who would hold me when I go cold, message me when I go slient and scold me whenever they notice I'm acting out of character. Everyone I've ever known has accepted that I'm distance and has not even made an attempt to understand why. I'm am so easy to let go of, I make sure people let me down easy before I fall hard. Time and Time again people have dropped me without reason, leaving me more broken every time.
I push people away with the hopes of being wanted and held onto tightly. To see if I'm worth the hassle of holding onto, but most importantly, to see if I was ever really needed in someone else's life as much as I wish for them to be in my own...
