Blog #5: Repetitive Advertisement + a YouTube Video
Yo, it’s me. Today, I’ll be discuss the repetition of Frosted Flakes advertising. The reason why I’m writing about it now is because on New Year’s Day of 2023, I watching a marathon of “The Amazing World of Gumball” on Cartoon Network. Now usually, Frosted Flakes would do its thing about once per commercial break, like it has been for the past 3-4 years. That day, one of the breaks aired the commercials not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES! I mean, what the fuck?! Sure, I’ve seen Chuck E. Cheese’s or McDonald’s advertised twice per break, but never more than that, which means that Tony’s just hogging most - if not, all - of the time in between program blocks. That was probably the most I’ve ever seen Cartoon Network sponsor Frosted Flakes since the series finale of “Steven Universe: Future” back in 2020, basically when the Covid-19 pandemic began. Seriously, like people had nothing better to do in quarantine than that?! People couldn’t be bothered leaving their house to get the cereal because the world was on lockdown. Like, what is Tony trying to do, trick people into getting sick with the virus?! I don’t think so!
Yes, I remember that night, the day I was sobbing as I saw the final moments in “Steven Universe: Future” (the constant Frosted Flakes didn’t really help me feel better either). And I swear, Tony couldn’t go the first thirty seconds without breaking the forth wall, could he?!
Speaking of, I saw this cool video about Frosted Flakes being advertised constantly during the Steven Universe: Future finale. Here’s the link:

Yeah Steven, quite frankly, I don’t blame you. Also, what I found funny about this video was that at the end, Tony states how lonely he is and begins to cry. Good, he fucking deserves it! But to be honest, if I was to see Tony in real life, I wouldn’t just reject his cereal; I would punch him in the face, then make a run for it. So ha ha! In your face, Tony! Not even Steven likes you!
If you didn’t see the video above, I suggest you do before Tony has you, too, under his spell.

Blog #4: Auditory Angst
Hey, so sorry I didn’t blog in about almost a week or two. So to make up for that, here’s a blog about this one song (that I don’t want my sister to hear, let alone know about) called “Bring Out The Tiger” - yeah, the song that was used in the current Frosted Flakes commercials. Let me tell you about my reaction back in 2020 when I first heard it: the moment I heard the first lyric, I was like “nope this song’s the absolute worst”, probably because for one, it’s used in a Frosted Flakes commercial and second, it just…it just sucks. You know, as if a large, personified tiger with a deep, demonic voice who’s always saying as asinine slogan wasn’t bad enough, now we have to deal with a song that goes with it! Like damn, Kellogg’s! What were you thinking?! The song’s literally TORTURE! How could this get any worse from here?
I know this is one of those songs that’s supposed to “pump” you up and give you that feel-good confidence, but to me, it’s more like a sufferable equivalent to nails on a chalkboard. To be honest, it sounds like it could be the Soviet Union’s new national anthem or something; it’s a communist anthem! So the hell with “Bring Out the Tiger”, and it better not be available on Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, or any other streaming service. So there! You can’t change my mind.
I also won’t bother adding the link to the song because I don’t want people getting brainwashed by that annoying song!

Blog #3: Playin’ With Plagiarism
Alright, so remember seeing the commercials for Lucky Charms? Yes, Lucky Charms is one of my favorite cereals. But if you don’t remember what they’re about, it’s about Lucky the Leprechaun keeping his cereal away from a group of meddling kids. And if that’s not bad enough, then let me just say that nothing’s worse than having your cereal format traced by another mascot’s.
Here, Lucky Charms was the first cereal to ever feature marshmallows in the contents. But guess who had the most unsuccessful idea to copy that same exact format? Tony did!

And here’s proof that Tony copied Lucky:

Earth to Tony - NOBODY GAVE YOU PERMISSION TO TRACE LUCKY’S CEREAL!
Also, the most popular cereal ever known to man: Honey Nut Cheerios.

Yes, on the left is the genuine Honey Nut cereal we all adore. And on the right is such a disgraceful rip-off of the cereal. Worse, Kellogg’s placed a bee on the box to prevent getting sued. Well, not on my watch!
Next, Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

The rip-off:

Lastly, Trix cereal.

In case you didn’t notice, the box reads “turns your milk pink”. Now read carefully on this cereal box:

Apparently Strawberry Milkshake Frosted Flakes turns your milk pink too, in case you didn’t notice on the cereal box’s design. Therefore, this counts as another rip-off.
So what’s next?! Will Cap’n Crunch Oops-All-Berries be the next target, or will it be Resse’s Puffs or Cookie Crisps? (Note: if any other cereals get copied next, I’ll make a part two to this blog.)

Blog #2: How It All Started
Hey, I’m back. Now you may be wondering: why do I hate Frosted Flakes? Well, it’s quite simple, because this dates back to 2011, when I was just 5 years old. If I recall correctly, I was getting ready for my first day of kindergarten (I never started preschool at the time). On that very day, I was all dressed, ready to go, until I saw a bowl of the cereal on the kitchen table. I was curious as to what it was, so I only took one bite of it and let me just say - it tasted like SHIT! It was literally way to sweet. Even worse, my tummy started to hurt upon swallowing it. And once my bus came to take me to school, I was already in the bathroom, vomiting in the toilet galore.
Honestly, my mother thought it might’ve been wither a stomach bug or an allergic reaction, but for a 5 year old, I actually knew then and there that it wasn’t the case; I knew for a fact the Tony poisoned me with his cereal, and since the incident came and went, I vowed to forever stay away from Frosted Flakes and all things that pertain to it, but there’s only one problem: it ranks as the second (formerly third) most popular cereal in the United States. And overtime, the cereal evolved into nothing good. The commercials became more annoying, the slogan was said more and more, and Tony’s voice…ugh! I get shivers down my spine just thinking about it.
So this is basically my backstory for those who wonder why I hate the cereal so much, just saying. But yeah, I’ll see you in the next blog!

Blog #1: Introduction
Hello, my friends. I’m @supergalangeladecibel2024. Welcome to my newest tumblr blog. Today, I wanna share some things that you didn’t know about life.
Okay, so we all have our own opinions about certain things we like and don’t like. And if our opinions and preferences don’t match up, then they are respected in a polite and thoughtful way. However, not all opinions should be respected, either because you find what the other person likes unsuitable or inappropriate for them, or that you have a meaningful hatred or grudge towards something. Which is - in this case, for me, and nobody laugh at me for this - I have a hateful grudge against Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes.
Yeah, you heard me right; I hate Frosted Flakes, and I especially hate Tony the Tiger! I think he and his cereal are so stupid and I hope he would go bankrupt real soon. Which brings us to what this blog will be about: my hatred for Frosted Flakes, as well as a bunch of rants and callouts about the cereal. I may post about as little as once a week, but as much as three times a day. It varies, as I don’t have a clear schedule for when I’ll post updates. But yeah.
I hope you enjoyed this short blog. Maybe I’ll post again right after, who knows? But anyways, take care!
