My heart breaks and at the same time I think it's very tender on Ranma's part, how he would be capable of moving heaven and earth in any way to protect Akane or even save her from any danger. If he gave a name to all this he would realize that it is love.

I like how it shows throughout the series how Ranma values Akane but overthinks the moment since he values his intimate moments with her. They're both in love with each other, just awkward about showing that openly since they're similar and misunderstand each other due to their crazy surroundings.
