Chapter 25. The Pendant's Power
Note: Takeru Ren is Sukuna's new reincarnation. I will be referring to reincarnated Sukuna as Takeru-na. Pyonie calls him Ryo-kun. His Uncle Hyou calls him Ren.  *** As Pyonie stepped into the school building, whispers followed her every move, speculations about Takeru's miraculous recovery from his near-fatal accident echoing through the halls.
But amidst the chaos, her eyes met Takeru-na's across the crowded hallway. In that brief moment, a silent understanding passed between them. They had talked the night before, planning to meet up in secret at the abandoned club room after school. As the final bell rang, Pyonie gathered her things and made her way towards the place where she and Takeru-na had planned to meet. Her heart raced with anticipation and nervousness, unsure of what to expect.
She pushed open the door, her breath catching in her throat as she saw Takeru-na waiting for her inside. He looked different, yet familiar, his eyes holding a glimmer of recognition that only she could see.
"Ryo-kun," she breathed, her voice barely above a whisper.
He smiled, the corners of his mouth turning up in a way that made her heart skip a beat. "Pyonie," he murmured, his voice low and intimate. "I've been waiting for you."
Pyonie clutched the pendant in her hand, her heart racing as she approached Takeru-na. She held it out to him, her eyes wide with a mix of fear and anticipation.
Takeru-na's eyes widened as he saw the pendant, his gaze intense as he reached out to take it from her. He turned it over in his hands, his brows furrowing as he examined it closely.
"This pendant," he murmured, his voice low and thoughtful. "I remember it. It was given to me by an old lady back in the Heian era, right before she died. She said it would bring me the happiness I desired, but she didn't live long enough to explain what that meant."
Pyonie's eyes widened, her breath catching in her throat. "What happened?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Takeru-na's expression hardened, his jaw clenching. "I kept it for a few months, but nothing changed. I was frustrated, angry that someone would make a fool of me like that. So I crushed it and threw it away."
He paused, his gaze meeting hers. "But then I saw you wearing it back in the Heian period. I knew I had to keep you, no matter what. To figure out what that happiness meant."
Pyonie's heart skipped a beat, her mind remembering the past. "Why me?" she asked, her voice trembling. "Why did the pendant choose me?"
Takeru-na's expression softened, his eyes filled with a tenderness that made her heart ache. "I don't know for sure," he admitted. "But maybe it was like a matchmaker, finding you as a suitable partner for me. It sealed a part of our souls together, binding us in a way that goes beyond understanding."
Pyonie nodded slowly, her mind grappling with the weight of his words. "I think you're right," she whispered. "The pendant... it tied our fates together. And I... I don't hate anyone involved. I believe everything happens for a reason."
"May I keep it?" Takeru-na asked. "I want to study it, to examine it closely."
"Yes," she said softly. "Of course."
"It's strange," he murmured, his voice low and thoughtful. "I'm certain I destroyed it the second time, then it sent you back to the modern world. But here it is, as if it was never harmed."
He looked up at her, his red eyes intense.
"I would have classified it as a special-grade cursed object. I could feel its power back in the Heian era, the way it emitted cursed energy." His voice filled with a sense of awe. "Yet, it's radiating an unusual positive energy now. Something more powerful than any curse I've ever encountered."
Pyonie's breath caught in her throat,  "What does that mean?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly.
"I can't explain it," he admitted, his expression softened. "But I do know that whatever happens, we'll face it together."
Pyonie silently nodded and looked at his gaze.
Takeru-na reached out, his hand cupping her cheek in a gentle caress. "Pyonie," he murmured, his voice filled with a longing that made her heart race. "I've done terrible things to you in my past. But I want to make it up to you."
"I know," she whispered. "I believe in you, Ryo-kun."
As they both stepped out of the room, Pyonie pulled out her phone, a mischievous smile playing on her lips. "Ryo-kun," she said, her voice soft and playful. "Let's take a picture together!"
He leaned in, his arm wrapping around her waist as she held the phone out. "Like this?"
She angled the camera towards them, her finger hovering over the button. "Say cheese!"
The flash lit up the dim hallway, capturing their smiles and the sparkle in their eyes. Pyonie quickly sent the photo to Takeru-na's phone.
He pulled out his own device, scrolling through the pictures until he found the one she had just sent.
"I remember the day you first described to me about this gadget," he murmured, his thumb brushing over the screen. "I was amazed that it could store memories like that."
Pyonie nodded, a soft smile playing on her lips. "It's incredible, isn't it? To be able to look back on moments like these and cherish them forever."
As they walked hand in hand, Pyonie led Takeru-na towards the bright lights and lively sounds of the arcade. It was a world so different from the one he had known in the Heian era, yet somehow, with Pyonie by his side, it felt like home.
"I want to try this one," she said, pointing to a racing game. "Do you wanna join me?"
He grinned, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "Sure, let's do it."
They played several rounds, laughing and cheering each other on as they tried to beat their high scores. Then, feeling a bit hungry, they headed to a nearby fast-food restaurant.
"Modern food tastes weird and unnatural," he commented as he bit into his burger. "But I'm happy that you're with me."
Pyonie smiled, her heart warming at his words. "I can cook for you using the methods Uraume taught me," she offered.
He raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "I look forward to it."
As they continued their conversation, Takeru-na occasionally pulled out his phone, snapping photos of Pyonie or recording short videos of her unguarded moments. It was his way of preserving these precious memories, a testament to the bond they shared.
Pyonie, too, found herself reaching for her phone, capturing the small moments that made their date so special. The way his eyes crinkled when he laughed, the sound of his voice as he told her stories from his past.
They spent hours wandering around the arcade, trying out different games and snacking on various treats. It was a perfect day, filled with laughter, joy, and a sense of belonging.
As the sun began to set, they reluctantly made their way back home, their hearts full of happiness and their minds already planning their next adventure together.

Chapter 24. Joyful Reunion
As Pyonie stepped into the hospital room, a sense of unease washed over her. She placed the fruits she had brought on the bedside table, keeping a careful distance from Takeru's bed.
Suddenly, Takeru's eyes fluttered open, his gaze locking onto hers. "Pyonie..."
Still hesitating to step forward, her voice trembling as she spoke. "T-Takeru-san, I... I'm so sorry. This is all my fault."
But then, Takeru's face twisted into a familiar grin, his eyes glinting with mischief. "Don't be scared," he said, his voice taking on a different timbre. "It's me, Sukuna."
Pyonie's eyes widened in shock. "Why are you in Takeru-san's body?" she gasped.
Sukuna chuckled, the sound low and rich. "It seems I have some explaining to do," he said, his gaze never leaving hers.
He paused, his expression turning thoughtful. "This kid Takeru, he liked you a lot, Pyonie. He'll do whatever it takes to make you love him," he said, his tone turning almost reverent. "He's just like me."
Pyonie's heart clenched at his words, a wave of guilt washing over her. "How can you tell?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Sukuna's grin widened, a hint of pride in his eyes. "I can see his past memories. I can access his knowledge and feelings. I even knew you slapped him before he got hit by that truck," he said, his tone matter-of-fact.
Pyonie's face flushed with embarrassment, her eyes darting away as her fingers fidgeted nervously. "I... I didn't mean to—" she mumbled, her voice trailing off. "I... I don't want him to get hurt. But I feel so bad. It's all my fault."
Sukuna's expression softened, his gaze filled with understanding. "These things were bound to happen, Pyonie. And you have nothing to do with it. It's all my doing. I'll take full responsibility," he said, his voice firm and reassuring.
"But how did this happen? Why are you in his body?" she asked eyes filled with curiosity and concern.
Sukuna's eyes narrowed, a hint of confusion crossing his features. "It could be the pendant's power. It sealed our fates together the moment you wore it," he said, his tone thoughtful. "It seems Takeru is bound to be my next reincarnation. It's uncanny how much we're alike, though he's had the luxury of people who cared for him—something I never had. I believe the pendant has a role in retaining my memories as Ryomen Sukuna."
Unable to contain herself any longer, Pyonie rushed forward, throwing her arms around Sukuna. "I love you,  Sukuna," she whispered, her voice muffled against his chest. "I knew it the moment I saw you in Shibuya that my feelings were true. I felt a spark in my heart when I realized you were real and not just a dream... Please don't leave me again."
Sukuna's body tensed beneath her touch, his arms wrapping around her waist in a tight embrace. "It's seems death cannot even separate us." he breathed, his voice rough with emotion. "I swear, I'll never leave you again. Not in this life, or the next."
Pyonie pulled back slightly, her tear-stained face inches from his own. "Can I just call you Ryo-kun?" she asked, her voice soft and hesitant. "I don't feel calling you by someone else's name. Ryo-kun... just like Ryomen Sukuna."
Sukuna's lips curved into a small smile, his eyes softening as he gazed down at her. "Of course," he murmured. "But only you can call me that."
Her heart swelled with emotion, a small smile breaking through her tears, "Thank you, Ryo-kun."
Sukuna's eyes widened, a hint of realization crossing his features. "So this means you've accepted my love." he asked, his voice hopeful.
Pyonie nodded, her heart swelled with emotion and her love for him overwhelming in its intensity. "Takeru's Uncle Hyou thinks I'm his nephew's girlfriend," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "We can just go along with that. But let's keep everything secret for now."
Sukuna's expression turned serious, his gaze intense. "I have to tell you something more," he said, his voice low and urgent. "About the pendant."
Before he could continue, the door to the hospital room burst open, a nurse entering with a clipboard in hand. "Visiting hours are almost over," she said gently, her gaze flickering between Pyonie and Sukuna. "I'll need to do Takeru-san's checks now."
Pyonie reluctantly pulled away from Sukuna, her heart heavy with the knowledge that she had to leave. "I think I need to go now," she whispered, her voice tinged with sadness.
Pyonie stepped back and quickly scribbled her number and email on a piece of paper, pressing it into Sukuna's hand. "You say you have Takeru's knowledge and memories," she whispered, her voice urgent. "Then you can contact me here. Bye, Ryo-kun!"
With that, she squeezed his hand one last time and turned to leave. As she stepped out into the hallway, she couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement for what the future held. *** Hours passed and Pyonie's phone buzzed, startling her out of her thoughts. She glanced at the screen, her heart skipping a beat when she saw Uncle Hyou's name flash across the display. With trembling fingers, she answered the call.
"Hello?" she said, her voice soft and uncertain.
"Pyonie-san, it's Uncle Hyou," came the familiar voice on the other end of the line. "I have some news about Ren."
Pyonie's heart raced, her grip on the phone tightening. "Yes, Uncle Hyou? How is he?"
There was a pause, and then Uncle Hyou's voice came through, filled with wonder and disbelief. "The doctors and nurses are astounded. Ren's body has healed completely, despite the severity of his injuries. Broken bones, damaged organs... it's as if none of it ever happened."
Pyonie's breath caught in her throat, a mix of relief washing over her. "That's... that's incredible," she whispered.
"It is indeed," Uncle Hyou agreed. "The doctors say he's ready to go back to school tomorrow. They can't explain it. It's nothing short of a miracle."
Pyonie nodded, even though Uncle Hyou couldn't see her. "I'm so glad he's okay," she said, her voice thick with emotion.
There was a pause, and then Uncle Hyou's voice took on a thoughtful tone. "You know, Pyonie-san, I've noticed a change in Ren lately. He's become more mature, more responsible. Thank you for taking care of him."
Pyonie's cheeks flushed, a mix of embarrassment and pride washing over her. "I... I don't know what to say, Uncle Hyou. I'm just happy to help however I can."
Uncle Hyou chuckled softly. "Well, whatever you're doing, keep it up."
Pyonie's heart swelled with warmth at Uncle Hyou's words. "I will, Uncle Hyou. I promise."
With a deep breath, Pyonie steeled herself for whatever was to come. Tomorrow, she would see him again, and she knew that their relationship was about to enter a whole new chapter.

Chapter 23. The Delinquent
Rumors swirled through the hallways of Pyonie's school like wildfire, the news of a notorious delinquent making his return. His name was Takeru Ren, a figure known for his fiery red hair, intense eyes, handsome features, and muscular body adorned with intricate tattoos. His reputation preceded him, tales of his involvement in brutal street wars and gang fights echoing through the corridors.
They said he was the sole survivor of a brutal massacre, his friends and enemies alike falling one by one until only he remained standing. They whispered that no one dared to challenge him anymore, for fear of his unmatched strength and ruthless nature.
Despite his notorious history, the school administration had made the decision to allow Takeru to return as a student, with the promise that he would refrain from any further dangerous activities. It was a risky move, one that sent ripples of unease through the faculty and student body alike.
On the first day of Takeru's return, the atmosphere in the classroom was thick with tension. Students eyed him warily, their gazes darting between his intimidating figure and their desks. Takeru, for his part, seemed unfazed by the attention.
As the teacher began the lesson, Takeru's gaze drifted to the girl seated a few rows ahead of him. Pyonie, with her long black hair and kind eyes, seemed to stand out amidst the sea of nervous faces. He found himself drawn to her, his heart beating a little faster whenever she glanced in his direction.
From that day forward, Takeru's feelings for Pyonie only grew stronger. He found himself seeking her out during breaks, his steps slowing as he passed her in the hallways. He longed to talk to her, to understand the warmth and light that seemed to radiate from her very being.
Meanwhile Pyonie found herself stealing glances at him. She had heard the rumors, of course, but seeing him in person was an entirely different experience. There was something about him that she could not understand. She couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to him than meets the eye.
As Pyonie walked home from school, her mind preoccupied with thoughts of her upcoming assignments, a figure emerged from the shadows of the alleyway ahead. It was Takeru Ren, his fiery red hair catching the fading light of the setting sun. Her heart skipped a beat as she recognized him, a mix of curiosity and apprehension coursing through her veins.
Takeru approached her, his steps slow and deliberate. "Hey, Pyonie," he called out, his voice low and smooth. "I was hoping I'd catch you alone. Can we talk for a minute?"
Pyonie paused, her grip tightening on her school bag. "Uh... sure, Takeru-san," she replied, her tone polite but guarded. "What can I do for you?"
Takeru took a step closer, his intense gaze locked on hers. "I wanted to ask you something. Would you like to go out with me?"
Pyonie's eyes widened, her heart racing. "I... I can't," she stammered, her cheeks flushing. "Haven't you heard the rumor going around that anyone who tries to date me ends up in trouble? I don't want that to happen to you."
Takeru's brow furrowed, a flicker of frustration crossing his features. "I don't care about the rumors," he insisted, his voice growing louder. "I like you, Pyonie. I want to be with you."
She shook her head, her heart aching at the disappointment in his voice. "No, Takeru-san..."
Takeru's expression hardened, a shadow of anger passing over his face. "Is it because of my reputation? Because of the things people say about me?"
Pyonie's eyes widened, taken aback by the sudden intensity of his question. "I'm sorry, but I can't be with you. I can't risk putting you in danger."
Takeru's expression softened, a hint of vulnerability peeking through his tough exterior. "Pyonie, listen to me. I'm trying to change, to be better. I promise you, I won't be involved in anything risky or dangerous anymore."
Pyonie, feeling uncomfortable, tried to walk away but Takeru grabbed her arm. She flinched at his touch, a surge of fear coursing through her veins. In a moment of desperation and fear, she raised her hand and delivered a sharp slap across his cheek. Takeru reeled back, his hand instinctively reaching for his reddening cheek.
The screech of tires and the blaring of horns pierced the air as a truck careened onto the street, its driver losing control. Pyonie watched in horror as the vehicle barreled towards Takeru, who stood frozen in shock from her slap.
Time seemed to slow as the truck collided with Takeru's body, sending him flying through the air. The sickening sound of metal crunching against flesh filled the air, followed by an eerie silence.
Pyonie stood rooted to the spot, her thoughts spiraling into chaos. This couldn't be happening.
Someone had already called for an ambulance, the wail of sirens echoing through the streets as emergency vehicles raced towards the scene. Pyonie snapped out of her trance, rushing to Takeru's side.
The ambulance arrived, paramedics swarming around Takeru's motionless form. They worked quickly, loading him onto a stretcher and rushing him into the vehicle. Pyonie followed close behind, her heart pounding in her chest.
At the hospital, she paced the waiting room, her mind a whirlwind of guilt and fear. She had never felt so helpless, so responsible for someone else's suffering.
Suddenly, the doors to the waiting room burst open, and a man stormed in. He had the same fiery hair as Takeru, though it was shorter and slightly tousled, as if he'd been running his hands through it in worry. His face was soft, with a gentle expression that made him seem approachable. He had a lean build, his relaxed posture betraying the anxiety he felt.
"Where is he? Where's my nephew?" he asked urgently, his gaze landing on Pyonie.
Pyonie stood up, wiping away her tears. "They're doing everything they can," she managed to say, her voice choked with emotion.
The man's shoulders sagged and he looked at Pyonie, "You must be his girlfriend. I'm his Uncle Hyou."
She opened her mouth to protest, to explain that she wasn't Takeru's girlfriend, but the words died on her tongue. How could she admit the truth, that she had rejected him, that this was all her fault?
The man, Takeru's uncle Hyou, placed a hand on her shoulder. "Ren needs someone like you in his life. He's been through so much, lost so many friends," he said, his voice heavy with emotion. "His parents left him when he was a kid. I'm the only one who looks after him now."
Pyonie felt a lump form in her throat. She knew she couldn't abandon Takeru now, not when he needed her most.
Hours passed, each minute feeling like an eternity as they waited for any news on Takeru's condition. Finally, a doctor emerged from the operating room, his face grim. "His condition is critical," he said, his voice flat and emotionless. "We've done everything we can, but it's up to him now."
Uncle Hyou nodded, "I'll stay with him," he said kindly, a gentle warmth in his tone. "Pyonie, you may go home now and rest. Thank you for being here for him."
In the days following the accident, Pyonie found herself drawn to the hospital, her heart heavy with guilt and worry. Each morning, she would make her way in front of Takeru's room, her steps burdened by the depth of her emotions.
One afternoon, Uncle Hyou approached her, his face etched with concern. "Pyonie-san," he said, his voice low and urgent. "Ren, he... he had a cardiac arrest."
Pyonie's heart stopped, her blood running cold at his words. "Is he... is he going to be okay?" she asked.
Uncle Hyou nodded, a glimmer of hope in his eyes. "By some miracle, the doctors were able to revive him. He's stable now, but... he's asking for you."
Pyonie's breath caught in her throat. "I... I can't," she stammered. If it wasn't for me, none of this would have happened."
Uncle Hyou's expression softened, his gaze filled with understanding. "Pyonie-san, listen to me. Ren, he needs you. He's been through so much, and he's looking to you for comfort."
Pyonie hesitated. She looked into Uncle Hyou's eyes, seeing the genuine plea in his gaze.
With a shaky breath, she nodded. "Okay," she whispered, her voice barely audible. "I'll go see him."
Uncle Hyou smiled, giving her shoulder a gentle squeeze. "Thank you, Pyonie-san. I know he'll be glad to see you."

Chapter 22. Devastating News
Months passed, and the world slowly returned to a semblance of normalcy. The government worked tirelessly tore build the cities that had been ravaged by the curse spirits, and a sense of peace settled over the land once more.
One day, Pyonie found herself online, searching for answers in obscure internet forums. She typed out a message, her fingers trembling slightly as she hit send.
"Does anyone know anything about cursed objects or jujutsu sorcerers? I... I think I might have encountered something like that."
To her surprise, a response came almost immediately. It was from Kasumi Miwa, a jujutsu sorcerer student from Kyoto Jujutsu High. They arranged to meet at a cafe in Tokyo.
Pyonie arrived at the cafe, her heart pounding in her chest. She spotted Miwa at a table, her long, light blue hair falling past her shoulders and framing her forehead and gentle, kind face. Gathering her courage, Pyonie approached hesitantly. "You must be Pyonie," Miwa said, her eyes studying Pyonie intently.
Pyonie nodded, sliding into the seat across from her. "Yes, that's me. Thank you for agreeing to meet."
As Pyonie sat across from Miwa, she took the pendant out of the box to recount her tale. "This is the pendant my aunt gave me," she explained, holding it out for Miwa to examine. "When I put it on, it transported me back in time, to the Heian era."
Miwa's eyes widened as she took the pendant, turning it over in her hands. "Fascinating," she murmured, her brow furrowing in concentration. "It's emitting some sort of powerful energy, but it's not cursed. In fact, it seems quite harmless."
Pyonie took a deep breath, pouring out her story. "It's a long story, but basically, this pendant brought me back to the Heian era. And that's where I met Sukuna, the King of Curses."
Miwa's eyes widened, her jaw dropping in shock. "Sukuna? As in Ryomen Sukuna? The King of Curses. The one with four arms and four eyes?!"
Pyonie nodded, a hint of pride in her voice. "Yes, that's him. You know him?"
Miwa hesitated, her gaze shifting to the side. "Yeah... I mean, everyone in the jujutsu world knows about him. He was involved in the destruction and deaths of many civilians during the Shibuya Incident. We also lost a lot of comrades. But it wasn't just him; there were many others involved too."
Pyonie's heart clenched at the news. "I'm so sorry, I didn't know," she whispered, her voice barely audible. "What happened?"
Miwa took a deep breath, her expression serious. "If you're asking about Sukuna specifically, he was defeated."
Pyonie felt as though her world was crumbling around her. Sukuna, gone? It couldn't be true. But looking at Miwa's expression, she knew it was. She had known Sukuna wouldn't be on the side of the good guys, but hearing the confirmation of his defeat still shattered her heart.
Miwa studied Pyonie's face, noting the pain etched in her features. "But what was exactly your relationship with him?"
Pyonie hesitated, a lie forming on her tongue. "I... I served for him for some months back in the Heian period. I didn't have anywhere else to go, and I needed help at that time..."
She took the pendant from Miwa, her voice tinged with regret. "I'm sorry for wasting your time. I'll keep the pendant."
Just then, a familiar figure passed by the cafe. It was Yuji Itadori, the vessel Sukuna had used in the modern era. He greeted Miwa, and his eyes fell on Pyonie.
"Wait, you look familiar," Yuji said, stepping closer. "Yes, I remember. Sukuna kissed you in the subway station. He must have known you well."
Pyonie's cheeks flushed with embarrassment, her heart racing. "How did you know?"
Yuji chuckled awkwardly. "Well, you see, he was using my body at that time."
Pyonie's eyes widened, her mind reeling. She quickly stood up, her chair scraping against the floor. "You're Itadori Yuji? I'm so sorry... I have to leave now."
"Wait—" Yuji called after her, but Pyonie was already hurrying out of the cafe, her heart pounding in her chest.
Miwa turned to Yuji, her brow furrowed. "What did you just say?"
Yuji looked at her with confusion. "Huh?"
"You said Sukuna kissed her?!" Miwa exclaimed, her voice rising in pitch.
Yuji shifted uncomfortably. "Uh yeah... I assumed they used to be lovers..."
Miwa sighed, her mind racing with the implications of Pyonie's story. "But she seemed to know nothing about what happened. She was telling me about the pendant that brought her to the Heian era, and how it led her to meet Sukuna."
Yuji's brow furrowed. "Do you think she was a victim by chance? I don't sense anything wrong or dangerous about her."
Miwa nodded slowly. "If she's involved, she wouldn't ask openly about it. The higher-ups would certainly keep an eye on her, or worse, put her life in danger if they discovered her relationship with Sukuna."
The two jujutsu sorcerers exchanged a meaningful glance, a silent agreement passing between them. They would keep Pyonie's secret, for now.
Pyonie rushed out of the cafe with her face flushed. Yuji Itadori—the vessel Sukuna had used—had seen everything. Oh, the embarrassment!
Her trembling fingers clutched the pendant tightly. Was it truly a curse or a blessing? She couldn't decide. All she knew was that the memories and feelings she had experienced with Sukuna, no matter how painful, were impossible to let go of. Pyonie stared at the pendant as tears welled up in her eyes. If Sukuna was truly gone, she would have to move on. She had to learn to live in a world where he was nothing more than a memory—a bittersweet fragment of her past.

Chapter 21. The Incident in Shibuya
The night of October 31st, 2018, was supposed to be a fun Halloween celebration for Pyonie and her friends. They had planned to meet up in Shibuya, where the biggest party was happening. But Pyonie, in her excitement, had arrived too early. Her friends, who were supposed to follow, missed the next subway trip due to a reported commotion in Shibuya.
Wearing a cat ear headband, Pyonie found herself alone in the crowded streets, surrounded by revelers in elaborate costumes. Suddenly, screams erupted from all around her.
Fear seized her as the crowd began to push and surge in panic. Worried about a potential stampede, Pyonie ran away to isolate herself, her heart racing with every step. Once she reached a quieter area, she began looking for help, hoping to find authorities who could explain what was happening. But every officer or staff member she encountered seemed equally confused or had vanished in the chaos.
With no answers and nowhere to turn, she continued running until she stumbled into an empty subway station. Her feet echoed against the concrete as she descended the stairs, her breaths shallow and quick. She tried calling her parents and friends, but there was no signal wherever she went.
"Please," she whispered, her voice trembling. "Please, let this be over soon."
But the night was far from over. Monsters in various grotesque forms suddenly appeared. People ran in terror as these creatures attacked anyone in sight. Pyonie hid in a corner, her knees drawn up to her chest, her eyes squeezed shut, praying for a miracle.
The dark subway station was eerily silent, save for the distant echoes of chaos and destruction.  Suddenly, Pyonie's heart raced as she spotted a sinister human figure approaching her.
Pyonie's eyes widened in fear as the figure advanced toward her with deliberate, measured steps. She shrank back, her hands trembling. "Who- who are you?" she stammered, her voice barely above a whisper.
The figure stopped, his red eyes glowing in the darkness. "Pyonie?" he said, his voice soft with disbelief.
Pyonie blinked, her brow furrowing in confusion. "S-sorry..." Pyonie stammered nervously. "Who- who are you? D-do I know you?"
Sukuna slowly walked towards her, his eyes never leaving hers. His presence was both familiar and unnerving—broad shoulders carried an air of dominance, while his sharp, crimson eyes glowed with a predatory intensity. His soft pink hair, tousled and spiked, framed his face, with black, jagged tattoos snaking across his skin. Slowly, he reached out, his fingertips brushing against her cheek, the touch surprisingly warm and gentle. Pyonie flinched slightly at the unexpected contact but didn’t pull away, her breath hitching as he cupped her face with both hands. His thumbs traced the curve of her cheeks, as if confirming she was real.
To her shock, Sukuna leaned down, his lips brushing against her forehead in a tender kiss.
"It's me, Ryomen Sukuna," he whispered, his tone low and soft, carrying a weight of longing. "We met in the Heian era. I never thought I'd see you again—not here, not like this. Do you remember me?"
Recognition dawned on Pyonie's face, her eyes widening in shock. "Sukuna?" she breathed, her voice trembling. "Is that really you? You look... different... more human..."
Sukuna nodded, his expression grim. "Long story short, I was revived in this era by this kid Yuji Itadori. I am currently trapped in his body."
"You- you are using someone else's body?" Pyonie asked, her voice trembling.
"Technically speaking, yes," Sukuna replied.
"What's happening? Why is there so much destruction?" Pyonie asked, her heart pounding in her chest.
Sukuna sighed, running a hand through his hair. "This place is about to become a battlefield. Cursed spirits, jujutsu sorcerers... it's a long story."
Pyonie bit her lip, gathering her courage. "Sukuna, I can see cursed spirits. But somehow, my mere presence drives them away."
Sukuna’s gaze darkened, his tone steady and firm. "I know," he said, his voice low. "You carry a fragment of my cursed energy. It shields you with my protection."
Pyonie's brow furrowed, a sudden realization hitting her. "But somehow it causes harm to people who want to be romantically involved with me."
Sukuna's expression softened, a hint of regret in his eyes. "It seems even now, a part of me refuses to let anyone else claim what used to be mine."
"So it's not the pendant that caused it?" Pyonie asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Sukuna frowned, confusion etched on his face. "The pendant?" he repeated. "I destroyed it. After that, you disappeared, hoping it would return you to your world."
Pyonie shook her head, her eyes wide with disbelief. "But it's still with me. It's intact. No sign of damage. I kept it in a box back home."
Sukuna's eyes narrowed, a flicker of understanding passing over his features. "I see... but I need to bring you to safety first."
Without another word, Sukuna scooped Pyonie up in his arms, carrying her swiftly through the dark subway tunnels. They emerged onto an abandoned street, where jujutsu sorcerers were patrolling, scanning for threats or lost civilians.
Sukuna set Pyonie down gently, his hand lingering on her shoulder for a moment. "Find someone from Jujutsu High. Ask for their help so you can return home soon."
Pyonie's heart clenched at the thought of leaving Sukuna again. Tears welled up in her eyes as she grabbed his arm, her voice shaking with emotion. "Will I see you again?"
Sukuna's expression softened, a flicker of longing in his eyes. But it was quickly replaced by a mask of determination. "I am not sure, Pyonie. When you return, stay close to your family and friends. My cursed energy flowing from you will protect them too."
He reached out, cupping her face gently, his thumb brushing away a stray tear. "I have to go."
Pyonie's heart shattered at his words, a sob escaping her lips. "Sukuna..."
But Sukuna was already turning away, his form blurring and shifting as he prepared to leave. "As long as you're safe and happy, that's enough for me."
With those final words, he vanished, leaving Pyonie alone. She stood there for along moment, tears streaming down her face, her heart heavy with grief and longing. She finally knew those dreams where real memories of hers back in the Heian period.
But she knew she couldn't stay there forever. Taking a deep, shuddering breath, she turned to the jujutsu sorcerers nearby. For now, she had to focus on getting home. And maybe, just maybe, if fate was kind, their paths would cross again someday.

Chapter 20. School and Curses
The day finally arrived for her to start her new life as a regular student. She woke up early, her heart fluttering with nervous excitement. After a quick breakfast, she bid farewell to her parents and set off for school.
On her way to school, she noticed something following her. It was a Shiba Inu puppy, its reddish-brown fur gleaming in the sunlight.
The puppy's tail wagged as it caught sight of Pyonie, and it bounded over to her, nuzzling her hand with its wet nose. Pyonie giggled, patting the puppy's head. "Well hello there," she cooed. "Aren't you just the cutest thing?"
She looked around, wondering if anyone had lost the puppy, but there was no one in sight. With a sigh, she stood up, check her watch and ran all the way to school.
The campus was bustling with activity as students rushed to their classes. Pyonie made her way to her homeroom, her mind racing with thoughts of what the day might bring.
When the final bell rang, Pyonie gathered her things, preparing to head home. But as she stepped outside, she was surprised to see the puppy waiting for her by the school gates, its tail wagging excitedly.
Pyonie's heart swelled with affection. She knew she couldn't leave the little dog behind, not when it had already captured her heart so completely.
"Come on, Ponpon," she said, naming the puppy after the fox cub she had loved so dearly in her dreams. "Let's go home."
And with that, she set off, the little Shiba Inu trotting happily by her side, ready to begin a new life together. ***
"Hey, Pyonie!" a cheerful voice called out, startling her from her thoughts. She turned to see her classmate Tomoko, her long black hair tied back with a colorful headband, walking towards her with a warm smile.
"Oh, hi Tomoko," Pyonie replied, returning the smile. "How are you feeling today?"
Tomoko's face fell slightly." Not so great, actually," she admitted. "I've been feeling really tired and run down lately. I don't know what's wrong with me."
Pyonie's eyes widened as she glanced over Tomoko's shoulder. There, clinging to her back, was a large, writhing maggot-like creature. It seemed to be sucking the life force right out of Tomoko's body.
Pyonie swallowed hard, fighting the urge to gasp in horror. She knew she shouldn't be able to see such things, but there it was, as plain as day.
"I'm sorry to hear that," she said softly, trying to keep her voice steady. "Maybe you should see a doctor, just to be safe."
Tomoko nodded, looking glum."Yeah, I did but they saw nothing wrong."
As they walked to class together, Pyonie couldn't help but steal glances at the cursed spirit. It seemed to be growing more agitated, writhing and squirming as if in discomfort.
She placed a comforting hand on her friend's shoulder, giving it a light pat. Suddenly, a strange sensation washed over Pyonie. She felt a surge of energy flowing through her body, and the cursed spirit let out a high-pitched screech before detaching itself from Tomoko and scurrying away.
Tomoko stopped and stood still for a while.
"What'wrong?" Pyonie replied innocently, though her heart was pounding in her chest.
Tomoko rolled her shoulders slowly. "I... I just feel lighter as if a heavy load was taken off my shoulders."
Over the next few weeks, Pyonie and Tomoko grew closer, spending more and more time together. And each time they were together, Tomoko seemed to feel better, her energy and vitality returning in full force.
One day, as they sat together in the school courtyard, Tomoko turned to Pyonie with a curious expression. "You know," she said, "I've been feeling so much better lately, especially when I'm with you. It's like you have some kind of healing power or something."
Pyonie blushed, looking down at her hands. "I don't know about that," she mumbled. "I'm just glad you're feeling better."
Tomoko reached out, taking Pyonie's hand in hers. "I'm serious," she said, her eyes shining with gratitude. "You've been such a good friend to me, Pyonie. I don't know what I'd do without you."
Pyonie squeezed Tomoko's hand, her heart swelling with affection. She knew she couldn't tell her the truth, couldn't reveal the dark secrets she harbored. But she also knew that she would always be there for her friend, no matter what they faced together. ***
As Pyonie and Tomoko walked through the school hallways one day, they bumped into Naoki, their shy classmate with short dark brown hair and glasses. Naoki was juggling a stack of books, struggling to keep them from toppling over.
"Hi Naoki," Pyonie greeted her with a warm smile. "Let me help you with those." She took some of the books from Naoki's arms, steadying the precarious pile.
Naoki blushed, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "Thanks, Pyonie," she mumbled, adjusting her glasses. "I'm always so clumsy. I don't know why I'm always having such bad luck."
Pyonie's gaze drifted to the slimy, blob-like curse spirit perched atop Naoki's head, pulsing and oozing a sickly green substance. She shuddered slightly, but forced a reassuring smile.
"I'm sure it's just a phase," Pyonie said gently. "Everyone has ups and downs. Why don't you join us for lunch?"
Naoki hesitated, biting her lip. "I don't know..."
Tomoko chimed in, "Come on, Naoki! It'll be fun. Plus, Pyonie here has a knack for cheering people up. She's like a good luck charm!"
Naoki's eyes widened, a glimmer of hope sparking in their depths. "Really? You think so?"
Pyonie nodded, giving Naoki's arm a friendly squeeze. "Come on, let's go grab some food."
As they made their way to the cafeteria, Pyonie couldn't help but notice how the curse spirit on Naoki's head seemed to shrink and shrivel, as if sensing her presence. By the time they sat down to eat, the blob had vanished completely.
Naoki looked around, confused. "This feels weird but...," she said, her voice filled with wonder. "It's as if the dark clouds surrounding me has faded away."
Tomoko grinned, reaching over to high-five Pyonie. "Told ya she's a good luck charm!"
And so, the three girls became inseparable, their bond growing stronger with each passing day. Pyonie found herself looking forward to school more and more, eager to spend time with her new best friends.
As Pyonie lay in bed that night, her mind raced with questions. The pendant her Aunt M had given her - could it be the source of her ability to see cursed spirits? The one that had transported her to the Heian era in her dreams? What was about it that scared the cursed spirits away?  She reached up, running her fingers over the cool red metal. The pendant had been a mystery to her for as long as she could remember. Her aunt had never told her exactly where it came from or what it meant.
She thought back to the Heian era, to the cursed spirit that had attacked her in the forest. These spirits she saw on her classmates looked eerily similar. Coincidence? Or was there a deeper connection?
All she knew was whenever she was near someone who was suffering from a curse, she could feel the spirits growing agitated, as if they were afraid of her very presence. They would writhe and squirm, their forms becoming distorted and grotesque, until finally, they would flee.
Pyonie's fingers flew across the keyboard as she searched for information on Heian era artifacts. Talismans, she read, were used to ward off evil spirits and curses. But the pendant her aunt had given her was unlike anything she'd seen in her research. Where had it come from? What was its true purpose?
Frustration mounted as she hit dead end after dead end in her online search. So much of Heian history seemed lost to time, forgotten knowledge locked away in dusty tomes or hidden in secret archives. Pyonie sighed, her head starting to throb. She needed answers, but they seemed impossibly out of reach.
Whatever secrets it held, whatever power it possessed, Pyonie knew one thing for certain - it had chosen her for a reason. And until she unraveled that mystery, she would keep the pendant close, a constant reminder of the incredible journey that had brought her here, and the strange new path that lay ahead. ***
As the months passed, Pyonie found herself settling into a comfortable routine at school. She had made new friends and was enjoying her classes, but lately, something strange had been happening. Whenever someone confessed their feelings or asked her out, they would soon after experience some sort of minor accident or bad luck. It started with small incidents - a boy who confessed his feelings to her tripping and falling down the stairs, a classmate who asked her out suddenly coming down with a mysterious illness.
At first, Pyonie brushed it off as mere coincidence. She was grateful for the indirect rejections, as she wasn't interested in dating anyone at the moment. But as the incidents continued to pile up, she started to feel uneasy. It wasn't fair to the those involved.
Pyonie found herself at a loss. She confided in her best friends, Tomoka and Naomi, during their lunch break.
"I don't get it," Tomoka said, shaking her head. "You're not doing anything wrong. How could this be happening?"
Naomi nodded in agreement. "Yeah, it's not like you're cursing them or something."
Pyonie sighed, running a hand through her hair. "I know. But I can't help but feel like I'm somehow responsible."
As they talked, a sudden realization hit Pyonie. The pendant her aunt had given her - could it be the cause of all this? Could the pendant be exerting some sort of influence, even now?
That night, after school, Pyonie carefully removed the pendant from her neck.
"Please," she whispered, her voice cracking with emotion. "Please, if you're listening, whoever you are... stop this. I don't want anyone to get hurt because of me."
With a shaky breath, she closed the box, sealing the pendant inside. She didn't know if it would make a difference, but she had to try. She couldn't live with the guilt any longer, knowing that her mere presence was causing harm to those around her.

Chapter 19. Was it all a Dream?
Pyonie's eyes fluttered open, her mind still hazy with the remnants of her dreams. She blinked, rubbing her eyes, trying to clear the fog that seemed to linger in her brain. As she looked around, her heart skipped a beat. She was sitting at her desk, in her own room, surrounded by the familiar comforts of home.
For a moment, she wondered if it had all been a dream. The Heian era, Sukuna, the curses, the miscarriage... had it all been nothing more than a figment of her imagination?
She walked to the window, gazing out at the sky. The sun was setting, painting the clouds in shades of orange and pink.
Just then, the doorbell rang, and Pyonie's parents walked in, their faces lit up with smiles. "Happy birthday, sweetie!" they exclaimed, rushing forward to hug her tightly.
Pyonie hugged them back, tears pricking at her eyes. It felt like it had been so long since she had seen them, since she had felt the warmth of their embrace.
"Thank you mom, dad," she whispered, her voice choked with emotion.
As they pulled away, her mother, with soft black hair that framed her face in a gentle bob and the same warm purple eyes as Pyonie, noticed the pendant hanging around her neck. Her eyes widened with delight as she gazed at it. "Oh, Pyonie," she said, her voice filled with warmth. "Is that the gift from your Aunt M?"
Pyonie nodded, reaching up to touch the pendant. "Yes," she said softly. "I just received the package this morning."
Her father, a tall man with neatly combed grey hair and glasses perched on his nose, smiled as he ruffled her hair affectionately. "It's beautiful," he said, his deep voice warm yet firm. "Just like you."
Pyonie felt a lump in her throat, her heart swelling with love and gratitude. She wondered if she should tell them about her dreams, about the strange world she had found herself in, but somehow, she decided to keep it all to herself.
"Come on," her mother said, taking her hand. "Let’s go out for dinner—your favorite restaurant is waiting for us!"
Pyonie nodded, allowing herself to be led out of the room. As she stepped out into the hallway, she couldn't shake the feeling that something was missing, that a part of her was still back in that other world.
But for now, she pushed those thoughts aside, focusing instead on the warmth of her family's love, the promise of a delicious meal, and the simple joy of being home.
As they settled into their seats at the restaurant, Pyonie's parents turned to her, their faces glowing with excitement. "We have some wonderful news," her mother said, leaning forward eagerly. "You've been accepted into a school in Tokyo!"
Pyonie's eyes widened, her heart leaping with joy. "Really?" she breathed, hardly daring to believe it. "I get to go to a real school?"
Her father nodded, smiling broadly. "Yes, sweetheart," he said. "You'll start next month, and we're so proud of you."
Pyonie felt tears of happiness welling up in her eyes. She had always been protected and homeschooled since she was a child. Now, she would be going to a regular school, making friends, and learning new things—and that dream was finally coming true. As they ate their meal, Pyonie couldn't help but think about her dream, about the strange world she had found herself in. Even as she laughed and talked with her parents, the memories seemed to linger in the back of her mind, refusing to fade away.
When they got home, Pyonie excused herself, saying she needed to freshen up before bed. But once in her room, she sat down at her desk, pulling out her diary. With trembling hands, she began to write, pouring out all her thoughts and feelings about the Heian era and the people she had met there.
She wrote about Sukuna, the King of Curses—her captor, her teacher, her protector—with his four arms and four eyes. She wrote about his strength, his obsession, and his passionate love, recalling all the terrifying and wonderful memories. She wrote about Uraume, his loyal servant, always ready with a helping hand. And she wrote about Ponpon, the little fox cub, with his soft fur and playful spirit.
As she wrote, she felt a feeling of connection to something greater than herself. She knew that her experiences in that other world had changed her, had shaped her in ways she couldn't yet fully understand.
In the days that followed, Pyonie threw herself into researching the Heian period, determined to learn everything she could about the culture and the customs of that time. She devoured books and articles, scouring the internet for any scrap of information she could find.
But when it came to the subject of jujutsu sorcerers, she found herself coming up empty-handed. There were mentions of them here and there, vague references to mysterious warriors with supernatural powers, but nothing concrete, nothing that could help her make sense of what she had seen.

Chapter 18. Loss and Grief
Sukuna burst into the house, his face lined with worry and concern. He had been away for days tending to his usual activities in other villages. But as soon as he stepped into the main room, he knew something was wrong.
"Pyonie?" he called out, his voice echoing through the empty halls. "Where are you?"
Pyonie heard his voice but she was too weak to move. She whimpered, clutching at her abdomen.
Sukuna ran to her side, his eyes wide with alarm. "Pyonie," he gasped, his voice filled with fear and concern. "What's wrong?"
Uraume stepped forward, bowing his head respectfully. "Lord Sukuna," he said, his voice low and serious. "Lady Pyonie has been ill for days. She has a high fever and has been bleeding."
Sukuna's heart seized with panic. "Bleeding?" he repeated, his voice barely above a whisper.
Uraume nodded. "Yes, Lord Sukuna. We fear it may be a miscarriage."
Sukuna's eyes widened, his face draining of color. "Miscarriage?" he gasped, his voice cracking with emotion.
Pyonie looked up at him, fear etched across her tear-streaked face. "I'm scared, Sukuna," she whispered, her voice trembling.
Sukuna knelt beside her, taking her hand in his own. "What happened?" he asked, his voice gentle but firm.
Pyonie hesitated, the lie forming on her tongue. "I...I fell," she said softly, averting her gaze. "I was clumsy, and I fell."
"We need to call a physician," Sukuna said, his voice filled with determination. "We need to make sure you and the baby are alright."
A lady physician arrived a few hours later, examining Pyonie thoroughly. After a long and painful examination, she finally spoke, her voice soft yet firm. "Miss," she said gently, but with undeniable certainty, "I’m afraid the miscarriage is confirmed." Pyonie's heart shattered, her world crumbling around her. She sobbed, her body wracked with pain and grief.
Sukuna sat on the edge of the bed, his crimson eyes dark with an unspoken weight. "Pyonie," his tone filled with quiet sorrow. "I'm so sorry."  He reached out, his hand brushing against her hair before settling gently on her head. His gaze, filled with a quiet but piercing pain, never left her face. He didn’t speak further, letting his presence and touch offer the comfort words could not.
Before leaving, the lady physician completed a few medical procedures, prescribed medicine and advised rest. After a few days, Pyonie's fever finally subsided. But the pain in her heart remained, a constant reminder of the child she had lost. ***
Pyonie lay in bed, her eyes dark and haunted, her body thin and frail.
Every night, she was plagued by nightmares. She saw her unborn child, its tiny face twisted in pain, its small hands reaching out for her. She saw Yorozu's face, contorted with rage and jealousy, her fists pounding into her stomach. She saw the frozen corpses in the storage room, their eyes wide with terror, their mouths frozen in silent screams. And she saw Sukuna, his face twisted with fury, his eyes blazing with the desire to kill anyone who dared to harm her.
She would wake up screaming, her body drenched in sweat, her heart pounding in her chest. She would cling to the sheets, sobbing uncontrollably, her mind reeling with the horror of what she had seen.
During the day, she wandered through the house like a ghost, her eyes vacant and distant. She refused to eat, abandoned anything that used to bring her joy. Ponpon would whimper and whine, sensing her distress, but Pyonie barely noticed.
Sometimes, she would break down out of nowhere, collapsing to the floor and sobbing uncontrollably. She would call out for her parents, her voice filled with despair and longing. She would apologize for everything, for being a burden, for not being strong enough.
Sukuna watched her with growing concern, his heart aching for her pain. He found her journal one day, filled with dark, depressing poems and thoughts of death. He felt a chill run down his spine as he read the words, seeing the depth of her despair.
"Uraume," he said, his voice shaking with emotion. "What's happening to her?"
Uraume sighed, his eyes filled with sympathy. "It could be the effects of the miscarriage, Lord Sukuna," he said softly. "The loss of her unborn child, the trauma she experienced... it's taking a toll on her mind and body."
Sukuna nodded, his jaw clenched with frustration and fear. "We can't let her slip away," he said, his voice firm. "We have to find a way to bring her back to us."
That night, as Pyonie lay in bed, her eyes closed and her breath shallow, Sukuna slipped in beside her. He pulled her close, his strong arms wrapping around her frail body, his warmth seeping into her cold skin.
"Pyonie," he whispered, his voice thick with emotion. "I love you. I have always loved you, from the moment I first saw you."
Pyonie stirred, her eyes fluttering open. She looked up at him, her gaze filled with confusion and pain. "Sukuna," she whispered, her voice hoarse. "Why did you have to take me by force? Why couldn't you have just shown me kindness?"
Sukuna's heart clenched, guilt and shame washing over him. "I was greedy," he admitted, his voice raw. "I wanted you, and I took you without considering the consequences."
She sighed, her eyes closing once more. "I would have loved you," she said softly. "If you had given me the chance to know you, to fall for you on my own terms."
Sukuna nodded, his throat tightening with emotion. "I was a fool, and I hurt you," he whispered. "I am so sorry, my love."
Pyonie turned to face him, her eyes searching his face. "Do you have a family, Sukuna?" she asked, her voice filled with curiosity.
Sukuna's eyes darkened, a shadow passing over his face. "No," he said, his voice cold. "I was an unwanted child, born to a mother who never loved me. No one who truly cares for me."
Pyonie's heart ached for him, for the pain and loneliness he must have endured. "I'm sorry," she whispered, reaching up to touch his cheek. "I'm sorry I judged you so harshly. I didn't know your story."
Sukuna leaned into her touch, his eyes closing briefly. "It's alright," he said softly. "You don't have to understand, but know that I love you, Pyonie. I will do anything to make it up to you."
Pyonie nodded silently, her eyes filling with tears.
Sukuna sat by Pyonie's bedside, watching her sleep. Her face was still pale and drawn, but in slumber, she seemed at peace. He reached out, gently brushing a strand of hair from her forehead, his heart heavy with affection for her vulnerability. With a somber expression, he opened her journal, flipping through the pages filled with her beautiful, haunting poetry. But one page caught his eye, a passage he had never seen before:
"Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast;  it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things."
Sukuna's breath caught in his throat. These words, written by Pyonie's delicate hand, spoke of a love that was pure and true, a love that he had never known. A love that he feared he could never give her in this world of darkness and cruelty.
As he read the words over and over, a terrible realization washed over him. Pyonie, with her gentle heart and pure soul, was not meant for this world. She was a flower blooming in a field of thorns, destined to wither and die under the weight of the evil that surrounded them.
He thought of the curses that lurked in the shadows, the diseases that ravaged the land, the constant threat of danger that hung over them like a dark cloud. How could he protect her from it all? How could he keep her safe and happy in a world that was so full of suffering?
The more he thought about it, the more he realized that he couldn't. No matter how hard he tried, no matter how many enemies he slew, there would always be something else waiting to tear her apart. And in the end, it would be his own selfishness that had condemned her to a life of misery and despair.
Sukuna closed the journal, his heart heavy with the weight of his decision. He knew what he had to do, even though it would break his heart to do it.
He leaned down, pressing a gentle kiss to Pyonie's forehead. "I'm sorry, my love," he whispered, his voice thick with emotion. "I'm so sorry."
Then, with his soul aching, he stood up and walked away, leaving her to sleep peacefully, unaware of the choice he had made, the sacrifice he was willing to bear for her sake. To be continued... <<Previous Chapter || Next Chapter>> Cover + Table of Contents

Chapter 17. Pain and Fear
Three months had passed in the blink of an eye. Pyonie had lost track of time, so caught up in the daily routines and moments of joy she shared with Sukuna. The deal they had made, for her to make Sukuna hate her within three months so he would set her free, had slipped from her mind entirely.
One morning, as she was getting dressed, Pyonie noticed something strange. Her stomach, which had always been flat and toned, had started to swell and round out. It was a subtle change at first, something that she could easily dismiss as bloating or weight gain.
Her heart began to race as the realization dawned on her. She had missed her monthly periods since she arrived in Heian-kyo, but she had assumed it was just a side effect of the stress and upheaval of her new life.
Oh god, she thought, her hands flying to her mouth. What if she was pregnant? What if Sukuna's seed had taken root inside her, growing and thriving without her even knowing?
Tears pricked at the corners of her eyes as the weight of the situation sank in. She was in a foreign world, far from everything and everyone she had ever known. And now, she might be carrying Sukuna's child.
A part of her felt a flicker of joy at the thought, a sense of wonder and amazement. She couldn't deny that she had taken a liking to Sukuna. But another part of her felt trapped, overwhelmed by the enormity of the decision before her.
She placed a hand on her stomach, feeling the swell beneath her fingertips. If she was pregnant, she knew that she couldn't leave. She couldn't abandon her child, couldn't tear it away from its father. She needed Sukuna, needed his protection and support.
But did Sukuna even want a child? She thought of the future, of the child that would grow inside her. Would it be a boy or a girl? Would it inherit Sukuna's strength and power? Or would it be a curse, a reminder of the terrible things that had been done to her?
She didn't know the answers to any of these questions. She wiped her tears away, taking a deep, shuddering breath. She stood up, her mind made up. She had to talk to Sukuna, had to tell him the truth. No matter what happened, no matter how he reacted, she would find a way to raise this child, to give it the love and care that it deserved. ***
Pyonie was sitting in the main room, folding clothes and waiting for Sukuna's return. Her mind was racing with thoughts of how to break the news to him, of the future that lay ahead of them.
Suddenly, the door burst open, startling Pyonie out of her thoughts. She turned to see a woman standing in the doorway, her eyes blazing with anger and jealousy.
"Who are you?" the woman demanded, her voice sharp and accusing. "What are you doing in Sukuna's house?"
Pyonie stood up slowly, her heart pounding in her chest. "I...I'm Pyonie," she stammered, trying to find the right words. "I'm Sukuna's..."
"His what?" the woman sneered, cutting her off. "His lover? His mistress? You're trying to steal him away from me, aren't you?"
Pyonie shook her head, trying to deny it, but the woman wasn't listening. She strode forward, her hands balled into fists at her sides.
Pyonie backed away, her eyes wide with fear. This woman was Yorozu and she saw her once trying to seduce Sukuna but failed.
"Please," Pyonie pleaded, her voice trembling. "You're mistaken, I'm not... I..."
But the woman wasn't listening. She lunged forward, grabbing Pyonie by the hair and pulling her close. Pyonie cried out in pain, feeling the woman's nails digging into her scalp.
"You're nothing," the woman hissed, her face inches from Pyonie's. "You're weak. You don't deserve him."
With a sudden, violent movement, the woman slammed her fist into Pyonie's stomach, knocking the wind out of her. Pyonie crumpled to the ground, gasping for air, tears streaming down her face.
The woman stood over her, a cruel smile on her face. "Look at you," she sneered. "You can't even defend yourself. You're pathetic."
Pyonie tried to sit up, but the pain in her stomach was too intense. She looked up at the woman, her eyes filled with fear and confusion. "Please," she whispered. "Please don't hurt me."
Just as Yorozu raised her fist to strike again, the door burst open. Uraume stood in the doorway, his eyes blazing with fury. With a swift motion, he raised his hand, and a wall of ice erupted from the ground, encasing Yorozu in a frozen prison.
"How dare you lay a hand on Lady Pyonie!" Uraume snarled.
Yorozu struggled against the ice, her face twisted with rage. But as Uraume leaned in close, whispering something in her ear, her expression changed. She nodded, her eyes wide with understanding, and finally she left, the ice around her crumbling to dust.
Pyonie looked up at Uraume, her eyes wide with shock and confusion. She had never seen him like this before, so powerful and commanding. It was clear that he was more than just a simple servant.
Uraume rushed to her side, kneeling down beside her. He gently lifted her head, his eyes filled with concern and sorrow. "My Lady," he whispered, his voice breaking. "Are you alright?"
"My stomach," she whimpered, clutching at her abdomen. "It hurts so much."
Uraume's eyes widened as he saw the blood pooling beneath her. "Oh no," he gasped. "Lady Pyonie, you're bleeding!"
Pyonie's heart seized with fear. She sobbed, her voice raw with emotion. "Nooo! my child!"
Uraume's face paled, his eyes filled with guilt and shame. "I'm so sorry, my Lady," he whispered, his voice trembling. "I failed to protect you. I let this happen."
Pyonie shook her head, reaching out to touch his hand. "No, Uraume," she said, her voice firm despite the pain. "It's not your fault. You saved me. You protected me."
"We need to tell Lord Sukuna what happened," he said softly, his voice filled with concern.
Pyonie's heart clenched at the thought of Sukuna's reaction. She knew he would be furious, would want to hunt down Yorozu and make her pay for what she had done. But she also knew that it would only bring more pain and suffering to everyone involved.
"Uraume," she said, her voice steady despite the fear and pain that gripped her. "Please don't tell him about Yorozu. I don't want anyone else to get hurt because of me."
Uraume hesitated, torn between his loyalty to Sukuna and his desire to protect Pyonie. But in the end, he nodded, his eyes filled with understanding. "As you wish, my Lady," he said softly. "I will keep your secret."
Pyonie smiled weakly, leaning against Uraume for support as he helped her to her feet. "Thank you, Uraume," she whispered, her voice filled with gratitude. "You're a good friend."
Pyonie looked up at Uraume, her eyes filled with curiosity and concern. "What did you say to Yorozu to make her leave like that?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly.
Uraume sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I told her you were going to be a sacrifice," he explained, his voice serious. "That you were sent to Lord Sukuna as an offering."
Pyonie's eyes widened in shock. "A sacrifice?" she gasped.
Uraume shook his head. "No,  it's not true," he said firmly. "It was a lie, to protect you. Yorozu is a dangerous woman. If she found out that you were Lord Sukuna's woman, she would kill you without a second thought."
Pyonie shivered at the thought, her body wracked with pain and fear. "I see," she whispered, her voice barely audible.
Uraume helped her to the bed, supporting her weight. "Rest now, my lady," he said softly. "I'll get some warm water and clean cloths."
As Uraume left the room, Pyonie closed her eyes, trying to block out the pain and the memories of what had just happened. She felt so helpless, so vulnerable.
Uraume returned a few minutes later, carrying a basin of warm water and a stack of clean cloths. He knelt beside the bed and began to gently clean the blood from Pyonie's legs.
"We need to wait for Lord Sukuna to return," he said softly, his voice filled with concern. "He needs to know your condition."
Pyonie nodded, her heart heavy with dread at the thought of facing Sukuna.

Chapter 16. Horrible Secret
One late night, Sukuna had informed Pyonie that he might not be joining her in bed as he had some important tasks to complete. Pyonie had nodded, understanding the demands of his position.
Unable to sleep, she decided to look for Ponpon. Maybe the little fox cub could keep her company until Sukuna returned.
She wandered through the dimly lit corridors, her footsteps soft on the polished wooden floors. She called out for Ponpon softly, her voice echoing in the empty halls.
Suddenly, she heard a faint scratching sound coming from behind a door. Curious, she reached out and slid it open.
The room was dark and cold, the air heavy with an unsettling stillness. As her eyes adjusted to the darkness, she saw them. Bodies. Wrapped in ice, their faces frozen in expressions of terror and agony.
Pyonie's heart leapt into her throat, a scream building in her chest. But before she could release it, cool, slender hands clamped over her mouth, their grip firm yet precise, muffling her cry.
"Lady Pyonie," Uraume's voice hissed in her ear. "What are you doing here? This is a forbidden room."
His grip on her loosened slightly, her eyes wide with fear and confusion. "Uraume," she whispered, her voice trembling. "Why are there... why are there bodies here?"
Uraume sighed, "Lord Sukuna requires certain rituals to maintain his strength and power," he explained, his voice low and serious. "These bodies... they are a necessary part of that process."
Pyonie's heart clenched with horror and revulsion. She had known that Sukuna was a powerful and feared sorcerer, but this... this was beyond anything she could have imagined.
Uraume's grip on her tightened once more, his voice taking on a stern tone. "You mustn't speak of this to anyone, my lady," he warned. "Especially not to Lord Sukuna. He has entrusted me with his secrets, and I cannot betray that trust."
Pyonie nodded, her eyes wide with understanding. She knew that she had stumbled upon something that was not meant for her eyes, something that could put her in danger.
Uraume released her, giving her a gentle push towards the door. "Go back to your room, Lady Pyonie," he said softly. "Forget what you saw here tonight."
She nodded, her steps unsteady as she made her way back to her room. Her mind was reeling, her thoughts a tangled mess of horror and confusion.
When she entered her room, she found Ponpon waiting for her, a dead mouse dangling from his jaws. Pyonie watched as he tore into the flesh, his eyes glinting in the moonlight.
And in that moment, she realized the truth. Ponpon was a wild animal, a creature of the natural world. He needed to hunt, to kill, to survive. Just like Sukuna, just like everyone in this world.
This world had its own set of laws and rules, different from the modern world she had left behind. She couldn't judge them by her own standards. She had to learn to accept them.
She crawled into bed, pulling the covers up to her chin. She closed her eyes, trying to push the image of the frozen corpses from her mind. But it was no use. The memory lingered, haunting her thoughts.
She thought about the power that Sukuna wielded, the rituals he performed to maintain that power. It was a dark and terrible thing, but it was also the reason she was alive. Without his strength, without his ability to fight off the curses and his enemies, she would be lost.
She thought about Ponpon, about the way he had killed that mouse with such ease and grace. It was a brutal act, but it was also a necessity. In this world, only the strong survived. Only those who were willing to do whatever it took to stay alive.
She rolled over, facing the wall. She wanted to cry, to let out all the fear and confusion and doubt that was churning inside her. But she knew that crying wouldn't change anything. All she could do was try to understand, to accept the world as it was and find her place within it. She knew that Sukuna cared for her, that he wanted to protect her. With that thought, she finally drifted off to sleep, her mind filled with dreams of Sukuna and Ponpon, of a world that was both beautiful and terrifying, a world that she was slowly learning to call home.

Chapter 15. Cherished Memories (Part 2)
The next day passed as if it were just another cheerful, ordinary day.  Pyonie was back to her usual daily mood. She started getting ready for bed, waiting for Sukuna to come home.
Moments later, Sukuna entered the room, his expression grave. In his arms, he cradled a small, shivering bundle.
Pyonie gasped, her eyes widening in surprise and concern. "Sukuna, what's that?" she asked.
He approached her. "I found something in the forest today," he said, his voice low and serious.
Pyonie frowned, confusion and concern flitting across her features. "What do you mean?" she asked, her voice tinged with worry.
Sukuna unwrapped the bundle in his arms, revealing a tiny fox cub, its fur reddish-brown and soft as silk. The cub looked up at them with wide, curious eyes, its tiny nose twitching as it caught the scent of something new and exciting.
Pyonie gasped, her eyes filling with wonder. "Oh, Sukuna," she breathed, reaching out to stroke the cub's head with a gentle hand. "It's adorable!"
"I found it near its mother's body," he said, his voice sobering. "She must have been killed by hunters."
Pyonie's heart clenched with sorrow, her hand still resting on the cub's head. "Poor thing," she murmured, her voice filled with compassion. "It must be so frightened and lost."
"I thought you might be able to take care of it," he said, his voice hopeful. "Give it a home here with us."
Pyonie looked up at Sukuna, her eyes filled with gratitude and affection. "Of course," she said softly. "We'll take care of him together."
Sukuna smiled, handing the cub to her. She cradled it close to her chest, marveling at its softness and warmth. The cub snuggled into her embrace, its eyes drifting shut as it let out a tiny, contented sigh.
"You know, there is a common belief here." Sukuna added, "It is said that women who are not interested in sƎxual intimacy are possessed by an evil fox spirit."
Pyonie's eyes widened, a flicker of fear passing through them. "Do you really believe that?"
Sukuna shook his head, his eyes filled with conviction. "I know that's not true," he said firmly. "We jujutsu sorcerers know better. People fear what they don't understand. Sometimes, humans create their own monsters."
Pyonie looked up at him her eyes filled with regret, "Sorry, about how I behaved yesterday. It was embarassing." "You can just forget what happened, Pyonie. Look, we can always start anew. We're like a family now, " Sukuna said cheering her up as he changed the topic. "What shall we name him then?"
Pyonie's eyes twinkled with amusement. "How about Ponpon?" she suggested, her voice playful.
Sukuna nodded, "Ponpon it is," he agreed.
Pyonie giggled, her heart lightening. "Ponpon," she repeated, her voice filled with affection. "I love it."
As the night wore on, Pyonie cradled Ponpon in her arms, the little cub nestled against her chest. She stroked his soft fur, marveling at the trust and affection the tiny creature placed in her.
Sukuna smiled, his heart swelling with affection for the woman in his arms. He knew that he had fallen deeply inlove with Pyonie that his feelings for her went far beyond mere captivity or possession. She had stolen his heart, claimed it as her own, and he would do anything to keep her safe and happy. ***
Days turned into weeks, and Pyonie found herself settling into a comfortable routine within the walls of the temple. In the mornings, she would help Uraume with the cleaning. She would sweep the floors, dust the shelves, and tidy up the living areas.
But her favorite task of all was tending to the garden. She loved to watch the plants grow and flourish under her care, the vibrant colors and fragrant scents filling her with a sense of peace and contentment.
And always, always, Ponpon was by her side. The little fox cub followed her everywhere, his curious eyes watching her every move. She would scoop him up in her arms, laughing as he nuzzled her cheek with his cold, wet nose.
But there was one task that Pyonie longed to do, one task that Uraume steadfastly refused to let her do. And that was washing Sukuna's clothes.
"Pyonie," he would say gently, his voice tinged with concern. "Some of Sukuna's clothes are stained with blood from battles. It might disturb you."
She would nod, her heart heavy with the knowledge of Sukuna's violent profession. But she never complained, never tried to argue. She simply accepted Uraume's words with grace and understanding.
In the afternoons, when the heat of the day had begun to fade, Pyonie would often retreat to her room to write in her journal. She poured her heart onto the pages, her words flowing like a river of emotion.
And when the mood struck her, she would seek out Uraume and ask him to join her in making origami. They would fashion tiny paper creatures or flowers as they folded the delicate paper into intricate shapes and designs.
Whenever Sukuna returned home, Pyonie would greet him with a radiant smile, her eyes sparkling with excitement. She would rush to his side, her journal clasped tightly to her chest.
She would open the journal, revealing page after page of beautiful poetry, each line crafted with love and care. And as Sukuna read, his eyes would soften with affection, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.
Every night, after dinner, Pyonie would request Sukuna to tell her stories about Heian era. He would lead her outside, point out constellations, his voice low and reverent as he spoke of the ancient myths and legends that had been passed down through generations.
Pyonie would listen, her eyes wide with wonder, her heart racing with excitement. She would ask questions, her curiosity insatiable, and Sukuna would answer patiently, his voice rich with the wisdom of ages.
As the night wore on, the conversation would turn to Pyonie's life back in Tokyo. She would describe the bustling streets, the towering skyscrapers, the endless streams of cars and trains.
"It's so different from here," she would say, her voice filled with a mixture of nostalgia and wonder. "Everything moves so fast, so much faster than you can imagine."
Sukuna would listen intently, his eyes wide with fascination. He would ask about the strange devices she spoke of- the televisions, the computers, the mobile phones. "It sounds like a world beyond my wildest dreams," he would say, shaking his head in amazement.
Pyonie would laugh, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "You really have to see it to believe it!"
And sometimes, when the mood struck her, Pyonie would begin to sing her favorite songs. Her voice would rise into the night air, sweet and clear, filling the silence with melody. Sukuna would listen, his heart swelling with love and admiration. They would talk and laugh and sing, their voices rising into the starry sky.
*** One day, Sukuna led Pyonie into a clearing in the forest, a wide open space surrounded by towering trees and lush greenery. In his hands, he held a large, colorful kite.
"Come on," he said, his voice filled with excitement. "Let's fly this."
Pyonie's eyes widened, her heart leaping with joy. "Wow!" she asked, her voice filled with wonder. "I've never flown a kite before."
Sukuna grinned, his eyes sparkling. "Well, today's your lucky day," he said, handing her the string.
Pyonie took the string, marveling at the intricate design of the kite. "It's so pretty," she breathed, her fingers tracing the delicate patterns.
They walked to the center of the clearing, the grass soft and cool beneath their feet. Sukuna held the kite steady, his hands firm and sure as Pyonie stood beside him, holding the spool of string.
"Hold it tight," he instructed, his voice low but patient. "The wind will do the rest."
With a practiced motion, Sukuna gave the kite a gentle toss into the air. It caught the breeze, wobbling for a moment before soaring upward. Pyonie gasped, her eyes wide with wonder as the kite danced against the bright blue sky.
But as the wind tugged harder, the string slipped slightly through her fingers. Sukuna stepped closer, his larger hands covering hers on the spool. "Here," he murmured, guiding her grip. "You have to keep the tension steady. Too loose, and it’ll fall. Too tight, and the string might snap."
Together, they worked in sync, Sukuna’s steady guidance helping Pyonie keep the kite under control.
"It's amazing," she breathed, her voice filled with wonder. "I wish I had my camera with me. I'd love to take a picture of this moment."
Sukuna frowned, confusion etched on his handsome features. "Camera?" he asked, his brow furrowed. "What is that?"
Pyonie turned to him, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Oh, it's this incredible device that lets you freeze moments in time," she explained, her voice brimming with enthusiasm. "It's like a little box you can carry in your pocket. It takes still pictures and even moving ones, so you can hold onto memories long after the moment has passed."
Sukuna's eyes widened, his heart racing with the possibilities. "That sounds like magic," he breathed, his voice filled with awe. "To be able to hold onto a moment forever, to relive it whenever you want..."
He trailed off, his gaze distant, as if lost in thought. Then, he turned back to Pyonie, his crimson eyes softening with a rare vulnerability. "If I had such a thing," he said quietly, his voice almost a whisper, "I would use it to capture every moment with you. To keep you close, even when you're far away."
Pyonie felt her cheeks flush as his words settled over her. She looked away for a moment, trying to gather her thoughts, before meeting his gaze again. "You don’t need a camera for that," she said gently, her voice trembling with emotion. "You’ve already captured so many moments of us... right here." She placed a hand over his chest, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat.
Sukuna stared at her, uncharacteristically silent, as her words lingered in the air between them. For a moment, the King of Curses, feared and revered by all, felt a flicker of something unfamiliar—peace.
"You’re dangerous, Pyonie," he murmured, a rare softness in his voice. "Not because of your strength, but because of your heart. It’s the only thing that could ever make someone like me weak."
Pyonie smiled, her cheeks warming, "Sometimes, what feels like weakness can also be someone's greatest strength," she said softly, her gaze steady and full of warmth. Sukuna’s crimson eyes lingered on her. He didn’t reply, but his hand tightened around hers, as if silently acknowledging the truth she’d just shared.
Above them, the kite danced freely in the sky, a silent witness to the fleeting yet profound moment they shared together.

Chapter 14. Conflicting Emotions
The night enveloped the room in a cloak of darkness, broken only by the flickering light of a single lantern. Pyonie lay in the futon, her mind racing with conflicting emotions. She had asked Sukuna to let her sleep alone tonight, desperate for some space to sort through the tumultuous feelings that consumed her.
But now, as she lay there, she could feel the desperation building within her. The desire to feel his touch, to lose herself in his embrace, was becoming overwhelming. She tossed and turned, her heart pounding in her chest. If Sukuna were here, she knew she wouldn't be able to resist. She would beg him to take her, to claim her once again.
Unable to bear the tension any longer, Pyonie rose from the futon and began to pace the room. Her bare feet padded softly on the tatami mats as she walked back and forth, her mind a whirlwind of thoughts. She couldn't deny her growing attraction to Sukuna, but the guilt and shame still weighed heavily on her conscience.
Suddenly, the door slid open, and Sukuna stood in the doorway. He had sensed her unease, and concern etched his features. "Pyonie? Is everything alright?"
Pyonie froze, her face flushing a deep crimson. She tried to push him back out, desperate to hide her inner turmoil.
"I'm fine," she called back, her voice trembling slightly. "Just... just go away, Sukuna. Please."
Sukuna's brow furrowed as he stepped closer, his presence filling the room. "Don't lie to me. I can sense your distress. Tell me, what is it that you truly want?"
Tears welled up in Pyonie's eyes as she buried her face in her hands. "I... I can't... I don't know what I want anymore!" she sobbed, collapsing onto the floor.
Sukuna knelt beside her, his strong hands gently gripping her shoulders. "Do you want me to make love to you, Pyonie?" he asked, his voice low and husky.
Pyonie's eyes widened in panic. How could he read her so easily? She shook her head frantically, trying to deny the truth. "N-no... I just... I think I need a bath..." she stammered, attempting to avoid his piercing gaze.
But Sukuna wasn't fooled. He grabbed her wrist, stopping her from scrambling away. "But why? We've done it multiple times before. What are you afraid of? You just have to ask for it."
Pyonie's eyes widen in panic, and she tries to pull away from his grip. "Please let me go, Sukuna!" she pleads, her voice trembling.
But Sukuna doesn't release her, instead tugging her closer. "If you don't want me to touch you, you can just help yourself. I can... assist you with that."
Pyonie's face contorts in distress, and she clamps her hands over her ears. "No, Sukuna, please stop! Don't teach me shameful things like that! Don't make me hate myself even more!"
Sukuna pauses, his expression softening slightly. "That wasn't my intention, Pyonie.
Pyonie's resolve crumbled, and she broke down completely. "You don't understand," she cried, burying her face in her hands. "I told you, I made a vow to stay pure and chaste until marriage. But I still can't forgive myself for always allowing you to claim me. I broke my vow, Sukuna. I failed my parents, I failed myself."
Sukuna gently ran his hand along her back, his touch steady and reassuring as he tried to comfort her. "Listen to me. I'll take responsibility for you. We can be bound together in every way that matters."
Pyonie shook her head. "But my parents... they don't know where I am. They must be so worried... What will my they even think of me? Of our relationship?"
"Pyonie, we only have each other here," he said softly. "The world you knew is gone. It's time to accept that we're a couple now."
Pyonie looked up at Sukuna, her tear-stained face a mix of confusion and despair. "Can't we just have it official first? Like maybe a simple wedding ceremony or a contract as proof of our bond?" Sukuna sighed, running a hand through his spiky pink hair. "Marriage contracts are not a thing here in the Heian period. There are no festivities or formalities." Pyonie's face contorted in disbelief. "No laws, no rules on marriage?" "Heian marriages require permission from family members, but that doesn't apply to us anymore. I'd make a binding vow with you if I could, but that's only meant for jujutsu sorcerers.  All I can offer you is my word—my own vow to you," Sukuna confirmed. Pyonie's heart sank as the reality of her situation hit her like a ton of bricks. She was truly trapped in this time and place, with no way back to her old life. The thought of her parents never knowing what happened to her, of never seeing her friends or experiencing modern life again, was almost too much to bear. "I... I can't process everything right now," she whispered, her voice barely audible. Sukuna's expression softened, and he gently brushed a stray lock of hair from her face. "I know this is a lot to take in. But you're not alone. We're in this together." Pyonie nodded weakly, not trusting herself to speak. She felt Sukuna's arms wrap around her, pulling her close. For a moment, she allowed herself to melt into his embrace, drawing comfort from his warmth and strength. She mumbled against his chest. "My mind is so confused. I think I just really need a distraction. If I was in Tokyo, there would be lots of things to keep me busy..." Her voice trailed off as she remembered home, the bustling streets, the neon lights, the familiar faces. It all seemed so faraway now, like a distant dream. Pyonie met his gaze, her eyes filled with silent pleading and her lips quivering. "S-sorry, Sukuna... Y-you must hate me now. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. I've been insensitive." Sukuna shook his head, his fingers gently stroking her hair. "Calm down, Pyonie. I don't hate you. It's all my fault for messing with your feelings. Go to sleep now, it's late." Pyonie nodded, sniffling softly. "I'll try to make it up to you, I promise." "No need to," Sukuna said firmly. "I don't want you to end up hating yourself more. I'm the one who must make it up to you. Good night, I promise tomorrow will be a better day." He kissed her forehead tenderly before helping her back onto the futon. Pyonie watched him leave, her heart aching with confusion and longing.
As the door slid shut behind Sukuna, Pyonie curled up in the futon, hugging a pillow to her chest, her heart torn between Sukuna and her life in Tokyo. "Kami-sama, please forgive me for being distant," she whispered into the darkness. "I don't understand why everything happened, but I know I've taken so much for granted. Please, I don't want to lose anyone precious to me anymore."
With a heavy heart, she slowly drifts off to sleep, praying for guidance and a way to reconcile the conflicting parts of her life.

Chapter 13. Cherished Memories (Part 1)
The next morning, Pyonie woke up to the sound of Sukuna's voice, low and gentle. "Good morning, Pyonie, let's eat breakfast first then we can start."
After breakfast, Sukuna led Pyonie to his study. He said softly, his hand brushing a stray lock of hair from her face. "Are you ready to learn the art of poetry?"
"Yes," she said with enthusiasm. "I'm ready."
Sukuna smiled, "Excellent," he said. "Let's begin."
He sat down beside her. Pyonie watched as he flipped through the pages of poetry books, his fingers moving deftly over the delicate paper. "Poetry," he said, his voice taking on a lecturing tone, "is the expression of emotion through language. It is a way to capture the essence of a feeling, to make it tangible and real."
Sukuna handed her a blank booklet, its pages smooth and waiting. "This," he said, his voice filled with pride, "is for you. A place to write your own poems, your own thoughts and feelings."
Pyonie took the booklet, her fingers trembling with excitement. She ran her hand over the cover, marveling at the smoothness of the fabric, the intricacy of the design embossed upon it. "Thank you," she whispered, her voice filled with awe.
Sukuna nodded, his eyes softening. "Now," he said, his voice brisk. "Let's begin with the basics. Tell me, Pyonie, what is your favorite season?"
Pyonie paused, considering the question. "Spring," she said finally, her voice clear and bright. "I love the way the world comes alive again, the way the flowers bloom and the birds sing."
Sukuna's eyes sparkled with approval. "Excellent," he said. "Now, let's try to capture that feeling in a poem. What words come to mind when you think of spring?"
Pyonie closed her eyes, letting the images flow through her mind. "Blossoms," she said softly. "Green grass, blue skies, birdsong..."
Sukuna nodded, encouraging her to continue. "Good," he said. "Now, let's try to put those images into a poem. How about this? 'Spring blossoms dance on the breeze, green grass stretches to the sky.'"
Pyonie's eyes flew open, her heart swelling with excitement. "That's beautiful!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with wonder.
Sukuna laughed, the sound rich and warm. "It's just the beginning," he said, his voice teasing. "With practice and guidance, you will become a master poet."
As the day wore on, Sukuna patiently guided Pyonie through the intricacies of poetry, teaching her about meter and rhyme, imagery and symbolism. By the time the sun began to set, Pyonie's booklet was filled with her own poems, her own expressions of the beauty and wonder she saw in the world around her.
As she lay down to sleep that night, her booklet clutched to her chest, Pyonie felt a sense of accomplishment wash over her. She had learned so much today, had discovered a new passion, a new way to express herself. And it was all thanks to Sukuna.
Pyonie's heart swelled with emotion as she thought of him, of the kindness and patience he had shown her today. He had been so gentle, so encouraging, and so eager to share his knowledge with her.
And yet, even as her heart filled with gratitude and affection, Pyonie couldn't shake the nagging sense of unease that always seemed to lurk in the back of her mind. She was still a prisoner here, still far from home and everything she had ever known. No matter how kind Sukuna might be, no matter how much she enjoyed his company, she could never forget that.
As if sensing her thoughts, Sukuna stirred beside her, his arm tightening around her waist. "What are you thinking about?" he murmured, his voice low and sleepy.
Pyonie hesitated, biting her lip. Should she tell him the truth, confess the conflicting emotions that warred within her? Or should she simply smile and say nothing, pretending that all was well?
In the end, she chose the latter. "Nothing," she whispered, snuggling closer to him. "Just thinking about today, about how much I enjoyed learning from you."
Sukuna hummed, his breath warm against her hair. "I enjoyed it too," he murmured, his voice soft and tender. "Seeing you discover a new passion, a new part of yourself... it was a joy to behold."
Even if she couldn't fully trust him, even if she couldn't forget the circumstances that had brought her here, she couldn't deny the genuine affection she felt for him in this moment. ***
On a crisp, sunny morning, Sukuna suggested they venture into the forest surrounding the temple. "I need to practice my archery skills," he explained with a smile. "Care to join me and watch?"
Pyonie's eyes lit up at the prospect of a change in scenery. "I'd love to!" she replied eagerly.
Sukuna led them to a small clearing, where he had set up a target. He nocked an arrow, his movements fluid and precise. With a twang of the bowstring, the arrow flew through the air, hitting the bull's eye with a satisfying thud.
Pyonie clapped her hands in delight, her eyes wide with admiration. "That was incredible!" she exclaimed.
Sukuna grinned, his eyes sparkling with pride.
As he continued to shoot, Pyonie found herself growing restless. She wanted to try, to feel the weight of the bow in her hands, to experience the thrill of the arrow flying true.
"Sukuna," she said hesitantly. "Can I try?"
He turned to her, surprise flickering across his face. "Are you sure?" he asked, his voice tinged with concern. "It can be dangerous if you don't know what you're doing."
Pyonie nodded, her determination unwavering. "I want to learn," she said firmly. "Please, teach me."
He hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "Alright," he said, handing her a smaller bow. "But listen carefully. This is not a toy. Always treat it with respect and caution."
Pyonie took the bow, marveling at its weight and balance. She watched as Sukuna demonstrated the proper stance, the way to hold the bow, the way to draw back the string.
Under his patient guidance, Pyonie began to learn. She stumbled and fumbled at first, the bow clumsy in her inexperienced hands. But with each attempt, she grew more confident, her movements becoming steadier. Her arrows flew shakily at first, landing far from the mark, but soon she managed to hit the target—though never quite the center. Each near miss brought a small, triumphant smile to her face, and even Sukuna’s usual smirk softened ever so slightly.
Hours passed in a blur of concentration and determination. By the time the sun began to dip towards the horizon, Pyonie was exhausted but exhilarated. She had learned so much, had pushed herself further than she ever thought possible.
But as she lowered the bow, she realized that her hands were shaking, her fingers throbbing with pain. She looked down to see angry red marks on her palms, the skin scraped and bruised from the rough bark of the bow.
Sukuna noticed her discomfort immediately. "Pyonie," he said, his voice filled with concern. "Your hands."
He took her hands in his, his touch gentle and soothing. Pyonie gasped as a warm, tingling sensation spread through her fingers, the pain and bruising fading away as if it had never been.
Pyonie looked up at Sukuna, her eyes wide with wonder. "How did you do that?" she asked, her voice filled with awe.
Sukuna chuckled softly, his tone dismissive. “It’s just a simple healing technique,” he said, though the faint pride in his smirk betrayed his words.
But to Pyonie, it was anything but ordinary. The way his touch had erased the pain, how the bruises had disappeared as though they’d never been there—it felt like magic. Like something out of a fairy tale brought to life.
As they made their way back to home, Pyonie couldn't stop thinking about what she had learned today. Not just about archery, but about herself. She had discovered a new strength within herself. And it was all again thanks to Sukuna.
As they walked, Sukuna reached out, his hand finding hers. His fingers intertwined with hers, his palm warm and solid against her own. Pyonie's heart skipped a beat, her cheeks flushing with a sudden heat.
She glanced up at him, her eyes meeting his. In that moment, nothing else mattered. Not her captivity, not her longing for home. All that mattered was the two of them, the connection between them, the bond that grew stronger with each passing day. ***
The soft light of dawn filtered through the trees as Sukuna revealed his plan to take her to a trip to the nearby waterfalls. "It will be a nice change of scenery," he said with a smile. "And the water will be refreshing after our hike."
Pyonie's eyes lit up at the prospect of an adventure. "Oh I can't wait, I better prepare now!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with excitement.
They set off under the bright midday sun, the warm air buzzing with the sounds of nature as they walked through the forest. Uraume had packed them a lovely picnic lunch, which they carried in a woven basket.
As they neared the waterfalls, the sound of rushing water grew louder, until finally they stepped into a small clearing and were greeted by the sight of a magnificent cascade of water tumbling down a rocky cliff face into a crystal-clear pool below.
Pyonie gasped in wonder, her eyes wide with delight. "It's beautiful!" she breathed, her voice filled with awe.
Sukuna grinned, his eyes sparkling with anticipation. "Shall we bathe?" he asked, already beginning to strip off his outer robes.
Her cheeks flushed a warm pink as she turned her head away. But she nodded eagerly, quickly removing her own clothing and wrapping herself with a thin towel.
Together, they waded into the pool, the cool water a shock to their systems after the heat of the hike. Pyonie laughed as Sukuna scooped up a handful of water and poured it over her head, the cool droplets cascading down like a sparkling shower in the sun. His smirk deepened at her startled gasp, and she retaliated by splashing him, her laughter ringing through the air. They spent hours in the water, swimming and playing like children. Pyonie had never felt so carefree, so utterly content. In this moment, all her worries and fears seemed to melt away, replaced by a simple, pure joy.
The sun began to lower, its golden rays casting a soft glow over the water as they reluctantly pulled themselves away and started to towel off. Sukuna spread out the blanket Uraume had provided, and they settled down to eat their picnic feast.
The food was delicious - fresh fruits, savory rice balls, grilled fish seasoned with citrus and herbs. They ate ravenously, their appetites sharpened by the exercise and fresh air.
As they ate, Pyonie couldn't help but think of Uraume. "I wish he could have joined us," she said wistfully, her voice tinged with sadness.
Sukuna nodded, his expression thoughtful. "I know," he said softly. "But Uraume has his reasons for keeping to himself."
As the sun sank below the horizon, they packed up their belongings and began the trek back home. Pyonie's heart was full of contentment, her mind buzzing with happy memories of the day's adventures as she clung to his arm, a sense of safety and warmth enveloping her with every step."

Chapter 12. Change of Heart
Pyonie woke up alone. She blinked sleepily, her eyes adjusting to the dim light filtering through the paper screens. As she sat up, she realized something was different - her ankle was free of the usual rope binding.
With a sense of cautious optimism, Pyonie swung her legs over the side of the bed and stood up. She stretched, marveling at the freedom of movement she hadn't experienced in weeks.
After freshening up and changing into a clean kimono, Pyonie made her way to the kitchen in search of Uraume. She found him there, kneeling by the hearth as he prepared breakfast.
"Uraume," she called out softly. "Where is Sukuna?"
Uraume looked up, startled. "Ah, Lady Pyonie. Lord Sukuna had some urgent business to attend to.  He left early this morning."
Pyonie nodded, trying to hide her disappointment. "I see. Is there anything I can help you with?"
Uraume shook his head. "No, my lady. You are not a servant. You are free to do as you please, within reason." He gestured to the house around them. "However, I must inform you that certain rooms are forbidden to you."
As the day wore on, Pyonie found herself growing restless. Finally, unable to bear the idleness any longer, she sought out Uraume once more. "Please," she begged. "Let me help you with your chores. I have nothing else to do."
Uraume sighed, his shoulders slumping in defeat. "Very well, my lady. But if Lord Sukuna finds out, I will take full responsibility."
As night fell, Pyonie was assisting Uraume in preparing dinner when they heard the familiar sound of Sukuna's approach. Uraume immediately dropped to his knees, his head bowed in submission.
"My lord," he said, his voice trembling slightly. "I am so sorry. I allowed Lady Pyonie to help me with the household chores, despite knowing it was against your wishes."
Sukuna's eyes narrowed as he took in the scene before him - Pyonie standing at the hearth, her sleeves pushed up and her hair disheveled from the heat of the fire, Uraume groveling at his feet.
Before Sukuna could respond, Pyonie stepped forward, her own head bowed in deference. "Please, Sukuna," she begged. "Punish me, not Uraume. It was not his fault. It was my idea."
Sukuna's eyes widened in surprise, his gaze flickering between Pyonie and Uraume. He had expected to find Pyonie lounging around, bored and restless. He certainly hadn't anticipated her taking on household chores, of all things.
"You... wanted to help with chores?" he asked, his voice laced with disbelief.
Pyonie nodded, her eyes downcast. "Yes, Uraume tried to refuse me, but I insisted. Please, punish me for disobeying your orders, but spare Uraume. He was only following my lead."
Sukuna studied her for a long moment, his expression unreadable. Then, unexpectedly, he let out a bark of laughter. "Well, well," he said, a grin spreading across his face. "It seems I have underestimated you, Pyonie. I never thought you would choose to busy yourself with such menial tasks."
Uraume risked a glance up at Sukuna, his eyes wide with relief and confusion.
Sukuna waved a hand dismissively. "Get up, Uraume. Both of you. There will be no punishment today."
Uraume scrambled to his feet, bowing deeply. "Thank you, my lord. Your mercy is most appreciated."
Sukuna's grin widened. "Now, enough of this formal nonsense. Let's eat. I'm starving."
As they gathered around the table, Pyonie couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment. She had stood up for Uraume, had taken on responsibilities to prove her worth. And while Sukuna might not fully understand her motivations, he had at least acknowledged her efforts.
As they ate, the conversation flowed easily, punctuated by laughter and teasing. For the first time since her arrival, Pyonie felt like she was truly a part of this household, not just a prisoner or a plaything.
As the evening drew to a close, Pyonie began to prepare for bed. She washed her face and hands in the basin, the cool water refreshing her skin after a long day of helping Uraume with the household chores.
Just as she was about to climb into bed, Sukuna entered the room, a small box in his hands. He approached her, his eyes glinting in the candlelight. "Pyonie," he said, his voice low and soft. "I have a gift for you."
Pyonie's eyes widened as she took the box from his hands. It was beautifully decorated, the lacquered wood adorned with intricate designs of cranes and cherry blossoms. With trembling fingers, she lifted the lid, revealing the treasure inside.
It was a doll, crafted from lacquered wood and delicate washi paper, its face painted with soft pigments and serene grace. Its silk-thread hair, dyed inky black, framed eyes so finely drawn they seemed alive. The doll wore a dress in layers of vibrant silk in harmonious colors, embroidered with golden threads that glinted like sunlight. Pyonie gasped, her heart swelling. "Sukuna," she breathed. "She’s beautiful." "I had it made specially for you," he said, his voice gruff.
Pyonie clutched the doll to her chest. "Thank you," she whispered. "I love it."
Sukuna nodded, his expression softening. "I have another question for you," he said, his voice hesitant. "Do you want me to stay with you tonight, or do you wish to be alone?"
"Please stay," she said softly, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment. "If you don't mind."
Sukuna's smile widened. "Of course I don't mind," he said, his voice warm. "I enjoy your company."
Sukuna propped himself up on one elbow, looking down at her. "How was your day?" he asked, his voice gentle. "Did you enjoy helping Uraume?"
Pyonie nodded, a smile tugging at her lips. "I did," she said. "It felt good to be useful. I don't like feeling idle and useless."
Sukuna's expression turned serious, his brow furrowing. "Pyonie," he said, his voice firm. "You are not a servant, nor are you a slave. You are my guest, my...companion. You are not required to work."
Pyonie looked away, her cheeks burning with shame. "I know," she whispered. "But I don't want to be a burden."
Sukuna was quiet for a moment, his eyes searching hers. Then, he nodded, a smile tugging at his lips. "Very well," he said. "If it makes you happy, then I have no objections."
Pyonie's heart swelled with gratitude, a warm smile spreading across her face. "Thank you, Sukuna," she said softly, her voice filled with sincerity. "For being kind to me."
Sukuna's smile widened, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Kindness has nothing to do with it," he said, his voice low and teasing. "I am merely ensuring my own happiness. And having you near me, seeing your smile... it brings me great joy."
Pyonie blushed, her cheeks turning a delicate shade of pink. She ducked her head, her hair falling forward to hide her face.
Sukuna cleared his throat, "I almost forgot," he said, his voice brisk. "I brought you more poetry books today. I thought perhaps we could spend some time together tomorrow, writing poetry."
Pyonie's eyes snapped open, her heart leaping with excitement. "Really?" she asked, her voice breathless. "That would be lovely!" Sukuna settled down beside her, his arm draping across her waist. Pyonie snuggled closer, her head resting on his chest. With Sukuna, in this moment, she felt cherished, valued, loved. And for now, that was enough. Chapter 11. The Dangerous Escape
When Pyonie woke up from her nap, she noticed the rope binding her ankle had been loose. She had been waiting for this moment, for the chance to escape. With trembling fingers, she untied the knot, her heart pounding in her chest.
She froze, hardly daring to breathe as she listened for the sound of footsteps, the creak of floorboards, anything that might indicate Uraume's presence.
Pyonie didn't hesitate. She leapt to her feet and raced for the door, her bare feet slapping against the polished wooden floors.
The cool breeze hit her face as she burst out of the house and into the surrounding forest. The forest loomed before her, a wall of shadow and mystery. Branches whipped at her face and arms as she pushed through the undergrowth, but she didn't slow down. She ran until her lungs burned and her legs trembled.
And then, suddenly, she collided with something wet and slimy. Pyonie stumbled backward, gasping in shock as she found herself face to face with a creature from her worst nightmares.
It was a cursed spirit, its form a vast, shifting mass of black ink that pulsed and oozed with a strange, liquid life. Dozens of bloodshot eyes, red and veined, scanned her with malevolent intent. From its inky body, numerous sharp tentacles lashed out, whip-like and venomous.
Pyonie screamed as the tentacles lashed out, wrapping around her legs and torso. They dug into her flesh, piercing her skin with their venomous barbs. Pain ripped through her body, unlike anything she had ever experienced. It was as if fire were coursing through her veins, burning her from the inside out.
She thrashed and struggled, but the creature's grip only tightened. More tentacles wrapped around her arms, her neck, her waist, until she was completely engulfed in the creature's inky embrace. The world spun around her as the creature began to drag her towards its gaping maw, ready to consume her whole.
Terror gripped her heart as the creature began to pull her in, its inky tendrils enveloping her, smothering her. She opened her mouth to scream, but no sound came out. This was it, the end. She would die here, alone and afraid, her body dissolving into the cursed spirit's twisted form.
Just as the creature's maw began to engulf her head, a flash of crimson sliced through the darkness. The cursed spirit's body exploded in a spray of inky gore, its tentacles falling away from Pyonie's battered form before eventually dissipating.
Through bleary eyes, she saw Sukuna standing over her, his four arms crossed over his chest. He looked down at her, his expression unreadable.
"Pyonie," he growled, his voice low and dangerous. "What have I told you about wandering off?"
Pyonie was unable to move, her body wracked with pain and shock. She looked up at Sukuna, her eyes wide and terrified. "I... I'm sorry..."
Sukuna's expression softened slightly, though the anger still simmered in his eyes. "Foolish girl," he muttered,  "The world outside my protection is full of dangers you cannot even begin to comprehend. Did you really think you could survive out here alone? "
Sukuna scooped her up in his arms and carried her back to the house. Positive cursed energy flowed through his body to hers slowly healing her on their way back. As the haze of pain slowly receded, Pyonie felt the rhythmic rise and fall of his breathing was soothing, almost hypnotic.
But even as her body began to relax, Pyonie's mind was in turmoil. She had almost died out there, had almost become a snack for that horrible creature. If Sukuna hadn't arrived in time...
She shuddered, pressing her face into his chest. She hated to admit it, but Sukuna had saved her life. He was her protector, whether she liked it or not.
Sukuna laid Pyonie gently on the bed, his face etched with concern. He brushed a strand of hair from her pale forehead, his touch surprisingly gentle.
"Rest now, Pyonie," he murmured. "You're safe."
As Pyonie drifted off into a fitful slumber, Sukuna continued healing her body with his reverse cursed technique, carefully extracting the remnants of the toxins in her body.
Once he was sure she was in a deep sleep, Sukuna exited the room and turned to Uraume, his eyes narrowing. "Well?" he demanded. "What did she say to you?"
Uraume bowed his head, his voice respectful. "She begged for my help, my lord. Said she wanted to return home, that she didn't belong here."
Sukuna's jaw clenched, "And what did you tell her?"
"That I could not help her, my lord. That she belonged to you."
A slow smile spread across Sukuna's face, cold and calculating. "Good."
Uraume added, "And the knot on her bindings was loosened as per your instructions."
Sukuna chuckled, a low, menacing sound. "The foolish girl actually believed she could escape me."
"Indeed, my lord. It seems your plan worked perfectly."
"Of course it did,"Sukuna snarled. "I always get what I want. And now, Pyonie will learn the true danger of the world beyond my protection. Perhaps then she will finally accept her place by my side."
As Uraume left, Sukuna turned back to Pyonie's sleeping form. He reached out, trailing a finger along her cheek, marveling at her resilience, her determination. She was a challenge, a puzzle he couldn't wait to solve.
When Pyonie woke up, Sukuna ordered Uraume to bring her dinner. As she ate, her eyes met with Sukuna's.
"Thank you," she said softly. "For saving my life. If you hadn't been there..." She trailed off, unable to finish the thought.
Sukuna's eyes flashed with surprise at her sudden gratitude. "I told you, you're mine. I protect what belongs to me."
Pyonie nodded, swallowing the lump in her throat. "I know," her voice trembled with suppressed frustration and anger. "And I... I hate that! I MADE A VOW... a vow to myself, to my parents, to stay pure and chaste before marriage. And you... you destroyed that. You took that choice from me."
Sukuna's eyes flashed with something unreadable. A heavy silence lingered in the room as Sukuna closed his eyes and folded his arms, seemingly contemplating on his actions. After what seemed like an eternity, suddenly, he opened his eyes. His expression softened, a flicker of understanding passing over his face.
"I see," he said softly. "I value vows, Pyonie. To break one... it's unforgivable. Like binding vows, promises made in good faith... they mean everything to me. And I realize now that I have disrespected yours."
Pyonie stared at him, shocked. Sukuna, admitting he was wrong? Apologizing? It was unheard of.
He fell to his knees before her, his head bowed in supplication. "Punish me as you see fit," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I will accept whatever penance you deem necessary."
Pyonie hesitated, caught off guard by his offer. "I... I don't want to punish you, Sukuna. I just want you to understand how much you hurt me."
Sukuna looked up at her, his eyes searching hers. "Then let me punish myself," he said, his voice low and intense. "I will refrain from touching you, from taking your body, except when you expressly request it. My desires are my own to control."
Pyonie's eyes widened. "Are you sure? Won't that be... difficult for you?"
Sukuna laughed, a deep, rich sound. "Difficult perhaps, but I will manage. I can always pleasure and relieve myself while thinking of you. But I will not force you to bear the burden of my lust anymore."
Pyonie felt her cheeks heat, a blush spreading across her face. She looked away, embarrassed and confused by her own reaction.
"Can you... can you hold me tonight?" she asked, her voice small. She was still shaking from her encounter with the cursed spirit, the memory of its slimy tentacles wrapping around her sending shivers down her spine. "I don't want to be alone. Not after what happened in the forest."
Sukuna's expression softened, his eyes filled with understanding. "Of course, Pyonie. As you wish."
Pyonie nodded gratefully. She curled up beside him, her head resting on his chest. She could hear the steady beat of his heart, feel the warmth of his body seeping into hers.
As Sukuna held her close, Pyonie felt the last of the tension drain from her body. The lingering fear from her encounter with the cursed spirit faded away, replaced by a bone-deep sense of security. To be continued...

Chapter 10. Deceptive Game
As the moon hung low in the inky night sky, casting an ethereal glow through the paper screens, Sukuna entered Pyonie's bedroom. His presence filled the space, his broad shoulders casting shadows on the walls. Pyonie's heart raced as she sat up.
Sukuna's lips curved into a sly smile, his eyes glinting with mischief. "Let's play a game, shall we?" he purred, his voice low and seductive. "I'll try to touch you, to explore your body. And if you react, even the slightest bit, I'll have you. But if you manage to stay still and silent, I won't lay a finger on you for the rest of the night."
Pyonie's breath caught in her throat. It was a devilish proposal, but she knew she had no choice but to agree. "Fine," she whispered, her voice trembling. "I'll play your game."
Sukuna's smile widened, a predatory gleam in his eyes. He approached the bed slowly, his movements fluid and graceful. He reached out, his fingers grazing Pyonie's hair, stroking it gently. Pyonie fought to keep her breathing steady, her muscles tense with the effort of staying still.
He leaned in, his lips brushing against hers in a feather-light kiss. Pyonie's eyes fluttered closed, her heart pounding in her chest. Sukuna's lips trailed along her jawline, nibbling at her earlobe, sending shivers down her spine.
His mouth moved lower, pressing kisses to her neck, her shoulders, her collarbone. His hands followed, caressing her skin, exploring the curves and valleys of her body. Pyonie bit her lip, as she fought to suppress the moans rising in her throat.
Sukuna's lips blazed a trail down her chest, his tongue flicking out to taste her skin. Pyonie's breath hitched as his mouth closed around her n!pple. She dug her nails into her palms, drawing on every ounce of willpower she possessed to remain still.
But then, Sukuna's hand found a particularly sensitive spot on her waist, and a giggle bubbled up from her throat. It was a sound of pure, unbridled pleasure, and it was her undoing.
Sukuna's eyes lit up with triumph. "You lose," he growled, his voice rough with desire. "You reacted, and now you're mine."
"It's not fair!" Pyonie protested, her voice high and breathless. "That was just a tickle, it didn't count!"
But Sukuna was having none of it. He captured her lips in a fiery kiss, his tongue delving deep into her mouth. Pyonie whimpered, her body melting into his embrace. She knew she had lost, knew that she was now at his mercy.
As Sukuna's hands roamed her body, igniting fires wherever they touched, he murmured against her skin. "Resisting will only bring you more pain, Pyonie," he warned, his voice a dark promise. "You're better off surrendering to me, giving yourself over to the pleasure I can give you."
Pyonie knew he was right. She had no choice but to submit, to let him take her as he pleased.
As the nights wore on, Pyonie found herself trapped in a cycle of torment and ecstasy. Each evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon and the shadows lengthened, Sukuna would appear at the door, his eyes gleaming with a predatory hunger.
At first, Pyonie tried to resist. She would close her eyes, clench her fists, and imagine herself in a different world - a world where she was free, where she could run and dance and laugh without fear. She would hum soft melodies, the tunes of her childhood, hoping to drown out the sound of Sukuna's ragged breathing.
But it was no use. Sukuna knew her body too well, knew exactly how to touch her to make her weak in the knees. His tongue would trace the contours of her skin, leaving a trail of fire in its wake. His lips would suckle at her most sensitive spots, drawing out gasps and moans she couldn't suppress.
And then there was the mouth on his stomach, a second set of lips that seemed to have a mind of its own. It would latch onto her inner thighs, her delicate folds, teasing her until she was writhing beneath him, begging for more.
Sukuna took his time, mapping out every inch of her body, memorizing every quiver and sigh. He would circle her entrance with a finger, teasing her until she was dripping with need, before finally plunging inside. He would experiment with angles and positions, finding new ways to make her scream his name.
As the weeks passed, Pyonie found herself losing the battle. Her body betrayed her, aching for Sukuna's touch even as her mind recoiled. She would anticipate his visits, her heart racing with a heady mix of fear and desire.
Guilt gnawed at her, eating away at her resolve. She hated herself for craving his touch, for the way her body would light up like a live wire whenever he was near. She tried to fight it, tried to cling to her sense of self, but it was a losing battle.
Every night, as Sukuna claimed her, as he filled her with his seed and marked her as his own, Pyonie would weep silent tears. She was losing herself, piece by piece, to this man who had stolen her away from everything she had ever known. ***
Pyonie sat on the edge of the futon, her knees drawn up to her chest as she stared blankly at the wall. She tried to cling to the memories of her old life - the comfort of her family, the joy of reading manga in her cozy bed, the softness of her plushies. But it was getting harder and harder to hold onto those precious fragments of her past.
Sukuna's absence was a double-edged sword. While it gave her a temporary relief from his relentless attentions, it also meant she was once again bound and helpless, a prisoner in his home. The ropes chafed against her ankle, a constant reminder of her captivity.
Desperation clawed at her chest, urging her to act. She had to find a way out, had to escape this nightmare before it consumed her entirely. And so, when Uraume appeared with her meal, she seized her chance.
Pyonie looked up at him, her eyes pleading. "Uraume, please... help me. I need to get back home. I don't belong here."
Uraume's eyes filled with pity. "I'm sorry, miss. I cannot help you. You belong to Lord Sukuna now."
"No!" Pyonie cried, leaping to her feet. "I was forced here against my will. Sukuna is ruining me, changing me into someone I'm not. I'm not the same person I was before."
Uraume shook his head sadly. "Lord Sukuna has marked you as his own. You are his prized possession now."
Pyonie grabbed Uraume's arm, her nails digging into his skin. "Tell me, Uraume, were you forced to serve him too?"
Uraume pulled his arm away gently, his expression unreadable. "No, miss. I serve Lord Sukuna willingly."
"Why?" Pyonie demanded, her voice rising in pitch. "How could you willingly serve someone like him?"
"Lord Sukuna has a depth to him that you cannot comprehend. He gave me a purpose, a new meaning to my life." Uraume's gaze hardened.
"What about other women?" Pyonie pressed. "Has he kept other women here?"
Uraume shook his head. "No. You're the first. Sukuna has never shown interest in any other woman. Until you, he was content with his solitude."
A flicker of something - was it pride? - sparked in Pyonie's chest. Even Sukuna, with all his power and cruelty, had never desired another woman the way he desired her. But it was a hollow victory, tainted by the knowledge of her own captivity.
"What about Yorozu?" she pressed. "The woman who came here, trying to seduce Sukuna? Surely he must have felt something for her, with her beauty and her obvious affection."
Uraume chuckled, a sound devoid of mirth. "Yorozu is delusional. Sukuna never laid a hand on her, barely acknowledged her existence. You, Pyonie, hold a special place in his heart. I've never seen him as happy or as concerned as he is with you."
She looked up at Uraume, her eyes shining with unshed tears. "Even if Sukuna cherishes me, it doesn't make this right. He's still forcing me to be here, to do things I don't want to do. How can that ever be okay?"
"He takes what he wants," Uraume said simply. "It is the way of the strong. And you, Pyonie, have caught the eye of the strongest sorcerer in all of Japan. That is not a small thing."
Pyonie's heart hammered in her chest as she processed Uraume's words. Was that all she was to Sukuna? A prize to be won, a trophy to be displayed? The thought made her feel sick to her stomach.
And yet, even as she rebelled against the idea, a small part of her couldn't help but feel a twisted sense of pride. Sukuna, the King of Curses, had chosen her above all others. It was a dark and dangerous honor, but an honor nonetheless.
She shook her head, trying to clear the confusing thoughts. None of this changed the fact that she needed to escape, needed to find a way back to her own life and her own time. She knew she had to be patient, to bide her time until the right moment presented itself.
As Uraume left, closing the door behind him, Pyonie curled up on the futon, hugging her knees to her chest. Tears streamed down her face, but she made no sound. She was tired of crying, tired of fighting, tired of hoping for something that would never come.
All she could do was survive, and pray that someday, somehow, she would find a way back to the life she had lost. Back to the girl she used to be, before Sukuna had stolen her away and shattered her world.

Chapter 9. Provoking the King of Curses
As the days dragged on, Pyonie threw herself into the task of annoying Sukuna with a single-minded determination. She knew that her very freedom depended on her ability to make him hate her, and she was not about to let anything stand in her way.
She started small, with little acts of deliberate clumsiness. She would bump into him as she walked past, spilling tea on his robes. At mealtimes, she became a master of petty thievery. She would reach across the table and snatch bites from his plate, popping them into her mouth with permission.
When she read, she did so in the most grating way possible. She would sing-song the words, her voice high-pitched and out of tune. She would ramble on about the stories from her own world, describing fantastical creatures and impossible technologies, knowing full well that he would have no frame of reference.
Sometimes, she would pretend to be confused by the simplest things. She would ask him to explain basic concepts, over and over again, as if she couldn't understand them. She would act lost, even when he had shown her the way a dozen times before.
Through it all, Sukuna remained frustratingly calm. He would sigh, or roll his eyes, or mutter under his breath. But he never lost his temper, never raised his voice or his hand. It was as if her childish antics were nothing more than a minor inconvenience, a mildly amusing diversion from his daily routine.
Pyonie's heart sank as she realized that her attempts to annoy Sukuna were having no effect. No matter what she did, he always seemed to brush it off with a laugh or a shrug. It was as if nothing she could do would truly upset him.
She had tried everything. She refused to bathe for days on end, hoping that the stench of her unwashed body would drive him away. But when he finally noticed, he just chuckled and said, "I've smelled far worse things than a little body odor, Pyonie. Don't bother trying to repel me with your lack of hygiene."
She had even gone so far as to hug Uraume tightly in front of Sukuna, pretending that she was in love with the boy. But Sukuna had just laughed at that too, clearly unperturbed by her ridiculous display of affection.
Uraume, for his part, had looked thoroughly uncomfortable in her arms. When she finally let him go, she had felt a wave of embarrassment wash over her. "I'm so sorry, Uraume," she had stammered, her face burning with shame. "I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable."
Uraume had nodded awkwardly, clearly relieved to be free of her grasp. And as she watched him scurry away, Pyonie had felt a sting of guilt. She had used him, all in a desperate attempt to make Sukuna jealous. And it had been pointless, just like everything else she had tried.
As the days dragged on, Pyonie grew more and more frustrated. She felt like a fool, a child throwing a tantrum in the hopes of getting her way. ***
One sunny morning while Pyonie lay deep in her thoughts in her room, she peeked through the door, her curiosity piqued by the commotion outside. She saw a stunning woman with long black hair and alluring figure enter the house, almost completely naked save for an open robe that barely concealed her voluptuous curves. The woman called out to Sukuna, her voice a mix of boldness and fervent desire.
When she spotted Sukuna, the woman strode forward with bold confidence, her smirk widening into a self-assured grin. "Sukuna," she said firmly, her voice dripping with certainty, "I know you've missed me. You don’t have to admit it."
Without hesitation, she closed the distance between them, her fingers brushing against the fabric of his robe—not to test his patience, but to claim his attention. Her eyes burned with unwavering determination as she locked her gaze onto his, her presence as commanding as it was unsettling.
"You and I," she declared, her tone sharp yet enticing, "are inevitable. No one else can stand beside you the way I can. No one else can understand your power, your greatness, like I do."
Leaning in, her smile turned into a confident challenge. "You can try to deny it, but you won’t escape me, Sukuna. I’ll make you mine—not someday, but soon."
Sukuna's expression darkened, his jaw tightening as he pushed her away with a flick of his hand, his scowl radiating disdain.
Uraume rushed over, quickly grabbed the scantily clad woman away from Sukuna before his temper could boil over. Pyonie watched as Uraume pushed the woman outside. The woman huffed in frustration, but allowed herself to be led away.
As the door closed behind them, Pyonie emerged from her hiding spot, her heart racing with questions. She approached Sukuna tentatively. "Who was that woman?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Sukuna sighed heavily, his eyes narrowing. "That was Yorozu," he growled, his tone laced with disdain. "A fellow jujutsu sorcerer. She's been pursuing me for some time now, but I have no interest in her advances."
Pyonie studied Sukuna's face, noticing the flicker of irritation in his eyes. "She seems to be in love with you," she commented softly. "Why don't you return her feelings?"
At this, Sukuna's eyes flashed with anger. "Don't bother asking," he snapped, his voice sharp as a blade. "Yorozu is nothing but a nuisance, a troublesome distraction. Her presence is an eyesore to me."
Pyonie flinched at the vehemence in his tone, surprised by the depth of his aversion. She had expected him to be pleased by the woman's affections, but instead he seemed genuinely repulsed.
As she watched Sukuna stalk off, his broad shoulders tense with barely contained rage, Pyonie felt a strange mix of emotions swirling within her.
She couldn't deny she felt sorry for Yorozu, who had dared to love a man who could never return her affections. Yet, alongside, there was a flicker of annoyance toward the woman—a feeling Pyonie couldn't quite bring herself to admit. And somewhere, buried deep beneath the confusion, was a subtle sense of relief, though she refused to acknowledge why Sukuna's rejection of Yorozu brought her any comfort at all.
