how quickly should we be expecting to hear back about apps?

i’m going to post accepted applicants all at once in about a week or so to open the server all together rather than have people trickling in. however i think everyone who applied so far is fantastic so all you have to do is wait for that end date!! (ill have a concrete date in a few days, hopefully)

When we submit an application, how will we know if the app has sent properly?

if it goes through you should get a “your response had been recorded” screen, as far as i know? if you want to double check and make absolute sure i have your application though, message with the name of your character (or your name!) and i can privately let you know if it was received :)

hello! in the application, you describe the roleplay format. i don't really understand this, could you elaborate?

yeah, i’m sorry, that doesn’t come across too well without bolding. it’ll be something like this:

Brindlestar: Tail held low and shoulders tensed, the mottled she-cat crept through the tall grass. She wasn’t alone, that much was obvious, and whoever was following her wasn’t being very subtle about it. At the next sound of a cracking twig, the leader suddenly straightens, ears pinning back as she rounds on the source of the noise. “I know you’re there. Show yourself.” She challenges, eyes narrowing as she stiffly holds her ground against the stranger.

so we’ll be using a basic script style of sorts, just without bolding the actions since chunks of discord bold are hard to read. i would like members to aim for a few sentences to a paragraph for each response!

For the "character reference" on the application, what are you expecting to see? Is a picture of a cat with the same/similar appearance to the character alright? I could draw a reference sheet, but that would take me some time.

yes! a picture of a real life cat that looks vaguely like you want your character to is perfect and what i expect for that, but if it’s an already made character and you have a drawn reference on hand i’m cool with that too. i actually thought i had that noted on the application but i guess i didn’t, sorry about the confusion!

is there a medicine cat spot open for Cliffclan? I checked your allegiances and it was unfilled there but in the latest post you mentioned that you need warriors and a deputy so i got kinda confused?

all of the allegiances are unfilled right now just because i haven’t gotten around to updating them just yet, but most likely i’ll have the medicine cat apprentice slot up for grabs (possibly both apprentice and actual med cat, i haven’t quite decided yet)! that’ll be a rank that you’ll have to put in for with your second character once accepted though :)

i’m happy to announce that sundown will be opening for its first round of applications this friday, 6/28! cliffclan will be the first opening, with mireclan following in the coming weeks. keep your eyes peeled for the application announcement, and in the meantime, get familiar with the clans via the links available on the blog, or by asking any questions that you need answering. we hope to see you in the shadows soon.
