So. I think I'm kinda over this blog. Some people I don't really want involved in my life know about it (no one that's following me so pls don't think it's you) and so I've felt very limited in what I can post on here and I don't really dig that.
let me know if you still wanna keep in touch tho. I'll keep this blog up because I haven't got a good reason to take it down, I just won't be using it anymore really.

Hm to spend three days in a 15th century "palace" on an island full of lavender fields that was founded around the same time Alexander the Great was doing his thing and blow out the remainder of my money or not?

I've been attacked by so many damn bugs here in Croatia you would think I was camping Jesus Christ. Also the only television channels I get in my apartment here are from the Middle East?? No Croatian or English channels, just middle eastern ones and a few German ones...

Finally in Croatia. While I'm happy to see my family tomorrow I'm fucking ecstatic I don't have any trains left to take. 30+ hrs of back to back train rides is a fucking nightmare.

Finally in Germany! The land that gave me the last name that nobody can ever spell correctly! My two interactions with Germans in Germany so far have been being yelled at by a German outside of Frankfurt airport when I was fourteen and royally pissing off a German at the train info desk today when I told him I couldn't print out my ticket but I had it on my phone. Luv u Germany.

Brussels is a shit hole. Leaving tomorrow for Cologne and then Munich. Then I'm catching another train to Zagreb and I'll be there for the night before getting to 艩ibenik the next day.
I always thought traveling by myself would be fun and exciting but really it's just extremely stressful and rather lonely.

Brussels is really creepy, man. I can't get wifi anywhere which cuts off my only line of communication and I keep getting cat called every time I step out of my hostel. And some guy got in my face after I didn't respond to him and tried grabbing my arm. I've only been here eight hours... I think I'm gonna change my plans and go to another city because, honesty, for the first time since I've been traveling I'm feeling super unsafe :(

Number one thing I'll miss most about this trip is getting wasted with my TAs and discussing like, the works of John Keats in the middle of the night while eating Indian take away.

So Les Miserables London was everything I could have dreamt of and more and I'm the happiest person in the world right now.
The actors were all really amazing too. I was so blown away by the kids! They were so talented and adorable and Gavroche was so much more involved than in the movie which made me so happy! The woman who played Eponine, Carrie Hope Fletcher, had the most beautiful voice I've ever heard, I was so stunned. It was cool to see Montparnasse! I mean, he's horrible but he's not really in the film so that was exciting. Also the Thenardiers were brilliant and gosh I despise them! Jean Valjean was obviously amazing. They had a bit where he and Eponine interacted and he tried, a bit, to protect her and that was probably one of my favorite bits? It was just a sweet, simple interaction but it was so sweet to see how Jean Valjean cares for everyone he comes across and it made me happy that Eponine had someone that cared about her, if even for a moment.
Ok but the best thing for me was the man playing Grantaire, Christian Edwards. I couldn't tear my eyes away from him the entire time; he had such a subtle way of moving about the stage and all of his little actions captured the cynicism of Grantaire and his relationship with Enjolras perfectly. He was loud and friendly during Red and Black, shouting "I do!" when Enjolras asks Marius "who cares about your lonely soul?" and tried to (jokingly) kiss Enjolras when Enjolras got frustrated. When Eponine died he just sat there holding Marius to comfort him. He scrambled after Gavroche when he climbed to the other side of the barricade. During Drink With Me he kept trying to grab Enjolras' hand or shoulder and Enjolras kept brushing him off and but at the end Enjolras took his hand before climbing the barricade and Grantaire, who had just been sitting about drinking rushed to meet him at the barricade. I could go on forever. I couldn't stop watching him, jesus.
I honestly can't think of anything I would have changed?? It was perfect and I'm in love with everyone involved.聽I'm sorry if this is rambling, but it's a dream come true! I'm so grateful to have experienced this.
