Sorry for kind of disappearing for a bit, I beat the shit out of my depression and I think it worked because I'm actually writing now.

I will be writing Beginnings of an End first before picking up Shattering Stars. I have no clue when I'll finish the next chapter of BoaE though because there's so many thoughts in my head and so many ways I could write the final conclusion.

So I've seen Blues of a Cafe mentioned occasionally, and I've always just gone "huh, that's cool!" and then never read it

Anyway, I stumbled upon this video at midnight and my first thought was "oh. Oh this is them"

Fun fact!

Chapter 33 came out different than what I had originally intended for it.

Sonic WAS NOT going to be that sick. At most, it would have been a small cough that had him going to the nearest drug store to get some cough candies or something. A Sonic fan would have come up to him and ask to take a picture and autograph. That fan then posted the picture on social media and greatly exaggerated Sonic’s sickness, leading to Sonic’s friends wishing him to get better and even some bored news media outlet would have wrote articles on it. And the ending would have Metal show up at his doorstep, incredibly concerned because of the exaggerated rumors 💔

This would have also showed more of Sonic’s depression, moving through the days one by one, much like how chapter 31 is. But as I was beginning to write chapter 33, I kind of didn’t want to do the same thing??? So I went and took out an old headcanon I have and that was how chapter 33 came to be.

I also figured it would draw great parallels between Sonic and Eggman and how Metal sees that too. Organics don't live forever. Which makes for a very interesting conversation next chapter!!!

Leo happy because he finally gets to stop lying so much to Usagi who he cares for very much and all he has to worry about now is answering questions in a way that won't effect how he treats presentpast-time Leo:

Usagi getting his belief system turned on it's head and then finding out all the wacky shit Leo and his family did/have gone through and how he doesn't think even he, or anyone could've been able to survive going through all that at that age with Leo acting like every other month/week of a threat to his life, his family, his allies/friends, city, country and world are things he's used to dealing with:

Usagi: as someone used to shenanigans finding me or finding them myself I feel you...but on the other hand what the fuck Leonardo-san?

For this particular chapter, I have some good content that I think everyone will like. Some might even say it's unexpected. There's a reason why the "mutual pining" tag is in my fic. That is all I will say 💙
