I noticed in your newest video you used a image of a hollyleaf map or pmv,so are you teasing that you will be realisng this video soon and if not can you send a link to this video if it is not your/
Ah, it's actually a mock image that I drew just for the purpose of representing MAPs in general. It doesn't correspond to any real MAP that I or anyone else is making.

I haven't checked but could Cloudtail and Brightheart be the parent or do the have Dewnose's litter in the book because if not they would all ready be great parents to Sparkpelt and Alderheart.(another option could be they are adopted by Briarlight and Toadstep or Hazletail and Icecloud)And I'm sorry I just keep asking questions that you probably aren't planing to answer for at least another year.(Loved the new video by the way)
No problem. Dewnose and Ambermoon are born at the end of the book. (I didn’t include Snowbush for genetic variation reasons later down the line. But any of those options could work depending on who is imagining the world and what choices they’re making.

If you ever did rewrite the a vision of shadows arc would Sparkpelt and Alderhearts parents still be Squirelflight and Brambleclaw or would it be some one else and would there two siblings live.
Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw aren't together by the end of Paws of Stars, so a hypothetical follow up series couldn't star their kits. Alderheart and Sparkpelt might be someone else's kits, or adopted into the clan, or they could not exist at all. It's really up to the mind of whoever wants to consider the follow up story. Whether or not they're the protagonists would honestly depend more on what the new story is like and whether or not they would best serve it.

Re watching your Alderheart video. I think one reason I love him so much despite him not really going through much of an arc (even though i still really appreciate a character with flaws and anxieties being presented), is because his main character trait is kindness. I have such a soft spot for kind characters. But with him mainly being known for being kind means I never have to worry about the books suddenly turning him into a bully or anything to force us to sympathise with the main character. I know he'll always be kind and I just really appreciate a character like that. Someone I can rely on to always do the nice and kind thing.
Oh definitely. There's plenty of reason to appreciate characters who are just nice. Ferncloud, Thrushpelt, Brambleberry, Whitestorm, Lilyheart, Leafpool, Dovewing, Frostpaw the list goes on.

This is why you can't finish your book
How long have you been trying to finish that idea you had for a book? Why is it that you can never see the finish line?
There’s different reasons for different writers, but in most cases it comes down to one simple thing:
Overwhelm.
You look at your project and you WANT to work on it, but…
you need to research a topic first to write it well
you need to go back and work out a character’s backstory first
you should probably fix the consistency of this character’s voice, they changed so much since you started chapter 1
you probably want to plot this out more
a couple of these chapters here and there are just a mess… which you promised to deal with later
Basically…. you’ve got a HEAP of tasks and issues ahead of you that you have to work out, before you can call the piece complete. And it is SO much work. And it’s overwhelming.
It’s easier to say you’ll untangle it a little later, or when you’ve got a clearer head.
But allow me to let you in on a little secret…
Writing is always messy.
The only way writing gets less messy is if you write it out, and then you rewrite it. And then maybe rewrite it again.
But the only way to move forward is put all these current issues out of your mind, until you finish that first draft, no matter how much of a MESS it is.
It’ll be a smaller mess in the next rewrite.

Did you make any of the main characters LGBTQ? Or was that left to side characters? Especially Ivypool, who most see as a lesbian, did you take her in the direction with Blossomfall (a wildly popular ship)? I'm only on book four or five (I tend to ignore titles, lmao, so I'm not sure, but it's right after Blossompaw is named Blossomfall and is announced as a warrior)
Hollyleaf is ace which she does have time to confirm and I personally believe Dovewing may be demi from the way that she forms relationships but Jayfeather and Ivypool's sexualities aren't really something they get to touch on. Jayfeather never gets a crush but also doesn't really care to think about it when he has so much else going on and Ivypool's relationships are left up to future headcanons to decide. She spends the series in a state of heightened anxiety and anticipation since she's constantly in so much danger and is so focused on the battle, so what she would do or who she would be interested in after everything is done isn't something I will set in stone. The reason I opted for mainly LGBTQ characters in the supporting and background cast is because their lives aren't as hectic right now and they had time to reflect and consider who they are while our main characters have been confronted with dozens of obstacles every step of the way. In a world where their populations are so small and, statistically, so few cats in a single generation would be some flavor of LGBTQ, I can't imagine the clans would have had reason to create terminology for the different ways a cat can be, and without others' experiences to compare your own to or language to relate to, it takes a lot of time and self-reflection to realize you may be different from those around you.

Tempest Rift (20th Anniversary Story)
Oh! And if you didn't see it over on Youtube or Twitter, it is the 20th Anniversary of Warriors! In honor of the celebration, a large collection of fans put together all sorts of art and story projects, and I joined forces with artists Pita and Lupa to make an illustrated short story called Tempest Rift about Windclan in the 6-month period between Power of Three and Omen of the Stars. It has Owlwhisker and Sunstrike as protagonists and covers grief, clan politics, friendships, challenges in mentoring, and most of all, navigating relationships with family members who don't see eye-to-eye with you.
Check it out if you're interested!

Medicine Cats As A Punishment
I think a big problem I have with several characters, especially but not exclusively disabled ones, being forced into the medicine den isn't that I wish they could be warriors but that they are actively warping clan and fandom perception of the medicine cat position as being more of a punishment.
Going through the main Thunderclan timeline, Goosefeather, Yellowfang, Cinderpelt, Jayfeather, and Alderheart were all forced to be medicine cats because of their circumstances, and Spottedleaf and Leafpool both ended up resigned to the duty even though they initially preferred different lives (both with love interests, by the way). Spottedleaf, who was originally portrayed to love her job unequivocally in the first arc, was retconned in her novella to have wanted to be a warrior but becoming a medicine cat to run away from an abusive relationship and the same was done to Yellowfang in her super edition. She originally seemed to deeply prefer the job and role of a medicine cat but was retconned to have a magic power and bad relationship that forced her into the job. At this point the only Thunderclan medicine cats who wanted the job and always wanted the job are ones from several generations ago that get little to no focus during their time as medicine cats, with Featherwhisker being the most prominent one.
Even outside Thunderclan, our POV medicine cats, Shadowsight in Shadowclan, Frostpaw in Riverclan, and Moth Flight in Windclan all have reservations about the roles they're in or stories focused around the way that being a medicine cat has negatively impacted their lives. All three got the job because they had connections to ancestors rather than because they said they wanted the job, and all three faced backlash and adversity because of it. The only true exception in this case is Mothwing, whose adversity mostly came at the paws of her brother because she always wanted to be a medicine cat, but her journey through her own book and Mistystar's, along with every other medicine cat's comments on her besides Leafpool's, is showing that she's not like a real medicine cat and can only ever do half of the job. The part about being a spiritual advisor that makes medicine cats authorities in their clans is absent with Mothwing.
My basic problem with all of this is that it makes the role of a medicine cat, supposedly secondary leadership figures in their clans and an extremely honored, important role, seem undesirable. It feels like a thing that some cats have to do rather than what a few cats get the chance to do. If medicine cats were as respected in practice as they are on paper, I don't think it would be a problem for some, though not all, disabled cats to become medicine cats, particularly those who explicitly chose to follow that path. Cinderpelt took on the position because she was having fun learning from Yellowfang and wanted to help. Brightheart learned some herb skills to pass the time while in the medicine den, and never forgot that even though she chose to be a warrior. Briarlight chose to be the caretaker of the medicine den because she wanted something that she could do safely while still helping the clan in some way like they had always helped her. (Obviously in several cases there are still issues with wording or the framing of these cats as requiring service to the clan to be fulfilled but on a conceptual level-) Jayfeather is the cat I most wish I could change in this regard, but not by making him a warrior. He is the most passionate and creative medicine cat we've ever been shown, inventing several brand new medicine and gardening techniques that saved cats and herbs Leafpool was ready to give up on. He was never that passionate about his warrior training except in that it was the position that, in his eyes, would avoid him being a failure. But being a medicine cat was never the losing spot. It was never supposed to be where we throw the useless cats to give up on them. It's supposed to be an honor, and for far more than the dreams or powers Starclan gave him. If cats actually saw it that way, I don't think Jayfeather would mind eventually choosing to be a medicine cat when he realizes what it's like, and I don't think we as a fandom would mind as much when, again some of the disabled characters pursue that path. It would still be important for there to be lots more non-disabled medicine cats though and lots of non-medicine-cat disabled characters to show that these roles aren't synonymous.
And, just as a final reminder, this is just my thoughts on one aspect of the problem and I do not think this would solve all ableism in the series. It would just be nice to not frame the career path chosen for several of them as a punishment necessitated by their inability to perform warrior tasks (which honestly would fit for Alderheart or Yellowfang as much as for Jayfeather or Cinderpelt).
"Medicine cats are great" is my overall point, and I wish they were treated with the respect they supposedly have.
