I saw these tags, and to answer the question, it is not actually Beastars inspired, I am just a furry and think that wolf and rabbit match Sebastian and Ciel's personalities. The animal choice is otherwise a coincidence, I've never actually read that manga!

I have other furry themed art of them too, and have picked out a number of animals for the rest of the cast as well! Someday I hope to have the time to draw everyone. 😁

For example, the servants are Finny as a golden retriever, Mey-Rin as a Shanxi Xigou (a Chinese sight hound), Bard as an American pit bull terrier and Tanaka as a Japanese Kai Ken.

My choice of wolf for Sebastian was to offset the domestic canines of the servants, that while are still considered predators, are also meant to be loyal to their masters, whereas Sebastian is still a wild animal with the ptoential danger behind every action. Ciel's choice for rabbit wasn't entirely because of being a prey animal (tho that IS part of it), domestic rabbits have very distinct personalities, and can be very bratty (while also having fragile respiratory health).

Originally, Ciel was a kitten before I reconsidered and made him a rabbit instead!

I also like the idea that while Ciel is a prey animal, and considered weak (like how he is seen as a weak child in canon), and flipping the trope on it's head with how he is actually incredibly deadly and a force to be reckoned with, regardless of his age and physical stature. Plus, the image of this little rabbit with a big scary wolf on a leash is a fun dynamic and matches his canon self with being a child earl with a demon at his command.

Long story short, I like to play with tropes/dynamics when it comes to giving characters animal counterparts. If I hadn't consciously decided I wanted to stick to mammals, I would probably have made Sebastian a raven or some other type of corvid!

So here's the real question... are you even apart of the Black Butler fandom? Because that's what we're talking about here. If you're not, then you're probably not aware of the actual fandom climate here, because it's very different than just generically speaking about antis vs proshippers.

Of course you don't have to engage, except when people WANT to engage they get shamed for wanting to. Maybe step out and think about the other side here that's actually trying to take part in the community and are talked down for "shipping what antis like" or are accused of being too "scared" to ship things like Sebaciel.

This isn't about people who quietly chose not to engage, this is about people who actively shame people who are looking for community within the proship side of their fandom. Except you're turning this into something it's not about.

There are two sides to this, and you're choosing to ignore the actual point the OP is trying to make to further your own opinion.

And to be frank. If you're ashamed to ship things antis like, that's a personal issue y'all need to work through. Plenty of people aren't, and just want to be able to socialize on SOCIAL media about their faves.
