🌸 my good omens fics 🌸
it's about time I do a masterpost about all of my fics! thank you for the constant support 💘
canon fics:
🌸 in the cracks of light, I dreamed of you (T, 60k, 7/7): post season 2 fix it, angst with a happy ending, season 3 speculation; my very first good omens fic! Aziraphale fails Heaven's test, Crowley drives the getaway car, they need to find their way back to each other while finding a way to save the world. Piece of cake!
🌸 how you've haunted me (E, 10k, 1/1): post canon, getting more together, south downs cottage; an angel and demon move in together and learn many things about one another, while also learning to stop assuming things about one another.
alternate universes:
🌸 Borrowed Words (M, 94k, 13/13): human AU, lovers to strangers to friends to lovers, second chances, small towns; writer Crowley meets the long lost love of his life after twenty three years of no contact. Aziraphale has now custody of his niece, Crowley has writer's block and is navigating life after an Accident, and the small town where they meet again may be just what they both need.
this work is part of a series: so I'll borrow words from all my favourite paragraphs, which contains two other works with the og:
💘 as I said in my letters (T, 5k 1/1): set after the last chapter of Borrowed Words but before the epilogue, a silly little addition about caring and being cared for.
💘 Picture You (T, 9k, 1/1): scenes from Borrowed Words, Aziraphale's Version. A collection of nine scenes over the years, missing and codas from the original work from Aziraphale's point of view.
🌸 and salt the Earth behind you (E, 59k, 9/9): human AU, forbidden relationship, murder mystery; detective (profiler, actually) Aziraphale should have dropped C.I Crowley the moment he realized he was falling in love with him. Now they have a string of murders to solve, and no intention to let each other go.
🌸 Beautiful Things (M, 65k, 12/12): human AU, strangers to lovers, forced proximity, weaponized coziness; two disgraced London snobs are sent to the Isle of Skye to... 'recharge'. New neighbours and temporary owners of identical cottages, they fall in love with the island, with the part of themselves they thought they lost and with each other, of course. featuring Fluffy the dog!
this work is part of a series: to the moon and to saturn, which contains one another work:
💘 you and me, always forever (T, 6k, 1/1): Valentine's Day sequel where Aziraphale and Crowley, back in London, became dog grandparents! Panic and sweetness ensues.
🌸 every day is a holiday (when I'm near to you) (M, 59k, 6/6): human AU, best friends to lovers, fake dating, Christmas; when Aziraphale's former homophobic brother invites him to his wedding (to a man!), a ten day extravaganza in the Maldives at Christmas, bringing his best friend Crowley as his plus one seems the only logical thing to do to survive. Surely no long-buried feelings will come to the surface, right?
🌸 the taste that your lips allow (M, 90k, 12/12): vampire AU, strangers to lovers, magic and humor; not-ordinary vampire Crowley meets Aziraphale-like-the-angel in a downpour, and his whole life changes. Falling in love for the first time while the new management of the Honorable Ensemble of London's Lurkers (you guessed it, H.E.L.L.) wants you dead may be a bit chaotic, but all the best love stories are messy. featuring witches, spells, artificial blood and antiques!
fan project:
🌸 little by little (T, 16k, 11/11): eleven ficlets I wrote off of prompts people sent me on tumblr in exchange for donations to one of four charities working against gender based violence. 11 ficlets, canon and AUs, all under 2k words!

The Trouble with HELL (12/19)
A GO Podcasters/Investigators AU (rating: eventually E)

The Trouble with HELL by beerok23
Summary:
Award-winning true crime podcast Va-voom, sorted! has been on hiatus since his author, Anthony Crowley, has published his first murder mystery, Murder on the M25. When his associate Nina begs him to follow a story on a train crash, he meets PI Aziraphale Eastgate, and he soon realises that the charming Apparition in tartan is the real voice behind his favourite podcast, Mr Fell's Mystery Haven. Crowley can't possibly imagine that Aziraphale is starting his own true crime podcast to investigate the same story. Feeling the pressure of competition, Crowley goes back to his first love and wages a Podcast War against the angel until they both realise that the case is bigger than they originally thought. With so much at stake, will they keep working against each other, or will they put their differences aside and learn to trust one another to uncover the truth?
Chapter 12/19: Escape (6.2k words)
Summary: Aziraphale gets home after his tête-à-tête with Brown and Crowley confronts him (he’s pissed, but he’s in love, what can you do about it?). While they share new info about the case, they are interrupted by the arrival of two unexpected (and very unwelcome) guests.
Excerpt from Chapter 12:
Aziraphale didn’t want to fight, but he also didn’t like Crowley’s unspoken accusation. “What are you implying?” “Just that Mr Moquette seemed particularly interested in a very specific kind of tartan.” Aziraphale scoffed and rolled his eyes. He couldn’t believe he had to reassure Crowley of this, but it felt necessary. “I didn’t sleep with him, Crowley. Unlike others, I don’t… shag people that I’ve just met. I wasn’t interested, not even in the slightest.” Oh, he hated being so crass. Crowley jumped up. “Excuse-me… did I come across as someone who gives a fuck about your dating life? I don’t– Wait a minute. Wh-what are you implying?” “That Greta ‘sweetheart’ Kleinschmidt obviously wanted more than a mere signature on a book!” Crowley looked at him in shock, wide-eyed and wide-mouthed. “What the fuck could have happened in the 49 seconds I was outside with her? Even I am not that good!” Aziraphale was grasping at straws. “And just because I don’t like driving, it doesn’t mean that I always like being the passenger! And what is a DILF anyway?” Crowley waited a second, then he widened his arms in despair. “What the hell are you even talking about?! And where did you learn that word?” Aziraphale huffed. “I don’t know! Greta called you DILF!” Crowley looked outraged. “How old did she think I was?! Do I look like a 54-year-old actor with five kids?!” They both sighed in exasperation, glaring at each other. Aziraphale was confused and angry. But most of all, he was tired of arguing over this.

With so much at stake, will they keep working against each other, or will they put their differences aside and learn to trust one another to uncover the truth?
Chapter 11/19: Mr. Brightside (6.4k words)
Summary: It’s queer single’s night, so Crowley and Aziraphale decide to pause their marriage ruse on the off chance of finding more Clues. It doesn’t turn out to be the best decision they ever made. (You know, they are detectives, they are supposed to catch a vibe and read the signs, and yet, when it comes to the two of them, they are just two idiots.)
Excerpt from Chapter 11:
“You see, that's the main problem. Small town, two very big companies. Everybody knows everything about everyone. Travis here works for HH and had an affair with Marvin from CD. ‘t was a bit of a scandal.” Sensing that he’d touched an open (but potentially interesting) nerve, Aziraphale asked, “Relationships between workers of either company aren’t allowed?” Greta mumbled, “Eh… you know, it’s frowned upon. And– Whoa, DILF alert!” Aziraphale had no idea of what a ‘dilf’ was, but he followed Greta’s eyes to find out what she was talking about. Not what, who. She was admiring the tall, slender silhouette of a very smug Anthony Crowley making his glorious entrance in the pub, designer sunglasses over his eyes and devilish smiles thrown in everyone’s direction. “Oh my god, that’s no random DILF, that’s Anthony J. Crowley!” (Azirapale winced at the ‘J’, but obviously kept it to himself.) “Who?” he feigned ignorance. “The redhead?” Crowley was wearing a wonderful charcoal suit over a limed spruce coloured shirt. (The wine red tie was still perfectly knotted, and Aziraphale couldn’t avoid the rush of possessiveness caused by the sight.)

Low to no angst (human AUs)
Mmm, Ok, right, yeah. I know. The large majority of what I read is low to no angst, I know. Which doesn't necessarily mean without tension or conflict, by the way. This list might as well have been called Just another human AU list because I wanted to make one. What can I say, I want our Ineffables happy.
There's No Algorithm For The Ineffable, by Thinkinginscripts. Rated T, 12k. P. Sep 24.
Aziraphale runs a matchmaking agency for queer professionals, and he's very successful at his job. Crowley has come to accept that he might need help to find a lifelong partner; unfortunately there seems to be something quite wrong with all three candidates Aziraphale introduces him to. Zero angst, this fic is heartwarming and adorable.
Growing On Me, by Hermiola. Rated M, 120k. P. Jan 25.
I subscribed to this fic when it first came out and had been wanting to read it since then.
I'm SO glad I finally got to it! (Thank you Good Omens Fic Club on Discord!)
I loved it.
Enemies to lovers, forced proximity human AU. Crowley is a rockstar in need of a lyricist. Enter erotica writer Aziraphale.
The humour throughout the story was a treat and more than once I got looks from my fellow commuters because I was giggling or snorting laughter.
Crowley and Aziraphale's slow journey into introspection was very sweet to witness.
I'm always partial to fictions that feature the Them and Warlock, and their characterisation here was spot on and really entertaining; I will love Hermiola's Warlock for life!
This story was captivating, entertaining, sexy, incredibly funny, and made me want to read more whenever I had to put it down. Virtually no angst. A new classic!
To Catch A Ghost, by anatomicgirl. Rated T, 17k. P. Feb 25.
Such an intriguing ghost story! Spooky and sweet in equal measure. Human AU in which friends Aziraphale and Crowley are vloggers dealing with paranormal phenomena. On their way to Tadfield they find themselves stuck alone in a cottage belonging to an old lady and her niece. Even skeptic Crowley has to eventually concede that the cottage is haunted. Obliviousness in action, this fic was lovely!
Friends Don't, by MissUnderstoodLyrics. Rated E, 33k. P. Dec 24.
Honestly, I can’t even begin to tell you how much I loved this story. In my comment on the last chapter I said that it was like an unexpected day off at work: precious, exciting, comfortable, you know it will be over all too soon but it’s one of those gifts that make life happier. In this enemies (meh!) to friends (ha!) to lovers (yay!) Crowley and Aziraphale work as advice columnists for two rival newspapers in Tadfield. The newspapers are bought by the same media company and our two heroes find themselves co-hosting a podcast. How will they cope? Oh, they’ll cope very well indeed, let me tell you. This fiction is uplifting and funny, the banter is clever without ever feeling like they are overdoing it, and the Ineffables react to their feelings in an insecure, fragile, but all too relatable -and fairly realistic- way. It never feels like the writer is pushing it. It became instantly one of my all time favourites.
Postcards From Paris, by ghostrat. Rated G, 12k. P. Oct. 23.
I very seldom reread whole fictions, but I'm so glad I reread this one! (Thank you and shoutout to the Good Omens Fanfiction Club Community on Tumblr!)
Human AU. Crowley has recently moved to a new flat and he receives postcards meant for the previous owner.
Ghostrat managed to tell us the building of a lovely bond only through short messages.
I love Crowley's quiet and relatable vulnerability in this story, and I absolutely love Aziraphale’s mask of confidence shining through Crowley's POV.
The gentle jokes, teasing and feelings: all felt very well balanced, but not less emotional because of it. A classic.

On This Bumpy Road to Love (GO Actors AU, M, 9/14)
Fasten your seatbelts, it's the big one! 🚗🚗🚗
🎟️ Summary:
When rising star AJ Crowley finds himself in a little spot of trouble on the set of his new action movie, he is lucky enough to bump into a literal angel who infuses him with some much needed courage in a rather unconventional way. One fabulous kiss, a fall from grace, many phone calls and approximately twenty years of friendship later, Crowley and Aziraphale are about to embark on their first ever project together, which allows them to get closer than ever. Will they be brave enough to cross the invisible boundary still standing between them? Or will they let the fear of losing each other get in their way? Idiocy predictably abounds, but luckily so does the love.
🎭 Chapter 9 of 14: The Things You Win and The Things You Lose: Part 2 (almost 14k words) 🎞️ Chapter 9 Summary:
Before: Aziraphale has to come to terms with what he has (and hasn’t) said in that empty dressing room. The important things he and Crowley haven’t talked about until now finally catch up to them. Now: Crowley has an acceptance speech to make, but the night is long and there’s still some things to be won if he’s brave enough to go and get them…
🍿 Excerpt from chapter 9:
“Why? What are you waiting for?” She seems genuinely puzzled. “I’ve been watching you dance around each other for years, this is becoming unbearable.” “Ever thought about, I dunno, looking the other way?” suggests Crowley snarkily. No one’s forcing her to bear witness to whatever’s going on between him and Aziraphale. “I’m being serious, lamb. What are you waiting for?” “I dunno.” He cards a hand through his hair, ruining all his hairstylist’s hard work. What is he waiting for? That’s a good question. To know for sure that he won’t ruin his friendship with Aziraphale, perhaps? That he’s interpreting the signals the angel has been giving him lately in the correct way? I mean, what if this is only Crowley’s wishful thinking twisting facts and words to fit the silly fantasies he’s been ashamedly indulging in for years? A sharp pang of anxiety flares in the pit of his stomach, drawing a heavy sigh from him. “I can’t get this wrong, Trace,” he murmurs. “There’s no margin for error.” He dares a glance at her, and her warm smile instantly makes him feel a little less stupid. “You can’t get this wrong, dearie. Trust me.”

Chapter 9/19: Hands (7.7k words)
Summary:
Crowley and Aziraphale investigate Morag Dalrymple’s death and make an important breakthrough that unfortunately threatens to ruin their newfound trust in each other.
Excerpt from Chapter 9:
“Just because you think you’re the greatest single thing that has happened since sliced bread you expect everyone around you to-to… to fall at your feet and swoon with admiration!” “Sliced bread?!” Crowley blurted out. “You flirt your way out of trouble and you tempt people to gather information… Well, Mr Crowley, I’m not one of them! You won’t woo me enough to get me into bed with you.” The stream of consonants Crowley spluttered right then was quite something. “Nghhh, I got a newsflash for you, Mr Eastgate,” he stressed out his surname, and even if Aziraphale had done the same two seconds before, it still stung. “I have absolutely no desire to get you into bed with me.” Keeping a straight face was really hard this time. Aziraphale had just gained the upper hand in the competition. “You don’t?” he asked, as quietly as he could. “You’re not my type.” “SINCE WHEN?” Aziraphale exclaimed indignantly. “You literally came on to me the second we met!” Crowley grasped at straws. “I didn’t know who you were back then!” “What difference does it make?” Crowley approached him, and Aziraphale was immediately intoxicated by his scent. He could feel the other man’s warm breath on his face as he pointed his long (beautiful) finger against his breast. “Rule number one. Never shag people you work with.” Aziraphale’s eyes moved unconsciously from Crowley’s sunglasses to his lips. Again. Seriously, what, does the man have an eye-magnet on his mouth?! “I’ll keep that in mind,” was Aziraphale’s impertinent response. A job well done, if you asked him.

On This Bumpy Road to Love (GO Actors AU, M, 8/14)
Some roads get bumpier and others gets sillier 👀
🎭 Chapter 8 of 14: The Things You Win and The Things You Lose: Part 1 (9.4k words) 🎞️ Chapter 8 Summary:
Now: Aziraphale and Crowley attend the 2025 Laurence Olivier awards together, but fret not, they don’t look like a couple at all. Before: Crowley is back in the UK to present at the 2017 BAFTA awards. Nervous as he is, there’s only one friendly face he wants to see…
🍿 Excerpt from chapter 8:
“Can I at least find out if I won the damn thing before you try to kill me?” Aziraphale holds out his hand to pat his knee. Whatever condescending thing he was about to say dies a sudden, quite gruesome death when his fingers graze naked skin and hair (I repeat – naked skin and hair) and a sudden jolt goes through him, reminding him that Crowley is wearing a kilt. He doesn’t know what possesses him to keep his hand there, preventing himself from tearing it away like he’s just touched burning coals instead of a very unassuming knee (but, to be fair, nothing about Crowley is unassuming). Aziraphale allows himself a second to look up at Crowley’s face and meet his eyes, which are round and surprised but not alarmed. Additionally, where red is concerned, his cheeks are giving his hair a run for its money. “Y-you’ll win,” Aziraphale sputters before slowly removing his hand and staring at it with the same wide-eyed wonder someone probably reserved Neil Armstrong when he came back from the moon, having stepped foot where no man had been before. His traitorous brain decides it’s a great moment to consider the true potential of a kilt, not just style-wise, but also access-wise. And now that he really thinks about it– “I am wearing underwear,” Crowley supplies before Aziraphale can even formulate the question in his mind. “Obviously.”

On This Bumpy Road to Love (GO Actors AU, M, 7/14)
Surprise update! Happy weekend 💜💜💜

🎭 Chapter 7 of 14: Expected Visits and Unexpected Announcements (10.5k words) 🎞️ Chapter 7 Summary:
Before: Aziraphale flies to the States to meet with his favourite demon. Twice. Now: Crowley tries to take his mind off of a certain nominations announcement. Thankfully, the press provides plenty of distraction (and so does Aziraphale).
🍿 Excerpt from chapter 7:
What he says is, “Fanfiction?” Aziraphale doesn’t seem to notice the way Crowley’s voice goes up, there at end. “Yes, fictional stories about, you know…” The angel gives a little shrug and resumes his walk along the path meandering through the Winter Garden. Despite the rubbish currently clouding his brain, Crowley senses there’s something juicy to uncover here (a weakness that is not his own), so he hurries his pace to get ahead of Aziraphale, then turns around and keeps walking backwards, hands in his pockets and eyes trained on the angel. “I know what fanfiction is.” They were all the rage back when he was starring in those Vampire High movies that jump started his career. He has even read some of them. A boost to the ego, ‘s what they are, albeit a little creepy at times. “About what?” Aziraphale is still focused on his smartphone, but the pale March sun is bright enough for Crowley to notice the blush slowly creeping up his cheeks. “About things,” he mutters noncommittally. “Things,” Crowley repeats, delighted by the implications. Oh, this is good. Has Aziraphale been reading fictional stories about them? “Things we are supposedly doing?” “You could say that.” “Such as?” “You know… things.” “Naughty things?” Aziraphale shoots him a chastising look. “If you know what fanfiction is, as you claim, then you’ll have no trouble imagining what I’m talking about.” Oh, Crowley doesn’t need fanfiction to imagine those sorts of things. (Apparently, he can manage just fine on his own.) “Have you read them?” “No,” Aziraphale replies without missing a beat. Then seems to think better of it and adds, “I may have skimmed them, though. Very quickly, it goes without saying. Just to keep my finger on the pulse of the situation.”

The Trouble with HELL (7/19)
A GO Podcasters/Investigators AU (rating: eventually E)

The Trouble with HELL by beerok23
Summary:
Award-winning true crime podcast Va-voom, sorted! has been on hiatus since his author, Anthony Crowley, has published his first murder mystery, Murder on the M25. When his associate Nina begs him to follow a story on a train crash, he meets PI Aziraphale Eastgate, and he soon realises that the charming Apparition in tartan is the real voice behind his favourite podcast, Mr Fell's Mystery Haven. With so much at stake, will they keep working against each other, or will they put their differences aside and learn to trust one another to uncover the truth?
Chapter 7/19: The Arrangement (8.3k words) Summary:
After getting to the same conclusion about the train crash casualties, Crowley and Aziraphale meet again by chance. When Crowley realises that working together would be easier, he proposes an arrangement.
Excerpt from Chapter 7:
It took Aziraphale around thirty minutes to get to Dalrymple’s house in Chiswick. He found himself in front of identical Tudor-style terraced houses, with black and white timber framing against brick walls and typical steeply pitched roofs with gables. Each house had bay windows and small porches on the front. The sidewalk was paved with brick, and the whole residential neighborhood evoked a sense of peacefulness and care. The feeling fell apart completely when Aziraphale heard a loud (by now) familiar roar behind him. He turned around just in time to see the Bentley speeding down, braking abruptly across the road. The driver needed no presentation. (Especially when he jumped out of the car as tempting as ever.) His deep red short hair sinfully styled, the designer sunglasses slightly slipping down his nose while he walked (not walked, no, swaggered) – his long sinuous legs clad in tight, black jeans that highlighted his thighs and– Don’t smile. Please, I beg you, Aziraphale, whatever happens, whatever he says, don’t smile at him. “Hello, angel. I saw the taxi going away. Chalk up a win for the side of the demons?” Oh, fuck. I’m totally smiling.
