Risk It All- Part 2
*Connor's POV*
During the lecture, I sit at the back of the lecture room, so I can watch a movie on my laptop. I put my headphones in and sit comfortably in the chair, resting my chin on my hand. James sits next to me and starts taking notes immediately. I never understood this guy, his nerdiness is pretty annoying.
The professor keeps blabbing about some paragraphs or something when James elbows me in the ribs. I take the headphones out and roll my eyes at him, wondering why he interrupted me. He's looking at the professor, so I look in that direction, too.
"Mr. Ball," an elderly man with grey hair and white beard addresses me. He could be like 150 years old and he reminds me of Santa Claus from all American movies. I believe he should be retired already but our university keeps him because they haven't found anyone younger to teach this subject. I'm not even surprised because who the hell would like to teach the history of law? It's the most boring thing in the whole universe.
"Yeah, Mr. Jackson?" I ask him casually.
"Would you mind sharing your presentation with us today?" he asks me in his monotone voice. He speaks so slowly that I always feel like I got 5 years older when he finishes his sentence.
I turn to James. I have no idea what the old man is talking about.
"My what?"
"Your presentation, Con," James replies quietly, looking into his papers.
"Have you made it?" I ask him. He shakes his head and finally looks at me.
"No, I haven't. It is your presentation, not mine. I was busy working on my own pres-"
"I thought we were friends," I interrupt him. What does he think he's doing? Did he think I'd be friends with him just like that?
"We are friends, Con, but I am not your slave doing your homework all the time. It's time for you to grow up."
I'm not annoyed with him anymore. I'm freaking angry. Who the hell does he think he is?? And what is this nonsense he's talking about?
"Mr. Ball, I'm still waiting," Mr. Jackson reminds me of his presence again.
"Well.... Good luck with waiting then, because I don't have any damn presentation."
"That is enough, Mr. Ball. Just because your dad is a very important person, it doesn't mean that I have to tolerate your ignorance and impertinence. Please, meet me in the office after the lecture."
"Probably not because I'm leaving," I say and pack my things. It takes me two minutes to grab my stuff and walk out of the lecture room. I cannot wait to get wasted at Tristan's party in the evening.
***
From the university, I head directly home. If I knew that my day would be so bad, I wouldn't even bother going there in the first place. I order some pizza because I'm starving. I go to my room and start play some video games. I'm still angry at James and I can't stop thinking how he could betray me like this. But I'm not going to keep it like this, he'll get what he deserves.
I play the video games for couple of hours and I can feel myself slowly calming down. I check my phone and see few missed calls from James but I ignore them. It's half past eight, so I start getting ready for the party. It doesn't take me a lot of effort to put on a black shirt, blue plaid jacket and dark skinny jeans. I put my phone in the back pocket and head outside.
Luckily for me, my parents still aren't home, otherwise I'd have to explain to them what happened at university today. I know I'm in trouble, but as far as they don't know yet, I don't have to worry about it.
I get in my car, turn the volume on the radio a little louder than usual and head to Tristan and Sofia's house. I arrive in few minutes and I can see that there are couple of people already.
I park my car and see Diana standing in the yard. She's wearing a denim jacket and flower dress and I must admit that she's very pretty. Her long dark hair is flying in the wind and she's a little shivering, hugging herself to make her warmer.
"Hey Di, why don't you go inside?" I ask her when I get closer.
"Hi Con. I'm waiting for James, he should arrive anytime soon," she replies and smiles at me. I smile back at her and nod. She's such a smart and beautiful girl, she could score much better than end up with that jerk James. But they've been dating for so long that she probably doesn't even know what she's missing out.
I let her be then and go inside. There are more people than I expected but it's Tristan's party and I'm not surprised anymore. He's the biggest party animal I know and his parties are always the best. Even though he tells only few people about his party, many others hear about it and come to his party anyway.
I find him in the kitchen talking to some chicks. I'm sure they all want to end up in bed with him, but I'm not sure which girl will be the lucky one tonight. When Tris sees me, he smiles and pours some vodka for me.
"Thanks man," I tell him and drink it immediately.
"You must be thirsty," Tristan jokes. I just shake my head at him, he probably hasn't heard about my hard day yet.
"I need more," I tell him and hand him an empty shot.
"Bro, you should slow down. You've just arrived and the night is still young."
"I'm fine, don't worry about me," I reply and look around myself, I haven't seen Sofia anywhere. We talk a little to the girls and drink some more. After an hour, we are greeted by James and Diana and that's basically a sign for me to go. I take my drink and move to the next room. I really should start looking for my girlfriend, it's weird I haven't seen her yet.
"Baby, I didn't know you were already here," I hear Sofia's soft voice behind me.
"Yeah, I arrived two hours ago. I haven't seen you anywhere," I turn to her and kiss her.
"I was busy.. Getting ready for you, you know," she says and smiles at me.
I want to tell her something back but we're interrupted by Laura, Sofia's best friend. All I know about her is that she's in love with Sofia's brother and the girls are trying every day to make Tristan interested in Laura. So far, he's happily resisiting. That's my man, enjoying his life without any commitement.
Sofia tells me she needs to go, kisses me quickly on my cheek and her and Laura disappear in the mass of dancing people. I finish the drink that I have in my hands and go to kitchen to fill my cup again. Tristan and his group of chicks aren't there anymore, they're probably dancing in the next room as well. By the bar I spot Diana, but James is nowhere around.
"Hey," she says and smiles at me.
"Hi Diana," I smile back as I pour some alcohol into my cup. "How do you like the party so far?"
"It's awesome, like always. Tristan knows how to make every party great."
"Yeah, I know. Anyway where's James?" I ask her.
"He went to the bathroom, why? Are you two okay?"
I don't really think about my next move. I am pissed at James and I want some revenge for his betrayal. If he could betray me, I can betray him. I put my arms around Diana's waist and quickly put my lips on hers, before she has a chance to react. She tries to push me away but I'm stronger than her so I keep kissing her for some time until I'm literally torn away from her.
"WHAT THE HELL, MATE," James yells at me and punches me in the face. My nose starts bleeding instantly and I curse trying to catch my breath. "DON'T YOU EVER COME ANYWHERE NEAR HER OR I'LL BREAK YOUR BONES, DID YOU HEAR ME," he says as he holds Diana close to him. In a second, the room is full of people who are waiting for some drama and fights. Fighting at parties is normal but not for me. I'm done here for tonight. I'm starting to get sick and I want to go home and sleep. I push through all the people in the room and head outside. No one follows me and in few minutes I'm finally breathing fresh air of midnight.
I don't really remember how I find my car or how I unlock it or start the engine. I'm mad at James, at Mr. Jackson, at the world. I just want to be home already so I hit the pedal to drive faster. The truth is that it would be difficult to drive my car at this speed in full consciousness. However, I don't think of my state or the consequences. Everything starts to be blurry, maybe it's all because of the drinks I had or maybe there could be tears in my eyes but I don't want to admit it. I never cry. Never.
On the next crossroad, I try to turn right but at this speed my car just doesn't obey me anymore. It starts spinning and it isn't stopped until it hits very loudly the first house on the street.
After the crash, everything is just black.

Risk It All- Part 1
*Connor's POV*
When I woke up on Friday morning, I thought it would be just another boring day in my typical young-adult life. Another day of being a popular kid who gets everything that he wants. Another day spent with my great friends and pretty girlfriend. Just another typical day in my awesome life.
But I was wrong.
My day started at 7 o'clock like every other day. I lazily got up and put on my skinny black jeans and blue shirt. I couldn't care less about fixing my messy hair, so I just grabbed a grey beanie and put it on as well.
In 15 minutes, I was ready to leave for uni. Like every day on my way there, I stopped at my girlfriend's house to pick her up. Sofia lived just two streets away from me and we've known each other since we were high school students. However, we started dating only two years ago sometime around Christmas. She was probably the hottest girl in the neighbourhood, with a pretty face, beautiful blonde hair and a figure better than some models. Every girl at university wanted to be Sofia and every guy wanted to be me so they could date her. And I loved that.
When I parked my car in front of Sofia's house, she was already waiting for me. Damn, she was really hot. People sometimes told me how lucky I was to have Sofia. But it's not luck. I'm Connor Ball, I always get what I want.
Sophia waved at me and got into the car. I leaned in, so I could kiss her instead of saying hi. I decided to go a little deeper and for a little longer and I suddenly didn't want to go to university at all.
"Maybe we could have some fun today, instead of going to uni?" I suggest, while kissing her neck.
She moans and in that second I believe she agrees with my idea. It would not be the first time we skipped classes to do something else.
"No, babe, we will go to uni today. We'll have enough time for fun during the weekend, you know that my parents are going over to Paris to visit friends and Tristan probably won't be home either," Sofia replies.
"Okay then," I sigh, "we can make out for five more minutes and then we can go to that prison, if you insist." I tell Sofia although I'm still waiting she'll change her mind.
***
In twenty minutes, I park the car in front of our university. Sofia gets out and goes to meet her friends. She's studying languages, while I'm studying law. The truth is that I give zero crap about law and paragraphs, but I'm "studying" it because my parents want me to. They pay for my school and for passing my exams as well. My dad is the mayor and every teacher is scared to lose their job incase they let me fail. What is there to say, I love my life.
In the hall, I meet my best friend James. We're in the same class and in comparison to me, James knows everything about laws. He passed all his exams last semester with A+ and until today I never understood how I could be a friend with such a nerd. He's a great guy, but honestly, sometimes I think that he's my friend only because I'm a popular kid. But I don't really mind, he gives me his homework and does all the projects for me and for that he's a part of my gang. I think that no one really wants to be friends with such a geek and he's grateful that he has friends because of me. Basically, our friendship is beneficial for both of us.
"Hey guys," Tristan, our other friend and Sofia's brother, joins us fist bumping us. We don't care we're twenty-one years old, we're fist bumping each other like we did when we were fifteen. "I hope I'll see you at my house tonight, it's gonna be a party of a year."
"Me and Diana will be there for sure," James answers. Him and Diana have been dating since high school. They even were called "high school sweethearts" and they couldn't be without one another for longer than two hours. If you're looking for James, for ninety-nine percent he will be with Diana and when you're looking for Diana, she will be with James for sure.
"Are there gonna be some hot chicks?" I ask him casually.
"What about Sofia?" James looks at me as if I told him I killed someone.
"What what? Just because I'm dating Sofia, it doesn't mean I can't look at other girls," I reply and roll my eyes at him. Why does James care so much, even Tristan wasn't bothered by my question and he's Sofia's brother.
"Tris, count me in, I'll be there at nine. And I hope you have bought enough vodka, I really want to get drunk."
James just shakes his head at me and I don't know what his problem is. He can be my best friend, but I don't understand him sometimes. What's the point of a party when you don't get drunk and don't have some fun?
"How could you even doubt about it," Tristan says and smirks. "This party is gonna be huge, you won't remember anything the next day."
In that moment, none of us knew his words were literally about to come true.

Hey :) This is my first fanfic ever and I hope it'll go as well as I imagined it in my head :D
Also remember that this is ONLY an imaginary story so please don't judge me that I changed basically everything about the boys' life, thanks :D There's a reason why he's such a jerk and it will make sense later :)
