Me when I finally allow myself to explain what the commix hashtag means..

Long-winded ramble below cut

So… what the heck is a Commix?

Simply put, it’s a talentswap AU that involves characters from all 3 games being seperated and mixed up together, forcing more cross-game interactions.

The concept is that essentially instead of it being a high school, Hope’s Peak is a university/college level academy. A few of the ultimates came together with a solid theory that there was an apocalyptic event coming soon.. and they needed to prepare as the shining beacons of Hope onto the world. So they set up the killing games as a sort of camp to prepare for Doomsday, and partially to prove to the world that they would be fit to make it…

Only that doesn’t really go too well, does it? Putting a bunch of dysfunctional young adults, who have the weight of not just Japan, but the entire world looking to them for answers, do you think they could really come out completely unscathed?

When I post DR Commix here, I only post STARDUST. Because there are three games, labelled STARDUST, JUSTICE, and NEVERLAND. STARDUST has all three antagonists from the main games, JUSTICE has all four protagonists and NEVERLAND.. is NEVERLAND because I’m likely never going to touch it. 💀 (I am just one man and my energy and attention span is limited)

If I do work on the other two games more one day, I will change my tags and documents as required so anyone interested would be able to follow easier.

If you are interested, here is the document I have of Danganronpa Commix: STARDUST cast, a synopsis of the story, and SOME character wiki sort of stuff.

Unfortunately for everyone involved (/j) it came from me hyperfixating on a talentswap Miomota; Kaito Ultimate Musician, and Ibuki Ultimate Astronaut. Then I started to think about how different their backstories would be (especially with my Momota siblings headcanon and the Ishimaru Web ��️), and it just ended up into this entire thing!

I know a lot of people have liked a lot of my Miomota posts but a big majority of them have been for Commix, which has alternate designs to their canon designs. I almost felt bad for it cause only like 5 people know of my thoughts, but in the end of the day it’s my blog, yk?

However, if you are interested and got it this far to reading my silly rambles, I will grace you with the cast lists!

Did this last night while my friends and I were playing DRA together lmfao. I initially just wanted to doodle Tsurugi, but when you have a favorite boy he will show up SOMEHOW. I'm a little bit delirious about him so I just end up picking up the most random ass details and extrapolating from it like astronomers making conclusions about distant stars. But something about the way that in the end, despite the fact Haru was lowkey hating on Tsurugi, he was that desperate for help? "You can do it!" I'm GONNA DO IT. /nsrs /cam being dramatic Sigh. and yet another death on Tsurugi Kinjo's back, another person's blood on his hands. Guys I love this game (this is a cry for help)

So it all happened when me and my soulbro were looking too hard at Haruhiko and Kaito's FTEs... This is my first time drawing Kirumi and Tenko, using my friends' headcanons. It's been super fun RP'ing this chaotic and dysfunctional group of siblings (all headcanons). I honestly am pretty happy that even though he is 100% a fangame character, Haru still managed to mesh really well with the others.

Yeah so... funny thing, I drew this months ago and forgot about it... but I'm back! Ahem, so I headcanon these two being siblings (either from the same orphanage or biologically, I can't say for sure tbh.) and being from the Irkutsk Oblast in Russia. I did do my research on which nationality I wanted them to be, and the countries which have higher crime rates and such.. BUT anyway, onto design notes! Maki is dressed a lot more comfortably for the ease of moving around in her work. Moisturized, unbothered, in her lane, focussed, sweatpants on, guns out. Period. /silly She is a lot more open about her culture, wearing it in her hair and her earrings.

Kokichi's cape is reversible, with the checkered pattern usually being in the inner hems, to parallel Kaito's star pattern inside his jacket. I changed his shirt clips to make his birthday in Roman numerals, but overall there isn't as much of a change. He is a lot more subtle about his culture, because Kokichi Ouma is 70% lies /ref

I'm not typing all this out again, but this is how I imagine they got into hope's peak

Honestly, I hadn’t been used to the dyed eyebrows so I never had the pink. Until today, I decided ‘fuck it, it’s for the sake of punk rock.’ And I rock with it. Get it? Hah..

The necklace and choker was also a new addition, but seriously. What screams punk rock more than studs and a black choker and chains?

The glasses was something I was thinking of for a while. I headcanon that they have kind of bad vision, as in short-sighted, but they wore contacts to look cooler. I obviously think they would have a crazy funky frame, but I couldn’t find one I liked until I saw this circle-square thing on a show I watched. Immediately went “yo that would be a badass character design.”

My first redesign of them is changing as I go along.. making them browner, and the stuff I just mentioned. My weirdo dirty rock punk <3

ANYWAY. I did change a little thing about this particular drawing last night, which is the little eyeliner design on his left eye! I really like the beta design, but I wanted to make it subtler.. maybe. Thought it would be cute

In my heart he has freckles.. so many freckles. Showcases it to the ladies you know? He is six foot (5’11), super manly, muscular (semi-sleeper at best), freckled, blonde.. and a pilot! What else would a girl want?
