100 days of productivity: Day 13
-Company-
This system seems to be working out. During the time, I was away I met a very special person that I have the luck of calling my significant other. He's also a student in another city on his final year trying to wrap everything up too. We've started studying together over discord whenever we get to have some dedicated time for that, as a way to spend quality time together while also motivating each other in our own goals. It is very relieving and refreshing to have this type of moral and practical support, with no fear of judgement.

100 days of productivity: Day 6
-Revisit-
The past few days I've been busy with the dissertation, finally finished a tough chapter. It was a relief because I've been seemingly stuck there since November. It's time to arrange a meeting with my professor I believe. Ever since I stopped posting, a lot of stuff has happened which I'll start talking about soon. One thing is that I decided to include some exercise in my life, so I've been walking a few times a week in the morning. During my last long walk on Friday, I reached the area of focus for my dissertation and thesis. I had forgotten how nice and nature-filled it was. On the left picture, there are old worker complexes from the 1920s-1930s. Their scale is so humane. On the right, a lot of snails were stuck on the fence of the grove close to the complexes. This place has such a charm to it in my eyes. I can't wait to start my thesis!

if you, a student, define "your hardest" as zero breaks with constant work done and ultra-efficiency,
and you beat yourself up for not being able to do that,
you're not going about studying the right way. no person can function at "101%" like that (without destroying themselves), and 100% shouldn't be viewed that way, either.
no matter what you put into your work, whether it's 80%, 50%, or even just 5%, you're still doing 100%. it's about what you can do right now, not the hypothetical maximum.
be kind to yourself, for real. if nothing else, you're doing something, and that's always way better than nothing.

100 days of productivity: Day 1
-Topic-
So, I'm starting another 100 days of productivity challenge which should coincide around the time when I'll be submitting my dissertation. Some accountability seems like a good idea for my procrastination issues. The dissertation has to do with industrial remnants, a very fascinating topic I'd never encountered this extensively. Looking into the history of greek industry has been exciting all in all, it explains so many characteristics when it comes to economy, society and space. In its second part, it focuses into a specific region with developmental interest and some idustrial remnants spread throughout the modern urban landscape, most of them lost and replaced, few present and haunting. I'm planning on linking it with my thesis topic, which would be to reform and reinhabit one of the complexes. I'm feeling like I'm learning again and that will lead me to create, as we do.

Hi everyone! It's been a while! I hope you're all faring well. Chaos took over but now, we're kind of clear. So much has happened in the past year and a half that I haven't posted. Currently, I'm focusing back in school stuff to finally finish it, last project before my thesis. It concerns the evolution of industry in Greece and its remnants. Bibliography isn't limited but not too broad either, just not easily accessible. I had to return a book and get a new one from a specialised library and the picture is from the study room. The weather was very warm and the morning was beautiful, not really ideal for studying, but it is what it is.

Welp, look who decided to drop by, hehe. Frankly, this year has been one of the most chaotic ones of my life. Thankfully, in the clutter that it has been, I decided not to drop the blog. I feel more sure-footed now in my decisions concerning my future, which I'd like to share on here. Continuing on in my last -almost- year in architecture school, my priorities have changed. The world has become very demanding in this route back to normality, meaning I had to get some things clear in my head. I'm going to try to keep a balance between academic and personal affairs, towards which I decided on taking a "gap year" (not exactly, more on that in the near future). Till then, have some pictures from my trip to Italy from a couple of months ago.

Weeks are going by and we're struggling to get into a rhythm. Trying to balance some partially online classes with the rest. It's been a little tough going back almost two years. Maybe the worst part about this is my near-zero attention span. But we're coping. Stuff has started rolling and some of it piling up because I decided to prioritize fun and entertainment and my social needs, but that's okay. I'll catch up eventually. I have this creeping feeling that we'll start transitioning towards online classes more again since the pandemic is getting rougher. Hope you're all being kind to yourselves in this transitional phase 💜

20.10.21
Another week went by and it was a little rough. Extreme storms hit us, thus making classes go back to the computers on the more dangerous days or be called off entirely. Maybe my best chance to enjoy some warm coffee inside the warmth of my house while outside it’s raining, ahhh... Homework has definitely started piling up and it hasn’t been a month since we started, but we need to get this introductory stuff out of the way. On Saturday, I went with the friends to the movies, we watched Dune. Pretty good, ngl. Got me obsessed with worldbuilding again. I will definitely continue it once things are a little looser. I really really hope we don’t go into lockdown again :’(

-Glory-
The title probably says it all about our return back to class. So, hello to everyone! We’re back! And now that not all days are the same, there is a point to posting, ayeee! It’s so nice to be back. Let’s talk about what’s happened so far. The previous semester was… a lot. It went well but I burnt myself out in probably the worst way possible. Summer was -thankfully- great and I managed to recharge my batteries. September exams went by pretty smoothly and came to a quick and easy end. (I might post some things here.) And now we have officially started for a week with most introductory lessons being online and transitioning to in-person. Friday, it was the first in-person lesson and, man was that an experience! I kinda need to oil myself for social situations again because I’m rusty and didn’t socialize as much as I wanted to. Come tomorrow, though, there will be even more chances to catch up with other people. Class may finally be enjoyed and taught properly. Assignments will be balanced again. I hope you guys are in a similarly fortunate position and I wish you a happy and healthy new academic year.

-Drowning-
I'm actually alive, yes. But I'm drowning in work... Things are going pretty well. I am ahead of schedule in both important classes that I have this semester. My sleep schedule has been messed up again -sorry not sorry- Presentation incoming this week. I might elaborate on other classes in another post. Feeling pretty great since my parents got vaccinated yesterday marking the countdown to freedom. Academically speaking too, it's been going smoothly. Hope you're all doing well and staying safe 💜

-Recharge-
Hello everybody! Hope you’re all doing well and keeping sane. I sure haven’t XD. This exam season was kind of out of control and I really don’t know how to describe it. I was kinda drowning in stuff to do, but still it felt as if... I could have done more? I’m not sure how to put it... Anyway, the only thing that was certain was that it was draining. All the assignments got submitted fully and well done, the tests themselves were a bit scuffed and I might need to repeat one or two in September (hopefully not). However, I’m done and over it, been trying to take it easy since we do have another week till classes restart.
Let’s chill for a bit. Take a step back. And then a step forward.
Ngl can’t wait for this whole situation to be over and find my sanity again. I’ve become a hermit.

-1 year later-
One year anniversary, ayyeeeeee! Honestly, I didn't think that I would make it through, even in the way I did. Posting has become more irregular as of late, because I'm kinda drowning most days of the week and second, because I feel like there isn't anything new worth noting. I'm going to try, however, these days to talk a little more about the situation as it is. Maybe, showcase a little more of our work. Above displayed are some first attempts at drawing conclusions from the study of our area for Urban Planning. Anyway, thank you to all of you who were here from the first days and to those of you who came along the way. Welcome to all the people who have joined in the last 3 months, you found me at a difficult time, but we'll get through this together. ❤
