Niel’s Interview with DAZED & CONFUSED

I’m having a hard time with this outfit. Gown? Robe? What should I call it…? I’ve only worn this kind of thing in a hotel; I never thought I’d dress like this for a photo shoot. It’s been a really long time since I last had work like this, where I don’t really have to do anything. You said you were surprised by how lively we are, but it’s only like that when we’re all together. I’m quiet when I’m alone. My mind tends to linger on trivial thoughts when I’m by myself. But, that’s not really a bad thing. Those thoughts can be useful when I’m writing music. At first, it didn’t really feel like a big deal to me that Teen Top turns 8 this year, but lately I’ve been thinking about it more. There are a lot of impressive newer groups, and a lot of the groups that debuted when we did aren’t around anymore. I’ve been thinking that people will forget about us someday, and I’ve been wondering what my life will be like then. I’ve thought about that a lot, actually. The idea of being forgotten is particularly scary when you’re in this line of work, but I’ve come to accept that this can happen to anyone once you leave your job. It’s scary. But, as long as there’s at least someone out there who remembers me, I think it’ll be ok. I don’t want to grow up yet. I’m still young. There’s still a lot that I want to do and a lot that I’ve yet to show everyone.
