Yusa always found his father a difficult person to understand, with few conversations and no affection throughout his life. However, he still showed affection as any child who had problems in the past might have in the last minutes of their life.

Here's a bunch of headcanons of Jonathan Crane that I never created before (my shayla anyway):

TW: self-harm and abuse

• He likes to read books about chemistry, psychology and a little bit of politics.

• Jonathan was very attached to his mother as a child, but after her death, he tried to seek affection from his father, who could barely express himself emotionally to his son.

• He is a non binary man and gay; his pronouns are He/They.

• Jonathan suffers from PTSD, identity crisis and acute anxiety as a result of the traumas he suffered in childhood and adolescence, and even self-harmed numerous times, especially at Arkham when the doctors electrocuted and tortured him.

• The Scarecrow is part of his violent and obsessive personality, having moments of blackouts which he doesn't remember in detail and can only control years later.

• He hardly trusts people, whether they are partners or allies in his plans; this depends on the level of contact they will have with him for the rest of their lives.

Just an observation/headcanon that I forgot to make about Harley Sawyer in my last art post:

Harley's gray hair is the result of stress and workaholism, as he was always trying to prove that he was the smartest scientist in the world, although he had low self-esteem and an excess of superiority, never caring about anyone or himself, except for his research and the great works that would elevate his career.
