As I have gotten older I have come to find my voice on things. The recent tragedy on the subway in NY comes to mind. I am saddened by the young mans death but I think it was unavoidable. If you have mental illness and act out causing violent behavior to others. You are a danger to yourself and others. The very definition of mental illness. When you act out to cause harm and threaten the lives of others deadly force can and will be used to subdue the situation. It is not a black issue or a white issue but an issue we all must face.
