Why We Made Our Premium Admin Dashboard Open-Source

Back in 2013 our team embraced key technologies like Bootstrap, Angular, React, Vue, .NET, and others to deliver world-class admin dashboards. We researched, analyzed, designed and then developed user-friendly admin dashboards. After that, we sold over 7000 licenses of our admin templates.

In Flatlogic we create web & mobile application templates built with React, Vue, Angular and Bootstrap to help you develop web & mobile apps faster. Go and check out yourself! For admin dashboards, there are two dominant pricing strategies: premium and open-source. All these years we were using a premium business model and it worked just fine. We had an upfront price for our product before it can even be downloaded. Compared to the premium in the open-source model initial download of a template is offered free-of-charge, but only with limited functionality. So we decided just to give it a try, to open-source our premium admin dashboard. We thought that maybe an open-source can be a win-win for consumers and developers by giving users an opportunity to try a template without spending any money. It can significantly increase the number of people willing to integrate and customize our product. What is an admin panel and what is the limited functionality means you may ask? It’s an admin platform in a web application that allows management and manipulation of data within the user interface of your web application. The admin panel can help you provide some actionable insights into user behavior, acting upon some profiles that either violates the site’s rules or terms and conditions, and tracking transactions. Admin panel can be turned into a dashboard. It can display business statistics and analytics without the user writing a single line of code. You can export weekly data and create a different kind of reports. We limited our free version with several most significant components like responsive layout, styled bootstrap components, dashboard sample, tables, hover sidebar, etc.

And thus we were definitely ready to get some feedback from the open-source community when we opened up this codebase – you can find it on the Sing App Admin Template page. And the results were awesome. The increase in sales, more and more downloads, dozens of letters with feedback and proposals to make custom integrations. We have come to the conclusion that the open-source model is definitely better for us. It gives us valuable feedback, and over the years, we’ve learned we have to really hear everyone. Building software is good, but building a community around your software is better. Its flexibly boost as users experiment with new use cases and build customization, additions, plugins, and frameworks. So we can do customization for a huge range of projects from natural language processing to machine learning, company KPIs and performance metrics. The confidence of our clients has a profound effect on the standing of our company in the world. 'Creative for a Cause' Creates a Simple Video with a Powerful Message

South Coast Improvement Company Wins Bid Renovate Iconic Hood Milk Bottle

Boston, MA and Marion, MA, Aug 5, 2020 -- South Coast Improvement Company (SCIC), a design-build general contractor serving New England and the Mid-Atlantic states, was recently tabbed to renovate the iconic Hood Milk Bottle that stands between the Children’s Museum and Fort Point Channel at 308 Congress Street in Boston. The project was awarded to the Marion, MA. -based company in July and will begin in early August. In its 50-plus year history, the historic Hood Milk Bottle, which stands 40-feet high and 20-feet wide, served as an ice cream store in Taunton, Mass. before being purchased by Hood and transported to the Children’s Museum in 1977. South Coast Improvement will give the facility a much needed facelift to better withstand the conditions in Fort Point Channel, in addition to a complete renovation of the interior. “The Hood Milk Bottle is one of Boston’s Top 10 landmarks and is an actual historic landmark to boot. That calls for a renovation that utilizes historical products,” said Tom Quinlan, president of South Coast Improvement Company. “We’re honored to have been selected to revive this icon and can’t wait get started.” The architect for the project is Wessling Architects of Quincy, Mass. The project includes stripping the exterior down to the frame and installing new insulation, sheathing, siding, windows and doors. BTI Launches Shared Space Division

Hanover, MA, July 21, 2020 -- Brookline Transportation, Inc. (BTI), a Mayflower Van Lines agent specializing in commercial, lab, medical, science and residential moves, recently started a shared space division to its arsenal of commercial moving offerings. For both scenarios, BTI provides decommissioning services that include removal of office furniture—desks, chairs, workstations, lamps, computers, printers, etc. Part of BTI’s decommissioning services includes contacting a network of non-profits to find a suitable donor/recipient. Enrollment is Open at Boys & Girls Club of Marshfield Summer Camp

Bruneau & Co.'s online-only Antiques & Fine Art auction, July 23, will kick off with vibrant paintings by Indian artists

Auctioneers’ online-only Antiques & Fine Art auction on Thursday, July 23rd, will kick off with vibrant paintings by Indian artists Maqbool Fida Hussain (1913-2011) and B. Prabha (1933-2001). They will be followed by more than 300 lots, collected from estates across New England. Everything will be sold to the highest bidder, with no reserves. Lot 1 is a Modernist-Cubist watercolor painting by Maqbool Fida Hussain (often called “the Picasso of India”), depicting a galloping golden horse illuminated by the sun with a floating hand. The work, 20 inches by 30 inches (sight), is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Hussain’s son, Shafat, stating it was done in 2002. The painting should hit $8,000-$12,000. Lot 2 is an oil on canvas Portrait of a Young Woman by B. Prabha, who entered the art world when few Indian women were involved professionally, and worked on over 50 exhibitions inside and outside of India. The portrait is of a beautiful Indian woman with red top, yellow Ghoonghat and gold hoop earrings.
