and my love and greetings as also the wishes from the glorious Ef 🌹

देर रात तक काम किया ; नींद लगी तो जल्द सो गया ,

मद्य रात फिर याद आया, अरे ब्लॉग लिखना तो भूल गया ;

हढ़ भढ़ा के उठ खड़ा हुआ , तुकबंदी करने बैठ गया ;

लगा

कुछ कविता रूपी लिखूँगा, तो शायद Ef क्षमा भी करदेगा ...

... and then, as is but natural, the thoughts ran to dear Babuji and his words sprung up upon me , titled :

कविता और कविता

चालीस बरस पहले एक कविता पढ़ी थी ;

आज उसे फिर पढ़ता हूँ ,

लगता है पहली बार पढ़ रहा हूँ ।

चालीस दिन पहले एक कविता पढ़ी थी ;

आज उसे फिर पढ़ता हूँ ,

लगता है पुराना अख़बार पढ़ रहा हूँ ।

.. and the embarrassment of having put some words in rhythm above 👆🏼 , and the impressions of Babuji's words resound , that they resemble reading an old news paper ...

No, never compare yourself to genius ; compare your own worth and absorb their genius ..

Work and its absorption comes from the audience that comes to the show and gives their unstinted time and energy to enhance the proceedings .. it is they that make the show .. they applaud , they laugh , they acknowledge the winner , they smile and give credit when due and above all they assist in the winnings of the contestant when ever he or she seeks the 'audience poll ' ..

My extreme love and admiration for them, and even though the event is over, I do go around and give an opportunity to take personal pictures with them , to talk at times, to meet the elderly that make an effort to come , and to accept the hand made gifts that many bring ..

.. the young smiling faces ..

.. the little personal conversation ..

.. their laughter in admiration ..

.. the middle aged and the elderly ..

... an old acquaintance , now weak but full of love and remembrance ..

.. and the respect for the wheel chaired .. immobile through illness but mobile by the desire to be a part of the audience ..

Only respect for them all as I depart, with the lasting memories .. and the wave of gratitude for their love ..

nt to forget the hand made gifts that they so generously present :

.. a chartered accountant but makes tea and turmeric ,haldi, powder organically .. at home .. I bring it along and shall use them .. 😀

O ! dear and then .. the contestant wishes to ask questions instead of me asking them .. and they put up pictures of mine and ask what were you doing ..???? in them

errr .. jumping off a cliff , about 20-30 feet , no harness in those days, and the expression saying it all - "wonder how many bones I shall be breaking on landing"

the mike and the signboard - stage shows 1983 on a World tour , the first to have started this , and the one in the prestigious Madison Square Garden, New York and the signage informing its on tonight

that green background is the green for camera VFX .. and fooling around on set as the music plays , recorded by my dear musical duo Rohan-Vinayak .. 🤣

.. err either its a yawn or pointing to the fractured toe and the reason why I wear sneakers on set .. 😳

Ate the most delicious 'cookies ' in the entire World .. and they came from a friend to me .. elegantly packed .. aesthetic and simply the very best .. could not resist , and they became my dinner ..

Ef Ritika Jain Sunday, 15 September .. and all our wishes to our Ef with the prayer that all be well and in the joy of happiness and a harmonious life .. 🌹❤️❤️

time passed away and the time now reads 1:18 am of the Sunday September of the year 2024 .. so what .. we are still on it ..

some rather interesting developments occurred .. the bandages .. few bandages came off .. so when the walk on the GOJ occurs they shall be in remission and absent - the bandages !!

the distance from the well wishers gets intimate and close as the stand rolls forward .. gives me better position to welcome those that stand on the mid partition of the road , and often go unnoticed .. no that shall not happen or should never happen ..

yes the well wisher is the reason for our presence .. they dictate our being .. they desire , we aspire and give reason for their presence .. !

without them we are nobody .. nothing nada .. !!!

fear not the disinterest from the audience .. when you aspire they be the ones to walk beside you ..

each criticism is the bed of steaming fire coals that compel you to walk over them .. and when it has been swept under the bare feet .. the ground on the other side is the coolant respite ..

when the day of birth be ❤️ day .. then blessings and love ..

memories of the past days .. occasions that were of immense joy , but also of the reality of life and its circumstances challenges and how they are overcome by the grit and hard work of survival ..

each day a lesson .. each day the gift of life .. each day of how precious we are to be born human and to exist we do .. each day the witness for the misery of another and the helplessness to not be able to do what we as humanity should ..

but we try .. effort and will is never lost .. or tired , or made aloof ..

we do want to .. we do .. and at times there is a benefit to the other ..

the 'other' .. what a word invention - 'other' .. there is research and analysis on just this one word - 'the other' .. so many interpretations , so many verse and adverse , so many in concussion , and so many in conclusion, but still alive and just live ..

you go about in your solitary and the mind never wavers from its reality or its inreality .. and both are astonishing and unnerving ..

Oh ! what are we here on this hemisphere .. for what purpose .. for what deed and expectation .. we never know .. some do and have found their mojo .. hah ! mojo .. another lovely modern dictionaried expression ..

'mojo' from the Spainish mojo ..'make wet' .. from 'mojar' make wet !!

make wet ? no idea how it fits in with modern verbology .. but once popularised, works ..

The glory of interpretation on the standards of the minds of theoir own, in order that their dukaan chalti rahe .. दुकान चलती रहे !!

The ability of the construct to interpret mind without factual knowledge is the boon of the yellow pencil pushers ..

पूज्य बाबूजी की एक छोटा सी टिप्पणी याद आ रही है , और मैं मुस्कराता हूँ, की इतने सालों पहले, एक कवि की दृष्टि कितनी व्यापक थी ।। उनकी बात को शायद ६० वर्ष हो गये होंगे इसे लिखे हुए ! कभी यहाँ लिख दूँगा !!

And the work and day routine undergoes a change .. an early rise , an early rest .. and the rest be blessed .. praying that this fructifies ..

and again Babuji's shlok in sanskrit is remembered , on the early rise and the resting during the day , and the loss thereof .. had recited it on KBC once ..

Oh dear back to the YPP .. 🥹 .. and the sorry state of their condition and circumstances .. to build their daily delivery in the information or rather the misinformation व्यवसाय ..

ok off to the work shop of the body and then WORK of the sound..

the last thoughts on the Blog last night spoke about 'reflection' .. this 'sher' sums it all up :

मैं तो 'मुनीर ' आईने में तक कर हैरान हुआ

ये चेहरा कुछ और था पहले किसी ज़माने में

surprised I was when I looked into the mirror ; this face that I see now was something else at another time some years ago ..

I await the call from the GOJ, on yet another Sunday .. and still wonder which face they shall relate to ; those that have given me so much time love and attention, despite the face .. !!

I hear the cheers from below my window and comfort myself with hope .. but life and attention are short lived .. life withers and ends, attention withers and eventually ends too .. there is but one similarity -

IT ALL ENDS EVENTUALLY !!

The festivities of Ganapati have begun and the might and care of the mighty saviour are prayed upon for HIS blessings .. may HE guide us all on the path of peace and accomplishment .. and bring the years of life with the abundance of happiness .. for happiness is the infinite eventual ..

The cheers were genuine .. the well wishers on their way either to ganpati Poojan by the sea .. or returning from it , so there were numbers .. but the enthusiasm was most valuable .. it changed many a face .. including mine .. ! the 'sher' 👆🏼 notwithstanding ..

Encouraged by the response to my earlier Blog .. by the ones that feel for the presence here on this platform, I find a relevant quote of a 'sher' शेर ..

when there is the joy of waiting each moment ; why should I ask when do we meet

'प्रतिभा का अनुकरण भौंडा होता है . .. कवि का - वास्तव में , प्रत्येक मनुष्य का , अपना ही सत्य इतना मूल्यवान होता है कि उसे दूसरों के सत्य को दुहराने की आवश्यकता नहीं '

~ a response to a letter from an enthusiast of Babuji , on a subject of following glory .. those that have the learning of a seemed translation of the Hindi may please oblige .. not just for a poet but indeed for each human , their own truth is so valuable , that repeating another's truth is not a necessity ..

a day filled with reflection .. of thought .. of an evaluation of all that we are .. our deeds, our living our day to day routines and other ..

many feel they have achieved all , in one lifetime .. may they be blessed .. but does one really have the reflect on their achievement .. for , when you reach out to it, you realise there was never an end .. it may well have been the very beginning .. and the distress that sets in is ever the helplessness of the limited time .. yet we all wish for eternity .. चिर आयु भवः ... blessings for an eternal life is what in our culture, we repeat endlessly as a blessing by the elders for the young !!!
