What is the best way to learn anatomy and line work (and maybe also colors) if you don’t mind me asking.

I really love how you draw anatomy and I love to look closely at your line work too (combined with the anatomy, it just feels like the rough surface of skin and texture), the colors are super amazing too. PLEASE TEACH ME YOUR WAYS

in terms of anatomy - i draw from references more often than not. if i have a specific idea, i'll look for poses that are similar and draw from that (more often than not tho it gets changed a bit in the process for better silhouette) and if not i just draw pics with nice poses as my faves. its a bit like tricking yourself into doing studies. i also think it's fine to draw over reference photos to get a general feel of how the body poses, and if there's a specific silhouette you're looking for. references are just another tool to drawing!

in terms of lineart... to be honest, my style's always just leaned towards being lineart heavy, which is why i'm not good at rendering or painting at all LMAO but i definitely think finding a good brush that translates the pressure and tilt of your natural drawing position well helps a lot. i draw very fast and there's not a lot of brushes that feel right for me to use so i've stuck with mine for like, ever since i downloaded it when i was 16. (you can get mine here https://t.co/C4TFqyVNeS) also i think forcing yourself to draw with thinner lines helps you learn how to carve out the details and shape of a character. there's more leeway with thick lines since it takes up so much of the drawing's focus, and the thickness can sometimes mask what would be anatomical mistakes in a characters shape.

also colors - you need to tap into gradient mapping and color curves if you haven't. it's a complete game changer.
