     she’s  annoyed  with  him  right  now;  honestly,  if  she  wasn’t  going  to  get  fined  by  the  police  (  especially  since  her  friend  over  here  is  the  son  of  the  chief  )  ,  she’d  push  him  out  of  the  haunted  house  with  her  punching  any  ghosts  /  monsters  that  appear  in  front  of  them.  lara  jean  likes  anything  supernatural,  but  she  doesn’t  do  well  with  scares.  a  fighter,  if  you  will.  she  frowned,  hearing  a  child’s  laughter  &  soft  piano  playing  in  the  background.  nuh-uh,  she  ain’t  getting  jumpscared.   ❝   haha,  very  funny,  ty.  come  on,  let’s  just  move  along,  q u i c k l y. ❞  

          “quickly.”  and  so  he  slows,  just  to  tease.  begins  to  shuffle  his  feet  along  at  a  turtle’s  pace.  the  grin  he’s  wearing  lights  up  his  whole  face  and  he  has  to  work  hard  not  to  laugh.  he’s  having  far  too  much  fun  with  this;  much  more  than  with  the  actual  haunted  house.  “like  this??”                           (  at  least  HE  thinks  he’s  funny.  )

i love characters who are open and vocal about their anger– whether it is directed at a toxic system, person, or at an event or circumstance unique to them 

i love angry characters because i am sick of anger being seen as something that is uncouth and something that should be restrained, kept quiet, never acted upon 

i love angry characters because i am angry, and anger isn’t always rational, but it is real and deserves to be acknowledged –people and characters should have the right to be loud and angry and for it to not constantly be shown in a negative light

          in  reality  charlie  was  much  more intuitive  than  he  initially  let  on.  he  knew  that  bella  had  gotten  herself  into  something  dangerous  by  dating  edward.  he  knew  that  both  of  his  kids  were  at  odds,  for  one  they  weren’t  eating  breakfast  together.  the  only  thing  he  could  do  is  try  to  keep  normal  going  for  as  long  as  possible.  he  missed  the  days  when  they  were  younger  and  would  visit.  all  he  had  to  worry  about  was  them  getting  hurt  on  the  playground  or  running  away  from  santa  claus.  now  there  was  so  much  more.           a  small  formed  on  his  features  after  a  took  a  sip  of  his  coffee,  putting  the  mug  down  after  deciding  to  let  it  cool  down  some  more.  “really?  she’ll  be  relieved  to  hear  that  then.”  at  least  he  didn’t  have  to  rethink  the  christmas  present.  “oh  i  don’t  know,  figured  you  could  get  some  nice  pictures  out  there.  maybe  help  your  old  man  if  i  come  across  any  evidence.”  riley  was  still  missing.  it  had  been  a  year  since  harry  died  out  in  that  same  forest.  there  was  something  there,  he  knew  it.  “i  know  bella  takes  pictures  of  people  mainly,  but  what’s  the  harm  in  playing  detective  every  now  and  then.”

          “yeah,  okay,  cool.”  he  gave  a  nod.  it  wasn’t  like  he  had  anything  else  going  on;  besides,  could  be  fun.  and,  if  nothing  else,  it’d  be  a  distraction  from  all  the  other  shit  that’d  been  going  on  around  them.  and  maybe  he  could  get  a  few  good  shots  in,  that  would  be  a  plus.  he  shoved  some  more  cereal  in,  not  taking  the  time  to  really  taste  it.  “we  looking  for  anything  specific?  is  it  about  that  stuff  going  on  in  seattle?”           not  that  tyler  knew  much  about  that  outside  of  newspaper  headlines  and  rumors,  or  how  it  could  be  connected  to  anything  in  their  little  town.  but  it  was  the  most  he  could  think  of;  there  wasn’t  much  else  happening,  was  there?  no  other  reason  to  be  scouring  around  for  evidence.  gaze  moved  between  his  cereal  and  charlie,  curious.

          honestly it’s in my rules, but just a gentle reminder that this blog is going to contain underage. and if that makes you uncomfortable, i am sorry but i’m  not  going to change  it. ALL  parties  will be  over 15 ( i don’t really play ty under 16 anyway ) if  it gets explicit, i’ll tag it, but if   it just makes you    THAT  UNCOMFORTABLE    it’s...        probably best not to follow. i’ll understand.  won’t  accept  hate  for  it.  but !

     going from helping raise children to raising two full fledged teenagers on his own required some getting used to. thankfully this wasn’t the first time charlie was taking care of others, he had gotten enough experience with his parents. with the longer his kids spent here the more he noticed bella was getting distant, or at least spending time with edward, and that meant he had more quality time with tyler. “hey, bud.” he pulled out the chair in the kitchen and took a seat. “your mom’s been asking me if you enjoyed the camera so far?” he might have been foreshadowing, but the swan siblings christmas gifts were going to be more additions to their cameras so he had to make sure they liked them. “i was thinking about going out into the forest today before dinner if you wanted to tag along, take some more pictures.”

          tyler  was  unceremoniously  shoveling  cereal  into  his  mouth  when  charlie  joined  him  at  the  kitchen  table.  his  eyes  were  still  a  bit  cloudy  with  sleep,  taking  on  a  far  off  quality.  he  hadn’t  slept  very  well  the  night  before  and  he  had  every  intention  of  blaming  bella  for  that.  the  boy  hated  when  they  fought,  it  left  a  sick  feeling  in  his  stomach.  he  was  only  eating  then  because  it  had  been  a  while.  and  even  so,  the  food  was  setting  all  wrong  in  his  stomach.  but  he  refused  to  apologize,  he  was  not  in  the  wrong.           brown  eyes  darted  up,  surprise  crossing  his  features.  like  he  hadn’t  realized  he  was  no  longer  alone  --  and  he  hadn’t,  not  fully.  it  took  him  a  moment,  but  then,  “oh  --  oh!  it’s  great,  tell  her  i  love  it.”  as  if  that  was  even  a  question.  he  never  went  anywhere  without  it.  of  course,  the  same  could  be  said  of  every  single  one  before  it,  too.  it  was  a  rare  sight,  him  without  a  camera.  “sure.  what’s  in  the  forest?”
