Happy Women’s Day. Today, I decided, I’m going to be selfish from now on. 👑 As women, we are told to be nice, don’t be confrontational, turn the other cheek. Well, I’m saying I’m tired of that. I’m going to be selfish now. 🦢 I’m not going to let anyone rush me anywhere, I’m not going to let any brand or company try to underprice me, I’m going to take my sweet ass time on my favorite elliptical while watching the @foodnetwork at the gym, I’m not going to feel small for speaking up for myself when someone thinks they want to be slick. 👠 Im going to do this my way. I’m going to buy what I like, do what I please, pitch to the biggest companies and annoy the living hell out of them until they say yes, tell the cheapskate to either pay me or hit the door. 💰 I’m not allowing anyone that gives me anxiety into my space. I’m not going to allow my parents’ voice cloud my inner thoughts. 🤼‍♀️ I’ll be vulnerable when I want to, and damn everyone’s thought who don’t like it. It’s a bit of a solemn week where I live in SFL. I only live a few minutes away from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High, where 17 families were changed forever by senseless and preventable violence last Valentine’s Day. My church opened their doors to everyone in need and did the funerals of many of the children and staff, regardless of religion. 🕯 So while I’m not usually a mushy person at all, I would appreciate it if everyone who saw this would keep Parkland, SFL, and the #msdstrong families in mind.
